I'm looking for a stock app or widget that handles contact communication similar to HTC Sense. merging facebook, sms, email, etc. Does anyone know of anything in the app store?

If anyone knows of a good email widget similar to the stock sense one. I currently am using helixlauncher, and this is the one item I truly miss about sense.

Every app I have found to sync facebook profiles only does the pictures.Is there an app that will sync birthdays to the calendar and pictures to my contacts, and allow me to choose which syncs where? I have some friends with Facebook names that I do NOT want to be as my phone contacts.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work for my Mom with her new HTC Desire HD. She likes Sense overall and wants to keep it, but she saw my EVO 3D running MIUI and absolutely loved the calendar app, with the different settings and the overall feel of it.
Is there any app that I could install on her HTC Desire HD (not rooted, S-ON) that would do this? (One of the most important features is the ability to set custom ringtones for appointments in the calendar)
Is it possible to get the black status bar similar to the Sense UI bar without rooting the phone? I don't want to root my phone b/c I love everything else but I want that status bar really bad. Any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock.The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.

I have been googling for a couple days now searching for a sortable list widget similar to the one provided by stock android music app. What I would like is ability to sort a list similar to how you can sort your music playlist. I am coming to the conclusion that I am obviously not using the proper keyword to find my answer.

The trouble is, I don't really want that as my lockscreen (besides which, it doesn't seem to truly lock the screen). But how to change the preferences after putting widget in place? I can't find a way how to for instance change a widget icon or behavior. Do I have to remove it and place again?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI went to send a text message today to a friend named Jamie and when I scrolled through my contacts and click on Jamie I see two numbers. One is for Jamie and the other is for James. The problem is only Jamie shows up in my contact list. Luckily, I had my old phone and I was able to see which number belonged to who. I tried deleting both contacts and re-adding but the same thing happened. Can anybody else confirm this or is there some setting that I am unaware of (ie. group similar names)? Not a huge deal just curious.

Sometimes I also notice that my email account will disappear on the widget, and It will ask to choose another default email account again for the widget.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wrote a widget that can call numbers directly with one click. It works on the emulator, and it used to work on my nexus one when it had Android 2.1. Now I got the update, and the widget stopped working. I am using Intent.ACTION_CALL, and android.permission.CALL_PHONE. If I change to Intent.ACTION_DIAL it works, and the same code works from an activity. It is the combination of an app widget and the call action. I don't see any error. Does anyone know if it is not possible, and if so, how? Are there many cases the emulator is different than the cell phones, concerning the permission aspects?
The numbers are all regular, not 911 or something.
I just am not into the look of the default clock, but can not find anywhere to change it. Is this possible or do I need another app?

I need a widget on my htc wildfire, one that looks like the People Widget but only for the Phonebook contacts and not FB or other social networks. I have tried so many but none are good enough.
Any suggestions? Or is there any way to make the People Widget display the phonebook contacts only?
all my contacts are google contacts with several linked to Facebook accounts.When I access my contacts through the People widget, all's good, I only see the google contacts (I've deselected Facebookers in the view menu). However when I access the Messages widget all my contacts are doubled up for some reason. I realise this list is also showing facebook contacts as well as google contacts but even the non-facebook contacts are doubled up.
