I have had the Hero for a while now and love it but hate 2.1 (LAG ). I'm now rooted, and am back in love with my Hero. I came from a jailbroken iPhone and I use to have an app called iPodMovie.info. It let you stream and download tv shows, and movies, even before they were released. My question is, is there an app similar to this for Android or the Hero?

I recently ripped and downloaded a DVD to my hero. However, the video plays fine, but the audio doesn't seem to be working. The volume in the "media player" is turned up all the way.Any ideas on why the audio isn't working?

I like this player but I have a question about its use. How do you stop a movie that is playing? It is easy to pause a movie but I don't know how to stop it other than using a task manager and killing it.

I did some searches and this issue has been brought up as long ago as Feb 2009 on google's help page with a response from a google employee that the issue is known and being looked into.
Here's the issue: Whether you key an all day event into your google calendar via the web or onto your phone, the issue is the same. When you pull up the calendar via the monthly grid, you'll see the triangles on the days with events. If you click on a day that has an all day event (I'm not sure if this only affects 1 day events or multiple days) you'll drill down into the daily view and see the event at the top of the screen. So far, so good. The problem arises when you select the event. Under event details, the date of the event will be the day before it's actually entered into your calendar (i.e. a event for Fri 10/23 will show as Thu 10/22). If you hit menu and edit, the event edit screen now shows the correct date! The calendar widget will also show the event a day early.
For me, it doesn't matter if it's my calendar, my wife's shared calendar, google's pre-made calendars like moon phases or holidays, or whether the event was keyed into the phone or via the web interface. how many all day events I and my wife have keyed on our separate google calendars and while I want to see my current and upcoming events on my home screen with the calendar widget, this is just really irritating.
Whenever I type in google.com in my web browser (stock or dolphin) it takes me to the french version of google. I do not know why it does this. I have my default locale set up correctly in the settings. Any ideas what I'm missing?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have it set up update hourly, and it will show it to be sunny, even until 8PM sometimes 9PM.It's not exactly sunny at that time of day, I'd more expect to see the moon by that time of evening.Is this just weird, or is it just using the "official" sunset time of 8 something and calling it sunny until then? I'm a very new Hero user.I'm within my 30 days, and very tempted to take my Hero back and get a Evo, but, don't want to spend the extra $$ for the Evo, and don't need the extra monthly expense either!

View 8 Replies View RelatedIn a nut shell, when the app is loaded, it will play a short movie (maybe a few seconds at most @ 12-24fps). I will then have 2 buttons displayed on the screen, and depending on what button is pressed, it I will play another short movie (5-10 seconds). While waiting for the user to make a decision, the movie will be looping.
The movie source is stop-motion photography so it's already chopped up into frames. My question here is if I should use a Frame Animation technique, or if I should use a Movie player for this. All in all perhaps there's less than 100 still frames that make up the stop-motion. I was going to go the Frame Animation route, but I wasn't sure if having so many individual frames would kill the app so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any insight.
Is there a movie player that will play the movie in full screen capacity instead of wide screen or only a small part of the screen?

Then I downloaded the free version of Robo Defense over the weekend. I decided to buy the full version this morning. After I clicked through the legalese and all that it gave me the usual "check your notification bar for download progress", but it hasn't done anything for 15 minutes or so. No download progress or anything, and the app isn't installed. Does it normally take a while to start the download of a paid app (or your first paid app)?

After resetting my apps won't download. They just stay in 'starting download'...hanging. Any ideas?
Everything else is fine as far as I can tell....Oh other than my keyboard sometimes produces an abnormal sound when hitting a key. Call me picky but it's starting to get on my nerves. That's something that did not go away with the reset.

When I tried to download it nothing happened, and its been saying Installing for a long time now. I would really like to use this but it looks like its not going to work, and since its not installed yet I can't uninstall it and try again.
