Aug 3, 2010What would y'all recommend? I see tons of them on AppBrain, but it doesn't seem that any of them do both things, and the few that do have ridiculous time limits o the records like 2-4 minutes.

Jun 7, 2010Voice playback is basically shot. It plays back completely broken up and muffled with mostly static and crackling. It's to the point that it has to be broken, it's so bad, you can't even make a single word out. I have tried every which way of speaking into it and it is not a poor quality issue, I believe it is just not functioning properly. Phone calls and music playback are excellent and voice recognition is fine but voice playback is broken. I am wondering if it's the SD card since that is where it saves.

If I am missing it, please let me know and I apologize.I am trying to get some files I recorded on my Eris using the stock Voice Recorder app that came with the phone. When I look at the list of Voice Recorder files on the phone, at the top of the list, it says a file path:/sdcard/.voicerecorder/voices However, when I plug in the phone and mount the SD Card on my macbook running OSX 10.5, that path does not appear. Can anyone help please? I'd really like to get these files off the card.

Jul 29, 2010I've searched high and low, but I can't seem to find a voice recorder app with BOTH these features.
1) The app must have a home screen widget that allows me to start and stop recording without launching the app itself.
2) The app should let me dictate into a long single dictation every time I click record, rather than creating a separate voice file each time. The closest app I've found is voice recorder, but it insists on making each recording a separate file, rather than just appending a new recording to the end of the old one. Anyone know of a good app that can do these things?

Nov 6, 2010We are a new company that is focused on Android development. We have completed and uploaded our Fusion Recorder application into the Android Market. We've worked hard to make sure that it is a reliable product and that it contains a solid set of features for version one (v.1). We are currently working on the designs for our our Website, facebook, and Twitter pages since posting our application. We look forward to adding features as we move forward.
We are interested in feedback from users and want to make sure our product(s) are as defect free as possible. So, if you do run into an issue, big or small, please shoot us an email at our support email.
Here are a some screen shots that show off the Fusion Recorder User Interface.
Also, if you don't see a feature you like please email that to us so we can add it to our Feature Request database. It may not be the next week we add it (we take testing seriously, which takes time). But we definitely will review such requests, which we understand are valuable.
Also, we were able to test this on a few Android Smartphones, but we are looking forward to seeing if there are any issues on phones we have not tested on. So, if you run into an issue please include, at the least, the Android Smartphone manufacturer, product name, Android OS version number (e.g. Android 2.2).

Jan 29, 2010This is probably pretty basic, but the only way I see that I can activate voice dial from the N1 is to touch the micophone button (top right on the home screen). The problem I'm having is the button is too small. When I'm driving, I have to concentrate too hard to find the little micophone button in the top right corner to activate voice dial. I realize I can create a shortcut with direct dial, but don't want too many buttons clogging up my home screen.
Surely there is any easier way to activate voice dial. Anyone know?

Aug 8, 2012Ive been looking everywhere for about a week now and searches tend to only display info about google voice OR tethering not google voice specific to tethering which is my issue.
I have a Nexus 7 with PDANet Tablet and Google Voice and I have my (cheap) smartphone with PDANet and FoxFi
I can pair my phone and tablet up just fine and do a bluetooth tether with no issues I use it with Spotify while in the car daily. Other apps and Chrome work fine I can do pretty much whatever using the tether.
But when I try to send a txt with GV from the tablet it just says Queued and never ever sends.

Jan 22, 2010I am just curious if we know this or not. I would like an invite, but it seems like the invites are inconsistent in terms of the turnaround time from the initial request. I have read recently how some have gotten an invite the next day and other have waited two weeks or longer. That said, could the N1 be delaying the invites? The Google Voice YouTube channel promotes the fact that the N1 comes with GV pre-installed. Does anyone know if this also includes an invite? Jan 23, 2012Either by ROM, App, or Rooting/Otherwise, is there a way to make the lock button have multiple functions on my Galaxy Nexus? My goal is to be able to use Voice Actions from a locked phone (like in the car, for example).I noticed some posts on editing hardware buttons, but that was neither for the Galaxy Nexus nor for a lock button.
Ideally, 2 quick clicks would pull up Voice Actions from a locked phone.I guess if I could permanently have Voice Actions in the notifications section, I could drag down from a locked phone and accomplish the same thing. I use slide to unlock, so dragging down on notifications bar is still available.
I have not rooted yet but would do so just for this functionality (I'm now a corporate tool so I try to hack as little as possible these days)...
