What would y'all recommend? I see tons of them on AppBrain, but it doesn't seem that any of them do both things, and the few that do have ridiculous time limits o the records like 2-4 minutes.

Voice playback is basically shot. It plays back completely broken up and muffled with mostly static and crackling. It's to the point that it has to be broken, it's so bad, you can't even make a single word out. I have tried every which way of speaking into it and it is not a poor quality issue, I believe it is just not functioning properly. Phone calls and music playback are excellent and voice recognition is fine but voice playback is broken. I am wondering if it's the SD card since that is where it saves.

I recorded some stuff with me on the drums on the native Voice Recorder App. 1 I can't find the file on my SD card, and 2 If I email it to myself it is in the format .amr which i don't recognize.3. Is there a better voice recorder? Better quality, different format files, editing, or easier to export?

I've searched high and low, but I can't seem to find a voice recorder app with BOTH these features.
1) The app must have a home screen widget that allows me to start and stop recording without launching the app itself.
2) The app should let me dictate into a long single dictation every time I click record, rather than creating a separate voice file each time. The closest app I've found is voice recorder, but it insists on making each recording a separate file, rather than just appending a new recording to the end of the old one. Anyone know of a good app that can do these things?

I have searched these forums and can't find this answer. If I am missing it, please let me know and I apologize.I am trying to get some files I recorded on my Eris using the stock Voice Recorder app that came with the phone. When I look at the list of Voice Recorder files on the phone, at the top of the list, it says a file path:/sdcard/.voicerecorder/voices However, when I plug in the phone and mount the SD Card on my macbook running OSX 10.5, that path does not appear. Can anyone help please? I'd really like to get these files off the card.

I am using the default voice recorder. Is it possible to configure that app so, from now on, it will automatically name new files "HelloWorld###" instead of the default file name "AUD###"?

Does the Eris have a voice recorder or do you need to download an app? I'd like to be able to record class lectures if possible but if it does have a recorder is it limited to short memos?

I tried searching for this answer but didn't find quite what I was looking for. I have a file that I recorded with Voice Recorder app. It is saved as a .AMR file. I'd like to use this as a ringtone and send it to my wife to use on her PRE as a ringtone as well. I assume that I have to get it to a more usable format, like .MP3. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this?

I just got a new g1 today and was reinstalling my apps. I noticed the video recorder app is no longer on the market. I was able to find the voice client (sound for the video) but not the actual video recorder. Does anyone know why it was pulled by google or does anyone know the dev's site/or have it where I can just download it?

We are a new company that is focused on Android development. We have completed and uploaded our Fusion Recorder application into the Android Market. We've worked hard to make sure that it is a reliable product and that it contains a solid set of features for version one (v.1). We are currently working on the designs for our our Website, facebook, and Twitter pages since posting our application. We look forward to adding features as we move forward.
We are interested in feedback from users and want to make sure our product(s) are as defect free as possible. So, if you do run into an issue, big or small, please shoot us an email at our support email.
Here are a some screen shots that show off the Fusion Recorder User Interface.
Also, if you don't see a feature you like please email that to us so we can add it to our Feature Request database. It may not be the next week we add it (we take testing seriously, which takes time). But we definitely will review such requests, which we understand are valuable.
Also, we were able to test this on a few Android Smartphones, but we are looking forward to seeing if there are any issues on phones we have not tested on. So, if you run into an issue please include, at the least, the Android Smartphone manufacturer, product name, Android OS version number (e.g. Android 2.2).

Does anyone know of an app to record phone calls? If not, I'm going to look into building one. I'd really like to just record all of my phone calls to have copies of them if I ever need to refer back to them.

I have a girlfriend abroad who's on Live Messenger and Skype. I've got a WiFi router and a HTC Desire (Android 2.2). I'd like to use my phone to somehow be able to talk to her for free, just like we're doing it when we're both on our computers, either through WiFi or through mobile broadband, it doesn't matter much. I've browsed through other threads and found the following apps mentioned:
*Nimbuzz: Seems to change you for calling.
*MSN Talk: All I can do is send text messages(?).
*Sipdroid: Seems to want some kind of account info that neither me nor my girlfriend has.
*Google Talk (built in): All I can do is send text messages(?).
Have I missed something? Is there another app I should be using? I could ask my girlfriend to install another app other than Live Messenger & Skype if needed, as long as it's easy to use.

Was having the exact problem described in this link trying to get my Google Voice account setup with the Google Voice App on my Incredible. Been trying, failing, and searching for days. Stumbled on this today and it fixed me right up. Android Google voice app will not verify phone (used to work on previous Android phone) - Google Voice Help
The answer from from "mbligh" is: "I fixed this. I think it's Google's "interesting" login management, where though you have one email address, it can be multiple accounts on the backend. If you're foo@bar.com and it asks you which account you want to use and that's one of the options, pick "other address" and type foo@bar.com again and your password. Now it works. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but still."

I bought Milestone about 4 month ago. I am looking for a call record application for both incoming and outgoing calls bus so far I haven't found a working one. I tried total recall and phone recorder - didn't work. I know google voice have option to record incoming but not outgoing calls. I heard somewhere that Milestone have this option disabled by hardware anyone knows if this is true? Anyway if anyone can recommended a tested working record app (pay or free I dont care at this point).

I live in Indiana so one person is needs to know. I only need an app that will run on the Droid X now. I have reported it to the FCC, and they said to get a recording of the call and as much information as possible.
It's E Business Group (602) and the are calling for Anthony which is the wrong number, but as soon as I even start to ask to be taken off their list they say "Sorry for bothering you" and hang up so quick I can't even get the words out.

I just got my Epic a few hours ago, and my girlfriend noticed that there seems to be no stock Voice Recorder application. Unfortunately thats something that very important because she records her nursing lectures. Am I missing it, or is there not one there. Also, if it is missing one, is there one in the market that works well, and that will work on the Epic?

I have finally figured out why I don't always get a notification for new mails on my HTC Hero.
I have setup an Exchange account for the build in mail application that comes with the phone, and I want it to give me a notification when I receive a new e-mail.
This will however only happen if the mail ends up in the Inbox folder in my Exchange account.
I do not get any notification if I have a rule that moves the mail automatically to a sub folder in the Inbox.
I like to sort my mails using a folder for each sender and I use the rules in Outlook to do this automatically, but this prevents the notification feature in the HTC Hero mail application from working.
I can still refresh a folder in the phone mail program and download all received mails, but no notifications and I have to do this manually.
It seems to me that the Inbox folder is only folder to be updated automatically by the ActiveSync connection.
I have my Data Syncronization settings set to As Items Arrive.
So do any of you out there know how to get the mail program to download all new mails as they arrive and give a notification on the phone, not matter what folder the mail ends up in on the Echange server?

I have a meeting coming up at work next week that I think is in my best interests to record. Going through the Market I saw that some of the audio recorders are buggy, especially with the Droid. Can anyone recommend a stable, decent audio recorder that I can use? Also, before anyone asks, I am from a state where only one party needs to consent to recording, so there are no legal issues here. To be honest, I plan on asking everyone there if they mind if I record it anyway. Should any of them say no, I still won't have any problems recording it.
