Got my phone and and never realized there were no LED notification lights lol. did some surfing and found NoLED in the market but low and behold I cant seem to get it to work. Anyone else try it or find another app?

If I missed a call or text while my Dare's screen was blank, all I needed to do was tap on it to wake it up and see who the call or text was from while the phone was still locked. On my Dinc, I have to press the top button to wake it up. Is there a way to change the settings so I can go back to just tapping the screen to wake it up?
Call me crazy, but that's just one of a few things that are making me miss my Dare! Don't get me wrong, I love my Dinc, but when you've been used to certain shortcuts for a few years, it's hard to change.
I downloaded free battery widget on the market.It shows my battery is 65%, but stock battery indicator (blue bar) looks like more than 87~90% or so.Is this only my phone or stock UI battery indicator is wrong?

I often keep my phone on silent so I don't always notice texts. My old phone had the LED light to notify me, and before that I had an iPhone which would flash the display with a notice about the missed text/call.
I'm aware of NoLED, but I tried it and wasn't a fan, the icons are annoying. Plus it seems like it would take up battery.
I work alot in an area that has very spotty reception, or none at all. My problem is that my wife mainly, or ppl will call or text me and i will not recieve ANY notification of a missed call or text. Usually with my old phone "samsung eternity" i would recieve a missed call or text later once my phone got reception again. Any one else having this problem and also any fixes? My only idea is my task killer might be messing up with it. But i've ignored anything that has to do with text or calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI came across this in the marketplace. It basically lights up your screen on and off when you have a missed call or text. You have to option to set the frequency your screen flashes to notify you (every 5, 10 seconds, etc) and for how long this goes on (1 hour, 2 hours, etc) Gonna try it out. Not sure if it's a battery drainer or not, just trying it out myself.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNoticed yesterday that on the homescreen when the phone was locked that a missed call and voicemail notification appeared as pieces removed from a jigsaw overlay of the background homescreen image. Hadn't seen that before. Is that a default thing or can I change it (did look rather cool though). I usually use the pattern lock rather than the default swipe lock, so I'm wondering if it's to do with that default setting.

I know it lights up and makes a sound when a new message comes, but afterwards there is no way to find out without pressing the middle button or the side unlock button.
I am so used to having a blinking LED message indicator in my previous nokia, I think it�s a really nice feature, because you can know just by looking at the phone without even touching it, very handy at night or when your phone is out of reach. I�m really going to miss that feature.
my Droid X is doing something completely unacceptable.It misses calls.There's no ring, no missed call indicator, just suddenly a voicemail indicator pops up to tell me that someone left a voice message.Sometimes it only happens once, and will receive the next call without a problem.Sometimes it'll do it three or four calls in a row.I've already talked to Verizon about it, and they've gone through the script. Before I call to yell at them until they replace the phone with one that works, I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with the problem.

The screen doesnt light up and no options for receiving calls. This happened before I installed Google voice. I disabled Google voice and still no joy. Everything else works. View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone have this problem where when they are on a call the screen locks and you can't hang up the call until you unlock the screen or the other end hangs up? Is there a setting to not lock the screen when on a call. This is driving me nuts to always have to unlock the screen just to get to hangup the phone. From what I can tell I think it happens only when I make the call. But if a call comes in when the screen is locked it allows me to hang up after the call. I check most of the settings and i don't see any options for that...

My wife's phone needs to be returned because of continuous dropped calls. I did root her phone, but that's about. Will doing a factory reset be fine or do I have to un-root before returning? Also, does anyone know if doing a factory reset would improve the reception? Seems VZW hasn't been able to resolve the issue.

I seem to receive text messages without problems but sending text messages does not get to certain people. One colleague at work who is on ATT can send me a text but does not receive mine in return. View 8 Replies View RelatedOn a Samsung Fascinate (not sure if that is relevant) does anyone know how to make pictures that come in to a text message just show up in the message. I got my first incoming text on this phone with a picture attached. I saw the message and a "play" button. Push the button, goes to a screen 1/2 which just has the text itself (which I have already read at this point in the original bubble), then sits for a few seconds, then finally goes to screen 2/2, pulls up the picture, with no text. If I go back to the original message, the play button is still there and I have to go through it all over again. Any setting/apps anyone knows of to just have the picture come up automatically as part of the text.
I am coming from a Palm Pre and the photo would just be sitting there when I opened the message.
Is there anyway to change the notification of missed calls, so it shows up on the home screen similar to how new messages, SMS or voice mails show up. The little notification Icon at the top of the screen in the status bar is way to small and gets lost among all the other notifications. Not looking for something that blinks or changes the color of my LED.

If I miss a call, or get a voicemail, the screen will turn on as usual but then it won't sleep until I either press the power button or unlock the phone. The screen will stay on indefinitely (on the lock pattern screen). This only started happening after I updated to 2.2. So now if I'm away from my phone and get a call, the battery will be almost completely drained by the time I get back to it (sometimes up to 4 hours later). This might also be happening if I get a calender notification too...anyone know what's going on?
