Android :: How To Solve 301 Moved Permanently In Android Webview?

I am trying to implement foursquare OAuth based authentication in my android app. It works fine in my Andorid web browser, but it displays "301 moved permanently" in Android webview. I tried to debug it and found that it displays this error on following URL:https://foursquare.com/mobile/login?continue=%2Fmobile%2Foauth%2Fauthorize%3Foauth_token{my_token}
And the same URL works fine on Andriod browser. So, I think there is something need to be done with webview seetings.

I am facing a problem. I launched a webview with some url. After url is completely loaded I try to get its content in a Canvas. But I am unable to do so. its crashing at libsgl.so
My goal is to get webview complete data in a bitmap. There is one api getDrawingCache() which gets the webview data in a bitmap format, but it gets only the visible content. I actually want the whole content in a bitmap.
If there is some another way, then how can I go about that.

With a 8 gb class 4 card. I created a 500 mb EX2 partition. Using AppsToSD, I moved all applications, but not the cache, as I have been advised that the class 4 sd could have slowdown issues moving the cache as well. I have about 45 apps on the phone. The available internal memory is sitting at 16 mb available. Does this sound about right? It seems low to me.

I did a dumb thing. First, I installed Angry Birds (this was not the dumb thing, by the way, unless you count how much of my life it has consumed) and then moved the app to the SD card.The dumb thing was that a while later I was charging my phone via my computer (and I was in Disk Drive mode) and I went to play the game. Well, the icon was wrong and the game wouldn't play, so I panicked thinking that I might have lost all my progress. I went out to the market and re-downloaded the game. Whew! All my progress was still there.Later the whole you-just-couldn't-access-your-SD-card-at-the-moment-you-idiot thing sank in and I realized I had the app on both the card and in phone storage. So I went into Applications and tried to move it to the SD card, but I got an error (presumably because it's already there). So now it's taking up room in phone storage and I don't want it to. I'm afraid if I uninstall the app completely that I really will lose my progress. Any suggestions?

So just checked my upgrade date and its later than what I was hoping. anyone know of anything I can do to try and get the date moved up? ts set for October 23 and I have resourced back to my old droid that has a lot of problems and just cant wait any longer for the upgrade to the DX.

So I just got my Nexus One (like literally a few hours ago) and yay everything is nice (well not everything - for some reason I can't download apps from the market). Anyways, I figure, let's see how this thing is for reading pdfs.
I mounted it as a drive via usb. Created a docs directory, and place a pdf book in it.
Ok...Now how do I open that file?

I was wondering if its possible to have an application run on startup of the phone and then run permanently in the background. Also I would then like it to monitor the call log, and detect any changes and run about 15, 20 lines of code each time there is a change.

It's actually really easy, and you don't need to use animations. I did something like this recently by using a wrapper layout that adjusts the Canvas and any MotionEvents. (You could also use this approach rotate the entire layout to any arbitrary angle.) I think romainguy told me to use Canvas.concat(mForward) instead of setMatrix(), but I haven't updated the code in awhile...................

Is there one which by default keeps them switched off when that option is selected? Currently the Milestone reactivates them when the phone is switched back on. I'd find this useful so that when roaming internationally I can control when I download ie on Wifi only, and not rack on huge data bills!

Love apps so was pleased to get 2.2 and start moving stuff over to create space but noticed than when an app moves, it typically takes up a lot less space.
As an example, install alchemy today:
Space according to market = 2.08MB
Without running, app manager space reported = 2.35MB
Move to SD
Space reported = 276KB
I haven't done any kind of detailed research so I'm not sure why this is but would make a guess at the install/temp files being disposed of when they move...?? Makes sense to me, all apps still work fine but take up much less space.

I use Gmail and use the Gmail app as my mail app. Gmail notifies me when I have new mail. My Droid also came with the Email app, which is also hooked into my gmail account. By default, it also checks for new messages and notifies me about them. Naturally, I don't want the double-notifications, and the Email app is also crap at marking emails off as read if I've read them in Gmail. So I went into the Email app settings and unchecked "Send notification." That worked great. BUT... it keeps turning itself back on. If I ever restart my phone, it comes back again with the same stupid notifications. I think sometime it resets itself if it restarts itself after I kill it. how to turn off notifications PERMANENTLY?

Have a moto droid on verizon and question about email. I'd like to be able to delete from inbox and have it deleted, not go to trash. Or at the very minimum, be able to empty the trash folder in one step without having to individually select each email to be deleted. Is either of these possible and I'm just missing something?

What is the best way to constantly update the center of a mapView's latitude and longitude in an Android application? I need to display it on a label that is shown on top of the map. I know you can call MapViewObject.getMapCenter() to get a GeoPoint of the center of the map, but where would I place that code so that it is called every time the user moves the map or zooms in/out?

I have a question, I've been adjusting my droid eris settings to save battery time. I installed the Handcent SMS to replace the SMS default application so that it does not stay on all time, but every time I check my phone with Advanced Task Manager Killer the Handcent SMS and Skype Mobile are ALWAYS ON. What can I do to turn them off permanently and thus save battery time?

I have a moto android w 2.1. The gmail app has been working fine until recently. Now it says no connection when I open the program. It shows two recent emails but no previous ones. I cannot send or receive anything w the app. My browser gmail is working properly. One user on the google support forum got no solutions from verizon, google, or motorola and had to do a hard reset. It appeared to fix the problem but I'm looking for a more friendly solution. Anyone else have this problem or have guess as to the solution?

I am able to deploy my application but for some reason, I am not able to get the icon to display in the pull up menu on the Home page of the OS. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this?
By the way, the application shows up in "Manage Applications" but does not show up as an icon for some reason. Through Eclipse, I am able to start the application after deployment but that's it... After that, I don't have any way to start it because there is no icon.code...

I have a small application. It has some user inputs (like name, phone number, country, connection type etc, I used editText for the user to enter). Its working fine on the emulator. When I installed the same app on real device, firstly it shows the whole input screen. But when I tried to give input, (changing into landscape mode) half of the screen is not visibiling. I want to show the whole screen, I dont know how to do?

I use the setBuiltInZoomControls to setup Zoom in my app, in the emulator, i can use mouse to click the zoom in/out, but when the app install in my machine, i can't use mouse to click, but still work by touch! did somebody know how to solve that?

I am following the android licensing documentation (http://developer.android.com/guide/publishing/licensing.html) and when i get to the step that I add the reference of the licensing project (in eclipse) to my project, I get an error in the console (see below) and my project doesn't build.
