im having trouble finding out what actual phone i have, as the galaxy spica, portal and lite, are all the same phone. now does this mean that different countries have called it different things? orrr do they have different internal components?either way i have a really irritating problem and cant figure out which phone forum to post it in, and i dont wanna spam and post it in all of them.

It connects easily but when I go to either browser or opera mobile it doesn't load the login page the browser still thinks it has no connection. Is there anyway to approach this in a better way or bypass the login or at least save it to automatically do it each time.I need a wifi connection! every building has it. annoying this is once you move to a different building the settings are changed(probably because of the routers) and I have to redo it. of course it never works

Chosing between this two because Nexus One is too expensive for me and the only android phones avaliable in my country is Samsung Galaxy and Hero. Here is my breakdown of the Samsung Galaxy and Hero. I tot the main difference these two phones have is that Hero have customisable roms readily availble while the Galaxy don't. It is important to have customisable roms. Will the Samsung Galaxy unskinned Android 1.5 suffice? I heard that it is getting Android 2.0 Will there be any ramification if my Galaxy stays as 2.0 as I am worried that Samsung will support it till then and that without customisable roms I can't update it myself.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAnd I amazed at how the battery has lasted.I unplugged it yesterday and have used it as much as my X10 and even drove for 2 hours using Google voice navigation plus installing a load of apps to make me feel more at home with it and I still have more than 50% battery left!It's running 2.1, now I know it has a smaller screen and possessor but WOW.Now if only the X10 had battery life like that, I only hope that the promised 2.1 for the X10 will give half the battery life of this Galaxy and I will be a happy bunny and have now found a Vimeo app so I can watch all them lovely kiting videos on there without needing 2.2 for Flash Player.

I know it says save states are only available to the full version, but I assumed the in game save would work. I tested it immediately (didn't want to get into a game and not be able to save at all) and to my dismay it didn't work. I emailed the dev and he confirmed that even in game saving is not available on the lite version. Kinda makes the LITE version totally useless doesn't it? Anyway, my real question is if there is a way to get the emulator to save without paying 3.50 for the full version? I know what many people will say/think; "It's only $3.50, just buy it." But there are plenty of free emulators out there for PC, not sure why I would pay for one on my phone.

I've though I read something about swiping down to get rid of it but that doesn't seem to work on my Desire. I thought I had read the instructions but if I'm missed something, please tell me. From 8 to 8:30a.m., when I'm on my way to work, I want it to turn off wi-fi and turn the phone ringer to full volume. I got that one figured out.
At 8:30, I'd like the phone ringer to go back to normal and wi-fi to come on. Do I need to set up a timed profile for that, or does it automatically happen when 8:30 comes?
Then from 5 to 5:30pm, I want the same thing to happen as I drive home. I'm guessing I can use the same "action" as above, and set the timer for 5-5:30pm.
When I get home, I'd like wi-fi to be on and the ringer to be normal. Do I have to set up a special profile for that, too?
Then I'm wondering about "locations" and this may be a stupid question: let's say I get home early, at 5:15. Is it possible to have a profile set up that says, "when you sense our home wi-fi network, turn the wi-fi on and override the timed 5-5:30 rule above?" Or does the wi-fi need to be ALREADY on to sense our home wi-fi network channel?
