View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Android 4.2.1 on Galaxy note 10.1. I am travelling and photographing and have 64 folders and 6gbs of pics on a 64*gb*sd card. The last two attempts to transfer images from my camera via USB have all failed with various weirdness, like seeing the pics in folder with Gallery app once, only to have the folder completely disappear on next viewing. I have lost over 800 photos like this and I can' t find anything about a folder limit in android but see lots of similar posts with sd card problems. All fine up until I hit that limit, now my whole image recording process while traveling appears to be unreliable. Is it possible the pics are there but not viewable somehow?

Second, I'm a bit confused about two sd cards shown in my "es datei explorer". There is a "sd card" and a "extsd card" which I suppose to be the real card. What's the first one?
I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?

on my Nexus 7 (Android 4.3). Via the reading history of my pdf reader (Moon+ reader) I can see that at least one file is still present in the cache under the following folder address:

How can I access this folder? When accessing the device via the Android File Transfer sofware for Mac, I don't see this folder. I have access to Android/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/files, but this folder contains no files but only another folder (called "pinned_doc_files_not_for_edit") which is also empty.
The lost pdf is still there, I can open it in the reader via the reading history, but I would like to access the folder to see whether other lost files (which are not in the reading history) are also still present. To be clear, the file which I can open is also not detected when searching the device for pdfs.
I'm currently porting Jelly Bean to my device and I have hit a logcat error which I can't figure out. It currently gets stuck at the boot animation: [URL] ......

I click clear and the notification keeps coming back (about an hour later). When I try to open the document I get a message saying the documents aren't on the device. Which makes sense because these are items I downloaded a year or so ago. how to stop it besides going back to the old version?

My current version is 4.1.2 and I want to update to 4.2.2, but I keep getting that error. I tried wiping the cache. My device has never been rooted. I bought my phone new and packaged and I did not root it. The status says that it's custom and I can't figure out how to solve this. On both devices, I have activated "Allow remote lock and factory reset" in the Google Settings app.However, while I have all functionalities shown as activated on the ADM web interface for the Nexus 10, my GNex is "stuck" with only the "Ring" function active. I have unchecked and rechecked "Allow remote lock and factory reset" and refreshed the web page, deleted the data from the Google Play Services app and rebooted, tried combinations of all of these, all to no avail. The ADM web interface continues to show only the "Ring" function for my GNex, with "Lock" and "Erase" greyed out.

I have the Galaxy Note and have, let's say... an emotional attachment to a particular WhatsApp chat thread I have in my Note.

I have my chat on the Note with my current phone number, which will be transferred to the new phone tomorrow and a temporary number on my new S4 so am assuming that my old phone will have no number as of tomorrow.
The Note has a faulty USB (it's the phone port not the cable as my new cable doesn't work with it either) so I cannot backup on my PC.
I have installed ES File Explorer on both phones.
I have Whatsapp installed on the old phone, but not the new one yet as I understand you should do that after creating the WhatsApp backup on the new phone.
How do I use ES File Explorer to transfer my (will do backup first, I know how to do that) backed up WhatsApp chat from the Note to the S4? I do NOT wish to root either phone.
Is it possible to merge the chat history for 2 Whatsapp accounts since I have another number?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just re-installed WhatsApp. I manually backed up my chat history before uninstalling using the built-in backup feature. When I re-installed it, the installation successfully found the backup and automatically restored it. I can see all my messages but the problem is the thumbnails of previous pictures do not open the full image. When I click on the thumbnail it says "Sorry, this media file doesn't exist on your SD card."
However when I check the folder, WhatsApp/Media/Images on my internal SD card, they are all still in there. It seems like the links are broken. Any new pictures that I receive after the re-installation work fine. And these new pictures are also in the said folder along with the previous pictures.
I have tried forcing a rescan of the media; moving all the pictures into another folder, rescanning, moving them back in then rescanning. I am on CM10. The WhatsApp folder is on the internal SD partition as it's always been (even in CM7).

I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank.
