I need the Shapewriter Spanish apk as it is n o longer available on the market. I write a lot in both languages so it is essential that I get it so I can use Shapewriter efficiently.

So there is Locale for all other countries/languages where apps are available but I can't set Locale for Spain/Spanish?

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to change the sound that gets played when a Facebook update arrives in the Android notification dock? In Menu -> Settings -> Sound and Display -> Notification Sound the option is set to "subtle" which I really like. I have the volume for notifications set to be relatively low, so if I'm sleeping it doesn't wake me up because it's so low and it's such a short tone.
Last night however, I got some spam friend request on Facebook. Unfortunately it was like 1am and I woke up to hear some Spanish style/flamenco type music playing. After a few seconds I found out that it was my phone, and the Facebook app was notifying me of a new friend request.
Does anyone know how to change this sound? I don't see any option in the Sound and Display menu, and I also tried going into the Accounts & sync menu but I don't see anything in there either except whether or not the phone syncs with Facebook and how often. There is no setting for notification sound.
This is really odd -- it seems like a new friend request is the only Facebook notification that even arrives in the notification bar...maybe other stuff arrives too but I just haven't received them yet? In any case, there must be an option somewhere to change or disable this music.
Anyone else experienced what I'm talking about? Do you know how to change it? I really don't want to wake up even more during the night than I already do. My son already keeps me up enough at night...
Except, of course, for one small detail.I'm bilingual,and a lover of Latina women (more info than you needed to know, I know!), so I am constantly switching back and forth between sending texts in English and in Spanish.Is there a way for my phone to recognize words in both English and Spanish?As it stands now, I'm having a hell of a time sending Spanish texts because it keeps suggesting words in English.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOk, so here's an odd one. Prior to my upgrade to 2.1 on my Droid I had this same issue. When my alarm goes off, the snooze/dismiss buttons are in spanish. As you can probably tell by now, I'm not writing in Spanish - so, that's not how it's supposed to be Nothing else in my phone does this.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm using Swype now, but it is kind of frustrating me with its inconsistency adding words to the user dictionary. I also hate having to slide my finger off the keyboard to capitalize a letter and the fact that it doesn't auto-capitalize with new sentences. I used ShapeWriter previously, but I always had problems typing symbols with it, and the large number of proper nouns that came with its user dictionary really annoyed me. I have yet to try SlideIT.

1) Is the language add on just a different keyboard layout or does it actually recognize the German words?
2) I found and downloaded com.shapewriter.android.imlanguage.german.apk but I cannot seem to install it. I get a Parse Error when I try to install using an app installed from the SD card... since it is an add on to another app do I need to install it is a different way?
3) If this file is not correct for my version, does anyone have the file or can you tell me where to download it?
I recently had my phone stolen and i got my replacement today. today just happens to be the day shapewriter was taken off of the market!! I'm screwed is there any way to get this back.. like can someone upload it for download?

I had shapewriter on my old phone and I loved it. Now that I'm back to the standard keyboard its killing me. Since shapewriter is now off the market I can't redownload the app. Is there any way to get shapewriter off my old phone onto the new one? Or is there anyone that has another suggestion? Any help would be appreciated.

I have installed Swype beta and Shapewriter. After installing, form the home screen I press menu, settings, language & keyboard and click either swype or shape-writer.However, when I use an application like G mail, or the web browser, the droid default keyboard is displayed rather the swype or shape-writer,Any suggestions on where I need to adjust settings so that the default keyboard is either swype or shape-writer?I have used swype in the past and it worked great, unitil the beta expired. I just downloaded the new beta from the swype.com site. Just can't make it the default though.

Bt last night I downloaded shapewriter which does both just as easily as the 2 seperate apps (I found tap typing annoying on swype) shapewriter doesn't pick up words as easily as swype @ first bt after messing around with it for a couple of hours it became a lot easier. Point of this thread? Shapewriter is worth checking out, let me know what you think! Also, if you know of any other free keyboards worth checking out let me know.
View 36 Replies View RelatedI made some Icons just for fun so I thought I'd share them. Plenty of different Androids in different colors and then you'll find plenty of random things. Also theres one called invisible, I like to keep my main screen as clean and simple as possible. So I used the invisible .png image to create an icon for gmail and texting, the 2 things I use the most. On my main screen I only have a search bar and the two invisible icons, everything else is on other pages. But anyways the invisible one is in there if anyone wants to use it. Use better cut or something like that to use these.
I'm using Nextheme.
