I did a hard reset of the phone earlier today. Now, when setting up the exchange account, it works fine and brings in emails but only up to the time when I reset the phone. Any email past 7:15 does not show up. Forcing a refresh comes up with a message saying that it is not able to connect to exchange.

I succeeded in setting up exchange email on my nexus one.The things that bothers me a bit is that I can only select to sync emails from the last week/month/etc.In some cases I want to look at an old email to perform my work.It's great how with IMAP email you can scroll down and just press a button to read more emails. Is there anything similar for exchange? Or at least some workaround?

Anyone else have this issue as of today? I am just trying to figure out if its my phone or something on googles end.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Incredible running 2.1 when it was first released, setup my Exchange ActiveSync account, and noticed that my only option under Mail Size Limit is to download Headers Only. This got annoying very quickly, as I have to click 'Get Remaining' on every single email, regardless of the size. I researched this issue when the phone first came out and came up with nothing on it, and two other guys at work with the Droid Eris on 1.5 don't have this issue, they get the full range of size options to download.
Fast forward to today, one of the guys with the Eris installed the update to Android 2.1, and now he has the exact same problem I do. When I saw his issue, I started to research it again now that a month or so has passed, but I still can't seem to find any documentation or reports of similar issues.
Anybody else see this behavior with 2.1 + Exchange? I can't see it being a problem server-side since it works under 1.5, but my phone can download the whole message if I setup a regular POP account.
I'm putting together a lightweight email provider for use with one of my apps (based on the K9 mail client). I'd love to test it with an Exchange account before releasing it.I'm hoping that some kind sole out there will be able to hook me up with an Exchange account that I can use for testing.

Due to random restarts, I had to do a hard reset, and now I keep getting "Failed to create the account. Please try again later." This has been happening for the past few days since I did the hard reset.
When I initially set it up, I just put in my work email and password and had no problems. Now, I've tried every configuration possible in both normal and manual setup. Anyone got any other ideas?
I've just got my Nexus one, (no VAT bill) and am trying to set up my exchange sync with it. I know that IT at work have made changes to allow Android phones as they did it when the Motorola droid appeared, but whenever i try to connect i get "Username or Password incorrect".They are setup correctly and i have logged into OWA on the phone just to make sure its ok.Has anyone else had this? if so how did you resolve it?

How do I create additional folders? Also, how do I get all my emails in my inbox to display?? I am only seeing the recent emails, or the ones that were just received. I need to be able to see the emails from earlier today, yesterday, last week, etc..... How do I do this? Can emails be stored to the card? Can we change the text setting from an html format to just a standard text format? Where can I find a the complete instructions on the email app?
Been reading hotmail is now available to be setup as an exchange account. I've been readying have successfully been able to setup their droid phones this way but heard EVO users were having difficulties. I was not able to sync with the hotmail exchange account and wanted to see if any other Evo users have been successful.

I previous had email working fine on my Droid Eris with the 2.1 OTA. However today after updating my password, the Exchange ActiveSync account will not work on my phone. It gets past the authentication phase, however it seems to have issues saving the account on my phone.After some research, I have found documented cases of simlar issues on other hardware but not the Eris. Is anyone else having this issue, and what changed? Ive had it working on 2.1 OTA, but it will not work now.In my research I came across the following site, is it legit? I have proxy access into my boss' Exchange account, and need to be able to carry his calendar with me. Do NOT want the two Exchange calendars to be merged.
I know that I can keep my Gmail account separate from the corporate account, so that part's great. The complication is being able to sync the two separate Exchange calendars, and the fact that I have proxy access granted to my boss' account rather than the actual login.
In the past, the unwieldy solution was to have to manually duplicate every calendar entry from my boss' Exchange calendar in my own Exchange calendar. I'm hoping there's a way around having to do this... also, when my boss adds/deletes on his calendar I want to be able to have that info update for me, which obviously doesn't happen with my manual workaround.
I have an issue with email application on my Samsung SII (with ICS). When I tried to add exchange account it was added with "null" (no charackters) account name and no it is impossible to open email app.
I tried to deleted this account - without success (I see it only when I used code: *#*#36245#*#*" but it is impossible to deleted this no-name account this way).
Is it possible to fix this issue without Android reinstallation?
I am having an issue with my HTC Evo 3D where I am unable to have more than one active Exchange Activesync (EAS) account syncing. I'm trying to have my work e-mail and my hotmail account with push using EAS. What I have tried:
- Setting up my work e-mail, then my hotmail. Can receive work e-mails instantly, but not with hotmail.
- Setting up my hotmail, then my work e-mail. Can receive hotmail e-mails instantly, but not with my work e-mail.
- Setting up my work e-mail in one mail client, and my hotmail in a separate client. Same issues as above, one receiving push e-mail and the other not.
If I set up one and then the other in the default HTC mail client, the first one will work with push the but second one won't. BUT, if I then do a manual sync to make the second one "catch up", that second one will start receiving with push but the first one no longer does. I can keep doing this, and it seems like only one can be "active" at a time.
I've tried different clients with the same results, and tried Touchdown which many people recommend, but Touchdown is built to allow only one active profile at a time (so only one EAS account pushing or polling).
I'm beginning to think it's a device limitation on the Evo 3D but it would be great to get around that - I've seen bits and pieces around saying that, due to licencing, iPhones can have up to 5 EAS accounts at a time, and different Android phones can have varying numbers, but haven't seen anything particularly clear or definitive.
I left the company where I've worked for 7 years. I have all my personal contacts synced to my former company's Exchange account. That account has since been locked, but my Galaxy SIII still retains all the contacts.
How do I move these Exchange account contacts to a specific contact list in Gmail (or another account)? When I try to do a backup of the phone, I can't find any backup program that lets me backup just my Exchange contacts.. instead. it tries to backup the 3,000 gmail "other" contacts as well, which is just a huge mess and what I don't want to retain or backup. I just want the Exchange contacts backed up.
i also have the contacts synced on my ipad, so if u know of an IOS way to do this, I can do it on there.
I wanted to set up my hero to get my mail from work and calender ect. We use outlook. The question I have is whats the difference between active exchange sync and just setting up outlook like you would set up yahoo, gmail ect... Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just never had to use exchange before so im very unfamiliar with it. What I have been doing is just syncing my phone via usb with my home outlook.

If I delete from the device it sometimes does not remove them from my outlook and viceversa. Has anyone else got this phone connected to an exchange 2003 server SP2 ? Also has anyone managed to get any other folders to sync other than the inbox ?

I can receive emails to the phone with no problems; the setup was simple and the messages sync'd to the phone quickly. I can't send, reply, or forward messages. The messages stay in the outbox. View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my Incredible on April 29th and setup my Exchange email account and was able to send and receive with no problems. Contacts and calendar synced with no problems. Everything was fine for about a week then I noticed I was no longer receiving emails. I could send with no problems and contacts and calendar still synced ok, I just could not get emails using wither WiFi or Verizon's network. I went into the account settings and activesync settings and see an error message that said "error occurred on the computer running the exchange server". Deleting and recreating the account on the Incredible seems to work, but for only about 7-10 days then right back in the same boat. I do not think the phone is the issue as I had a Droid and had the almost identical problem.
On the Droid I did not see the error message but I would stop receiving emails after about a week. I have tried Touchdown and it's almost the same issue, except that the error is something along the lines of "mail queued on the server". Again, removing and reinstalling the account in Touchdown resolves the issue for about another week. I called our corp help desk folks and it was a wasted phone call. All I got from them was we don't support mobile devices via activesync and wouldn't talk about it anymore, so I am leaning toward something on our mail server causing the issue. My only problem with that answer is that we also have other users here with iPhones and Windows mobile devices and they are not having any problems, and they are also connected via activesync.
