Game loft recently (kind of) released ten (not counting Asphalt 5) high caliber games onto Android, ported form the iPhone versions. These game must be bought from Gameloft's website, where there are no free trials and no refunds. At first, some of the games weren't working right on certain phones. However, I messaged them about this, and they said they have fixed all of the games for all phones. I have been able to get nine of ten to work on my HTC Incredible (more on that later). Since there are no trials, and no refunds, I have decided to review all of the games to help future consumers out. While these versions are iPhone ports, they are still different and have their own sets of features (and glitches), so iPhone specific reviews won't do. These are all played on my Incredible, but I can confirm all (nine not eight) work on my dad's Droid too. Each game costs $5. Click on the games' names to go to the information and download pages.I want to make sure to fully play through a game before reviewing it. I will post reviews as I finish games. These aren't going to be super in depth reviews--just what you need to know. Note: I treat 5/10 as average, not 7/10 like most reviewers. However, these games are of such high quality, you are going to think I am treating 7/10 as average.

For reasosns I can't figure out, some of the high end GL games aren't available for the Desire, even though it's a high end phone.I'm thinking of Modern Combat Sandstorm, NOVA, Assasins Creed.I know some people with the Desire have these, and I'd LOVE to know how they got them, as I cant even get ones acquired from less savoury sources to work.The way I see it, is they're all Android games, so if I was to purchase one for the Galexy S, would it still work on the Desire? Or is there something in the coding that makes them phone specific?

I've been working on a new kind of math puzzle game only for Android. Try it out and tell me what you think! NumNom (Free!) - Android app on AppBrain. The game is all about making sets of numbers that add up to "the target" (changes depending on the game # -- like freecell). I suck at any kind of graphic design, so sorry there are no "magical sparkly's"! I still think the game is really fun, and most of my friends (who are cool enough to use Android) seem to love it.Let me know what you think! I have been developing an Android game in the evenings for the past 6 weeks or so. It has finally got to the point where I am happy putting it on the market.. It would be great to get some downloads and feedback! The game is similar to match-3 style games with a hint of pacman and tetris There are now two game modes in the game, 'classic' and 'drop'. In the first your aim is to stop the timer going down by popping and eating fish. In drop, fish fall from the top and you must keep eating to stop the screen from filling! I just released Word Warz yesterday on the android market. Still looking for some valuable feedback! Tell me what your think about my first application.
Game Description:
Word Warz is a competitive spelling game. In the game players take turns adding letters to a board to spell a word. However, you don't want to be the last person to spell the word, because you will be out of the round. The strategy in the game centers around picking the letters at critical points that will force other players to spell a word. Also, a player can bluff by adding a letters that don't spell a word, and risk being called out by the next player. If a player calls a bluff, and the previous player was bluffing they are removed from the round. If the previous player wasn't bluffing the player that called the bluff is removed from the round. The last man standing during each round receives a point. The first player to 7 points wins the game.
Right now the game supports four offline human players, and 3 different computer players. The demo supports 2 players(either 2 human players or a human player versus chubs(the easy computer player)

I was excited about trying out the demos for two Gameloft Games on my EVO that look to have amazing graphics, Dungeon Hunter and HawX but stopped before install due to what I perceive to be sketchy permission requirements.I am very leary about giving a game some of these permissions and would like to hear some opinions. Why would it be necessary for a game to "edit SMS or MMS, read SMS or MMS, receive SMS", "send SMS messages" or "change my network connectivity" and "change wi-fi state"?

I got Samsung Galaxy 5.
I got some gameloft games (HD versions) installed but as I Run them only Top left (approx 1/4)view of game screen appers.
As whole game can not to fitted on one screen..

I was wondering if anyone was running any Gameloft games on their X? I downloaded Let's Golf and it works on the X fine, except there is no sound.I reinstalled twice and nothing. The sound worked once the first time I installed it in the intro, and then it stopped. Next time I reinstalled it, nothing, no sound. Media volume is up all the way and everything. Anyone have a problem like this?Or anyone have success with other Gameloft games on their X? Besides the sound issue, the game is very fun, and very smooth on the X.

own the Droid X, and also an iPod Touch, and I recently found out that some of my favorite iPod games, such as Hero of Sparta, Sandstorm: Modern Combat, and N.O.V.A. are available for android phones as well, but after many searches in the Android Market, I could not find these? Are they just in the process of being ported over? And I see other people talking about how awesome the games run on Their Droid X.
