I am trying to add my motorola milestone device into PC and debug in the device. When i put the usb cable, the device opens in data storage mode and opens the folder. But when i do a "adb devices" i dont see any device. i did the usb_driver fresh installation guide, but it returned "windows could not find a better driver than currently installed" I havd pointed to sdpath/usb_driver. what's wrong and how to resolve this?

I am having problems installing my app package onto new Driod phone. adb devices is returning the following. defined the rules file 51 - andorid. rules for motorola on my ubuntu. SUBSYSTEM=="usb_device", SYSFS{idVendor}=="22b8", MODE="0666" No recognition of the device.

The software and drivers installed without a problem.The device, however, was not recognized by Sync. I have tried so many things like: "mount and unmount" the SD card and the internal memory, also i have tried the USB debugging, i hava also tried the kies option on the phone, and nothing.. i have all the Samsung USB Drivers (version V.1.3.450.0) i have downloaded the kies program and the kies mini and they haven't work... what am i missing??? can anyone help me? View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC incredible 2 days ago. When I first got it it had no sd card, so i went back to the store and the guy gave me one. But even after putting the sd card in the device the device still doesnt recognize it. When I go to the settings and click on sd card and phone storage under sd card it says, total space: unavailable, available space: unavailable. this is a major problem cause now i cant download files or use several applications or features. ive tried taking it out and putting it back in, restarting the phone, and formatting the sd card to no avail. i'm no tech expert, but pretty tech savvy. This problem, though, has me pulling my hair out. it seems like a lot of ppl have been having the same problem, but no one has any answer that seems to be working. im going to the store tomorrow to see if its a problem with the sd card, but wanted to check if it was a problem with the phone or if anyone else has had the same problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Windows 7, received my Vibrant a few weeks ago and have been having a great time, but my phone doesn't mount! It mounted the very first time but after making a potential mistake, it stopped. Here's what happened: Yesterday I installed several apps (Beautiful Widgets, WidgetLocker, just for reference), and for the first time since receiving my handheld, wanted to add some files to it via my pc. I connected my Android as usual only to find that while both the phone & sd card were recognized on my computer, both contained no records, which was obviously a glitch.
I then tried unmounting my phone, and screwed up by selecting for my phone to be a media device rather than mass storage. Windows began searching for the device drivers, was unable to find them, and gave the message: "device driver software was not successfully installed." And now, whether mounted or not, windows no longer recognizes my phone's storage. My Android however, has no problems going from mounted to unmounted. However, I have tried connecting my phone to two other computers and none recognize my device.
I plugged my Droid X into my computer to try and transfer a video I took today. It came up with a Motorola "CD ROM" drive. I clicked the setup file, installed it, then switched my phone to USB Storage. Windows tried installing the drivers and said there was an error. Now when I connect my phone to the computer nothing happens besides windows saying theres an unknown device.

I've tried with both the 1.5 SDK and the 1.6 SDK. I have tried all the suggestions in the aforementioned thread. I can mount the device just fine, but adb does not work whether it is mounted or not. I've tried it both as root and as myself and with it in $PATH as well as using. In the dir. Adb appears to "work" as it tells me "List of devices attached". At some point right after I installed 1.5, I remember setting something up to make the USB connection easier, but I don't remember what that was. My hypothesis at this point is that is somehow interfering, but any help you can give either way would be much appreciated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI love SetCPU but I've noticed it's slow to recognize when the screen is on. My default setting is 1100/800 (on demand) and my screen off setting is 250/250 (on demand). Whenever I turn my screen on and it's been off for a little bit it's always at 250, even a minute later.What's more surprising is I'll go into the profiles, turn off the "screen off" profile, and it'll jump up to 1100. However, when I enable the profile, it goes back to 250, all while the screen is on.Any idea if this is something I can fix? I've tried making the "screen off" profile to 550/250 to shorten the gap but it didn't do anything.

My phone definitely didn't dial the number. On top of that, my phone didn't ring and the number isn't registered as a missed call. I can't see any reason why I would've gotten this voicemail.
