I understand the maintenance window is long past, but the Upload Upgrade linky button just disappears when I click it for all my apps. I can upload assets without problem e.g. the new 512x512 icon.

As of November 24 some of my apps are not visible in my developer console.Does anyone have any idea why? they have all been there every other day.

A:I am doing something wrong or closing the apps that I run wrong,
B: there is some maintenance involved with these phones? Maybe not defragging, but the same ideas...do they get cluttered and slow? Should there be so much available space on your internal sd? etc etc... or
C: The phone is built to handle what I can throw at it...or maybe even a "D:" i don't even know about?
For some reason I can't seem to install the recent maintenance update. I've been notified three times, but each time I try to install it either hangs at the rebooting screen (before shutdown, not during) or says your phone will reboot, but doesn't and the screen just goes away.

A - Is it possible to upgrade to the official 2.2 firmware on a Rooted device
B - If not, can a rooted phone be derouted and then upgraded via FOTA

What's the best way to back up Android phones prior to a complete wipe / re-install of new OS? (back up of sms, apps, data for apps, call log, etc etc...) Early this year it was My Backup, and Astro File manager I believe. Is there something newer or better these days?

Prior to funds being transfered I can "Cancel entire order." After funds have been transfered I can "Refund Some Money." In either, or both, of these scenarios does the customer retain ownership of the app so they can still receive all future updates?

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust manually upgraded to the 2.1 OTA from stock 1.5. Did a factory reset prior to upgrade. Everything seems to be working fine except that I get this error message when trying to install any app:
Installation error: Insufficient storage available
When I check the phone storage settings I see this:
SD Card: 7.39GB total space - 7.27GB available space
Internal phone storage: 136MB
Also, I'm noticing that the "Format SD Card" option is greyed out.
There are some apps which I don't want to upgrade. Shazaam comes to mind since it is now a paid service.
Others I don't want to upgrade because the current app works for me and the "upgrade" introduces problems.
Is it possible to turn off the upgrade notification for some but not all apps? I don't want to accidentally include an app when I am upgrading others.
I have the 1.5 right now as i didnt see any reason to update as my phone has left me happy. But i consider it now and want to know will i loose my apps if i update say i have shapewriter and its no longer avalible on the market and i update will i not be able to get it back.

Raging Thunder game Theres a pt.2 but aso not available. More icons paid Latest swype. to name a few. is there anyone else that has this prob? I emailed an app dev, about this issue and he replied "for some reason your phone doesnt allow you to list copy protected apps after updating." then suggested i contact market/google support. i went to the link and no email. just a link to FAQ. Maybe this supposed 2.1 official from htc leak isnt the %100 complete version. If so oh well, there would be a rom updated for that one as well if thats the case. I am pretty satisfied w/ the currrent build. I think its great.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I want to upgrade my Droid from the older 2.0.1 build of Pete's Bugless Beast ROM (1.2) to the newer ESE53 based 0.8 version. What I want to know is how to keep all of my data and apps and stuff when I make the upgrade, because according to his instructions you have to use his nandroid backup to go from the older 1.2 BB to the new 0.8 BB. I tried following his instructions once before, and while I was able to successfully upgrade to the newer ROM, I lost all of my apps and data and ended up just restoring from one of my own nandroid backups back to 1.2.

But the problem is that I have removed a lot of bloatware on my phone like Game Hub, Music Hub but also the stock-clock (and more) with Titanium Backup. But will that cause a conflict with Jelly Bean when JB is being installed? The system is missing files and apps, and then JB is installed on top of that. Sounds like a setup for problems to me. Tried JB with uninstalled stock-apps on their old ICS?

I can find them in the market, but when I try to use my phone to download, it can not find them. Note: I used Astro to back up most of my apps on the phone, these couldn't be backed up since they were marked private. And they didn't display in my downloads either after the upgrade. Until I updatee my firmware everything was working fine
After the firmware upgrade I am experiencing the following issues:
At the beginning when I conmect to my wifi everything works fine for the first 5 min, all apps work flawlessly, then suddenly my phone only uploads date (up arrow only) but no down arrow n then my apps such as whatsapp, fb messenger, etc do not recieve any data until I goto those apps and stay in there for about a min. Then I get all my whatsapp messages sent about a min ago . But my browser seems fine..and the speed there is good.
Can I run an Android app through the emulator and make it print strings to my computer's console? By console I mean the standard place you would expect to see a System.out.println() in a normal java application. So if you ran the java application from the command prompt then you will see the println()s in the command prompt or if you ran the program in eclipse you will see it in the Console tab at the bottom.

Is there a way to make LogCat's output to appear in Console view in Eclipse? LogCat view is much less convenient that Console, because it's hard to see long messages in it (they are trimmed by column border) and there are no clickable highlighting in exception stack traces to quickly navigate to source of error. Just to make clear - I'd like to have clickable stacktraces, like the ones in normal Eclipse console so I can quickly navigate to the source of error.

I would like to run the test as a Java console app under Eclipse. The only Google maps class that I require is a GeoPoint. I've included the maps.jar in the build path and imported the com.google.android.maps.GeoPoint so it compiles OK but generates a runtime error of: "The JAR of this class file belongs to container 'Google APIs[Android2.1 - update1]' which does not allow modifications to source attachments on its entries".
Is it possible to use this jar in a console app, and if so how?
