1) EMAIL no empty the trash? I have over 1000 emails in the trash and I cant empty them.
2) EMAIL You can EASILY open an email trying to check it.
3) EMAIL No way to create filters to separate emails and create JUNK filters.
4) EMAIL You can easily open an email trying to scroll. Seems like we need a safe area on the left or right so we can scroll without opening the email.
5) Text Messaging. You cant copy a sent message or a portion of it? This doesn't seem possible and is very irritating. I cant forward a message either.
6) Text Messaging something read a text message for me? Like a text to voice reader? This can help with all the driving rules.
7) Text Messaging An automatic reply that can be turned off or on to inform users you are on the road.
8) Video Player. I like to play movies but have often noticed audio drift on several
videos. SO the video player needs a way to delay or advance audio to match the video like VLC has.
9) Video Player ZOOM I need custom zoom sizes so I can play video and resize them to FIT the video window irrespective of the aspect ratio. The screen it too small to care.
I want to digitize my video at 320x480 and zoom it up why not so I can get more video on my phone.
10) WEB Browser Last complaint for today.. FLASH WHERE THE $^$%#& is the FLASH support that was promised by Adobe?
11) WEB Browser Shouldn't you be able to copy text from a web page to use in a search?
WHY cant I view pages without being classified into special class?
I love the phone but it really lags from where I expected it to be at this point. With so many developers maybe its hard to find the good stuff?

unzip the two files to the root of your SD card. this worked on my storm (notice my Storm's internal drive still has a 9550 as an icon in the image). so i assume it will work on the incredible.
How is Home++ app for driod 2.0? Does it lag/ crash or anything? Also how do I get the wallpaper that i see like Batman or some of the other cool wallpapers I have seen in post? Is there a way to get it directly on phone as opposed to the pc and tranferring it to phone?

I was wondering if it was possible to pro-grammatically change the Content Provider used when making a query given a Content URI. The reason being I need to know if it's possible to force the Calendar/Contacts applications to read from a different database via a different Content Provider temporarily while my application is running, so that I can reuse those applications to display my own data. Since the Content URI s are hard coded in each of these applications the only way it might be possible is if we could somehow temporarily change the Content Provider used for a given URI. I know this probably isn't possible, I just need to show it isn't. Could someone confirm this can't be done?

Sprint has restarted my phone too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've gotten the Motorola RAZR and now cannot download any attachments that come in via text. I see a "download" button and a "delete" button, but no attachment. When I touch "download" it appears that the attachment is downloading, but then I get the cursed red X! I have contacted Motorola tech support. Interestingly, the attachments came in fine on my Thunderbolt, but have never shown up on my RAZR..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Droid Razr M (8 GB) and I am running a stock build(9.8.1Q-78-1), and yesterday I reset my phone to factory defaults because I filled up it's disk space, then, I re-rooted it, it worked fine, but now, today I am missing EVERY SINGLE stock app, I tried resetting it to factory defaults again, and it still was missing them all, I then used a device explorer, and my "system/app" folder is like completely empty, (DROID RAZR M Running JB 4.1.2 as stated in the title)
If it makes a difference, it is a Verizon, it was 100% stock still, I had not installed anything yet after I rooted it, and the root was 100% successful because I did it the same way I did before.
All I need is, Camera, Galary, and Calendar now.
I am having a hard time understanding content providers. In the notepad example and others, the content provider never even declares its CONTENT_URI anywhere inside itself, yet the docs say to publicly declare this. It's declared in a different class. So when an activity queries a content provider with a CONTENT_URI, how does Android know which one I want. I see no link between a content provider and its CONTENT_URI declared in another class.
I also don't how to think about intents and content providers. I know that you don't call an intent on a content provider. But an activity queries a content provider without an intent, and an activity has a mimetype attribute in the manifest that would seem to tie it to a content provider.
I have some fave. apps I would like to move to the first loading page.

We would like to use a content provider to do that. Most example seems to be about using an SQL database, but we use some custom text file. I was wondering what would be the best way to do that. I was thinking I could use a Content Provider and implement the Cursor interface on a custom object that I would manually fill with my text data. Would this be possible ? Anyone have a better idea (excluding changing to SQL lite of course)?

The problem is that I want to create a demo version of my app and I want it to share the same content provider so when the user install the full version, the data is kept in sync. Also, it should be possible to install only the full or the demo version. Therefore, I have to include my content provider in both.Now, when I try to install both apps error message, obviously because both AndroidManifest declare the same content provider.Is there a way to tell in the Manifest that this content provider should be used only if it doesn't already exists ? Or another workaround ?A solution would be that the full version migrate the data from a demo content provider to the full version content provider, but I would rather avoid that.
