Every time I make or receive a call, the loudspeaker is always on. I've looked at the various settings, but cant seem to find anything to turn it off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I make a call, or sometime when someone calls me, I have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the other end. Apparently, whoever is on the other end can still hear me before I do this, but it is pretty much happening all the time now. Has anyone else experienced this? I googled and looked for some kind of setting, but I have not found a solution yet.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried searching this topic for 15 minutes but cannot find anything about it, so I'm sorry if it has been posted before... Anyways, when there is an auxiliary cable, or headphones I'm assuming also, plugged into the phone, I can hear the person who I call/who calls me, but they cannot hear me through the phone. Is this true with everyone's phone? Listening to music and then having someone call me while it is plugged in is very annoying as I have to hang up on them and call back.
View 11 Replies View Relatedtheir Droid X going mute when making or receiving phone calls where the person on the other line can not hear you but you can hear them? The mute button is not lit up and I can't unmute it. I have tried doing a factory reset but that did not seem to solve the problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs anyone noticing lag on this? My phone will start to ring, but then like 4 seconds later the option to accept the call will come up. Also, when dialing out I feel like it lags with Fresh 2.1.1 - trying to use my phone as a phone!
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy SII, on O2 in the UK with their latest software release (Jelly Bean). Since the update the Jelly Bean the other month, it had been working like a dream, but starting this week, my phone seems to freeze whenever a call is recieved, or I try to dial out. The screen just goes black and the phone becomes unresponsive. Sometimes, the screen just stays black and I have to take the battery out to restart. At other times the phone will come back after between 1 and 4 minutes, after apparently rebooting itself (the Samsung welcome screen flashes up).
The phone will also now hang and fail to play media (MP3) files. Whether using the Google Player, the native Samsung app or VLC. Normally, the screen goes black for a minute or two and then the app will show the track as queued up with artwork) but it will not play and the app just freezes. Other apps, internet browsing and text messages works as usual.
I have tried removing any recently installed apps (only Dropbox was new recently) and I tried the factory reset. The problems persist after both.
My Eris has been acting very buggy. I am running the OTA OS 2.1. (I have not rooted my phone.) Please excuse me if I sound fairly ignorant about my phone in this post. I'm not very technical.
My phone has very little internal memory left. I read that I needed to delete all apps I wasn't using, clear cache, export contacts to sd card, import contacts from phone back on and then delete any unused contacts. I've done all of that and my avail internal memory is still only 50 MB.
My screen freezes on occassion when making or receiving calls. I seem to miss occassional calls. And there is considerable lag.
These probably all sound like silly problems but like I said, I'm not very technical. I've read others have some of the same issues.. And like I said, I tried some of the solutions mentioned.
Any way to use the Droid to make calls over WiFi as opposed to the VZW network? I have terrible coverage at my house, and would like to just use my WiFi connection. I would need to be able to go over WiFi but still be considered a Verizon Wireless call, as I call a lot of people with Verizon and take advantage of the free calling to Verizon customers. I don't see why Verizon wouldn't take advantage of something like this, it would only take strain off of their network if some users are connecting on their WiFi networks.
View 15 Replies View RelatedBasically I live in the middle of no where, and I don't have cell coverage at home. A friend of mine came over to the house with his BlackBerry and was able to connect to our WiFi, then make and receive calls. Is there an app that can do this? Or a setting on my Captivate?

View 8 Replies View Relatedon my Ideos x5, every time I call or receive a call the display shows a contact information from SIM card and not the contact that I copied on the phone, which is bad because this way it shows only the number and the name and nothing else. Is there a way to make the contacts stored on the phone the ones that get displayed when calling or receiving a call without deleting the sim card contacts?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there an app available that allows me to make cheap international calls? So far the only only one ive seen gives you a local access number to dial. But the problem with this is that it uses the inclusive mins from your mobile. Are there any apps that gives cheap rates and uses 3g/WiFi to make the calls?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am considering an Android based 'phone, in particular the Motorola Dream X or one that has an HDMI output, but before I take the plunge I would like to check this:
The HDMI o.p on the 'phone is connected to an external television.A film is being watched by several people. During playback a call is received on the Android 'phone. Can one make and receive telephone calls during playback (routed to a bluetooth headset) without interrupting the film.
When driving I have the phone on the dashboard but do not feel comfortable pressing a button or dragging the menu down to answer a call. I don't have a hands free kit or bluetooth headset and wondered if there is a way of answering by voice and then speaking over the loudspeaker?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a phone book app which will help me stop making international calls. I want to be able to selectively pick the numbers I never want to dial as I have run a huge bill by mistake. I don't want to put international barring, as I won't be able to text abroad. I just want the app to stop me from calling abroad. Does anyone know of any app or know of a workaround? I currently use Phonebook and I don't know if this is possible with this app.

And ironically, we decided to drop our land line last month. Now its like I've been plunged back into the 90's dialup days of can't be on the phone and Internet at the same time!
I've had my phone a few days and have noticed a crackling when making regular calls at anything above around 65% volume. This seems to happen only on louder parts of speech. It's pretty frustrating when I'm in public and need the volume louder.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor the past few days now when I make a call it has a delay in making the connection, like 10 seconds, never had this issue before, the only program I have installed lately was the GPS for golf and of course the latest updates on the existing programs I have. I have rebooted many times since and still have the issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my Magic today (Rogers) and things went pretty smoothly. Phone unlocked fine, AT&T's APN entered correctly, web browsing is good, Exchange is up and running, etc. But, I am having a problem dialing outbound calls, it is only working intermittently. I'm in a known good service area (5 bars) and have strong signal. Half the time I try to make an outbound call, it fails after about 5 seconds of just sitting there and saying "dialing" - it just craps-out and I get the fast busy signal and a "called failed" message. I try again - same thing. Every once and a while it will go through - and then the cycle happens all over again. This isn't happening in any of my other devices. Could there be a setting in the "phone" area that I have to tweak or something? Obviously a phone that doesn't make calls consistently is no good to me!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have turned off all vibrations on my phone because I can not stand them. The only ones I can not figure out is when making a call. When dialing numbers, it has the haptic feedback for each number, and when you press send it vibrates for an outgoing call. Any one know how to turn these off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my EVO has decided to stop accepting any incoming calls, texts, or voice mails. I was only able to receive these messages when I was able to get a call to connect and I got a flood of voice mails and texts as if it hadn't been connected to the network the entire time. It also does this thing where it doesn't connect the call when I dial someone. Instead of connecting and seeing the time duration for the call appear, it instead takes forever to connect and just says dialing for a really long time. It was doing it last night, and then this morning it seemed to be normal again, but now it's doing it again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I won't have time to go to sprint until Monday and this is really irritating me.

I have noticed that when I am browsing web pages I cannot receive phone calls - they go straight to voicemail. I am using a T-Mobile G2 on the T-mobile network in the UK. Is this a standard issue and, if so, are they any ways of dealing with it?
View 14 Replies View RelatedSo I'm at work (I'm in the Army), and someone who recently got a Droid was asking about not being able to browse the web while in the middle of a phone call. Someone else who had an iPhone said they could do this. But the person with the Droid tested it, made a phone call and was not able to bring the browser up.
