Sprint HTC Hero :: Download Of Paid App Or First?

About a week ago I set up my Google Checkout account. I didn't have a specific app in mind at that point but I knew someday I would. Then I downloaded the free version of Robo Defense over the weekend. I decided to buy the full version this morning. After I clicked through the legalese and all that it gave me the usual "check your notification bar for download progress", but it hasn't done anything for 15 minutes or so. No download progress or anything, and the app isn't installed. Does it normally take a while to start the download of a paid app (or your first paid app)?

how do you download paid apps again. do they give you a key or something. and i need a good note keeper or a personal time management app. i just call the to do task manager but when i search that i get app killers.

Since flashing to a 2.* rom and back a few times i am now back on fresh 1.1 and I am trying to do a few updates and download new apps but everything hangs. It just says either authorizing credit card for paid or starting download for free apps. I have even let it go over night and it never finished.

I am having problems when i recieve a photo in a text message, sometimes it will auto download but then it stops after a couple of days and i just get a message saying download unsuccessful. I have taken it in and had the phone re set but i want to know if there is another way to fix this problem from happening i am tired of loosing every thing or not getting my pics.

When I download free apps it works just fine. But when I get paid apps, i get an e-mail thanking me for the purchase, but when I try to download, all i get is "authorizing purchase", it never downloads. I bought Shazam but it never downloaded, it's been a week now, and I went to places where I got 4G, I tried the Wi-fi, but nothing worked. I thought it was Shazam, so I bought a different, app like Shazam called SoundHound, but it still does the same problem. Is this a problem with my phone? should I go back to sprint and ask them about it? what's the best solution for this?

Is anyone having a lot of success with the market thus far? I'm seeing about 5% of the "downloads" when compared to my same app on the iTunes app store. I'm wondering if my listing is "poor" or if I'm doing something wrong. I've only had 11 downloads and 3 returns in the past 48 hrs (my app is $1.49)

I'm having difficulty downloading some paid apps. My credit card information should be correct because I just bought the paid version of ROM Manager. Then I realized that I can only download apps that have American currency. All others freeze in the authorization stage.

When I'm sent an attachment either thru the email or thru MMS I can't download it. Sometimes it seems like the attachment downloads with it comes thru MMS because it will say "Downloading" after touching the bubble but when it appears to be done, I can't find it anywhere. I'm using Handcent SMS and stock Email. Any help for this issue?

I reset my Hero last night after I went on a APP downloading spree and my Hero got very laggy. Think it may have been the Task manager apps.
After resetting my apps won't download. They just stay in 'starting download'...hanging. Any ideas?
Everything else is fine as far as I can tell....Oh other than my keyboard sometimes produces an abnormal sound when hitting a key. Call me picky but it's starting to get on my nerves. That's something that did not go away with the reset.

I saw that we had a new HTC widget available to download (called tasks, pretty much a checklist) and it actually sounded like it might be useful. When I tried to download it nothing happened, and its been saying Installing for a long time now. I would really like to use this but it looks like its not going to work, and since its not installed yet I can't uninstall it and try again.

I have a paid app and a free version and updated both yesterday. Now I get hundreds of reports that the paid version won't download/install, but there's no problem with the free version of the app. The message typically reported is "download unsuccessful". Some users uninstalled the app and then tried to download the app and are now left without a working copy. Of course, most assume this is a programming error by me and it affects my rating.

I have a paid app on the market. -I uploaded an upgrade -The market download manager hangs on 'Starting Download' when I try to download the newest version. Has anyone experienced this? (If the problem is resolved shortly, I'll post here.)

I purchased a couple of apps last week, and there wasn't enough on the prepaid debit card I use for online purchases. They said pending. Once the money was there, the status went to purchased, but when I try to download either I get "download failed." The apps are Droid X/2 Overclock and Droid X Recovery Bootstrap. I've tried clearing the market cache, applying the market fix in build.prop. No dice. The phone is rooted, overclocked, and has a slightly modified build.prop (this postdates the download issue).

Where do downloaded email attachments(documents, pdfs, etc..) get stored? My internal memory is at 70MB and if i recall correctly it was around 200+MB when i bought the phone. I put on apps, but not 130+MB worth, and my cache is clear. Any other ideas what might be eating up my internal storage?

What is the best task killer to download?
I downloaded one called "Advanced Task Killer Free" - and it has tabs for like services, apps, system, etc... but I don't know which ones I shouldn't end.
My main concern is the extreme lag on my phone! It's so laggy... I just bought this june 1st and am thinking of returning it and getting the evo because I know that phone is a beast. I hate texting on this because it takes so long to get into the texting screen.

I'm trying to play videos from a site, its a MP4 and when I click on it loads but then I get an a message of "Cannot play video, Sorry, this video cannot be played." The video also gives me the option to play it as a WMV, when I download the WMV version it wont play. All it does is play the audio, the actual video won't play. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to download an app, if so what app?
