So the icon for Doggcatcher is now com.snoggdoggler. Its shows up everywhere as com.snoggdoggler. Has this happened to anyone else? If I uninstall it and re download it will I have to pay again?

I came from a jailbroken iPhone and I use to have an app called iPodMovie.info. It let you stream and download tv shows, and movies, even before they were released. My question is, is there an app similar to this for Android or the Hero?

I did some searches and this issue has been brought up as long ago as Feb 2009 on google's help page with a response from a google employee that the issue is known and being looked into.
Here's the issue: Whether you key an all day event into your google calendar via the web or onto your phone, the issue is the same. When you pull up the calendar via the monthly grid, you'll see the triangles on the days with events. If you click on a day that has an all day event (I'm not sure if this only affects 1 day events or multiple days) you'll drill down into the daily view and see the event at the top of the screen. So far, so good. The problem arises when you select the event. Under event details, the date of the event will be the day before it's actually entered into your calendar (i.e. a event for Fri 10/23 will show as Thu 10/22). If you hit menu and edit, the event edit screen now shows the correct date! The calendar widget will also show the event a day early.
For me, it doesn't matter if it's my calendar, my wife's shared calendar, google's pre-made calendars like moon phases or holidays, or whether the event was keyed into the phone or via the web interface. how many all day events I and my wife have keyed on our separate google calendars and while I want to see my current and upcoming events on my home screen with the calendar widget, this is just really irritating.
Whenever I type in google.com in my web browser (stock or dolphin) it takes me to the french version of google. I do not know why it does this. I have my default locale set up correctly in the settings. Any ideas what I'm missing?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have it set up update hourly, and it will show it to be sunny, even until 8PM sometimes 9PM.It's not exactly sunny at that time of day, I'd more expect to see the moon by that time of evening.Is this just weird, or is it just using the "official" sunset time of 8 something and calling it sunny until then? I'm a very new Hero user.I'm within my 30 days, and very tempted to take my Hero back and get a Evo, but, don't want to spend the extra $$ for the Evo, and don't need the extra monthly expense either!

I'm trying to figure out if something is interfering with my wireless router, and if so what it is. I've got "WiFi analyzer", but that doesn't show anything other than wireless signals directly from routers, even though a cordless phone runs on the same basic frequency.
In other words, I'd like to find an app that shows what frequencies are present near my phone, including what my phone is putting out. Is that possible?
I love my podcast shows like from Cnet ( 404, BOL, Atlas Android, Pregame,etc) and Revision3 ( appjudgment, tekzilla, the dig real, etc..), but right now I have been using Podkast, because it's free, it's good but I notice that shows take to update or refresh new content. So I can go ahead and download them before I leave to work. I love the fact, that I can download them in the background, but I would have to choose to do so, one by one manually and then let it download. I would like for them to download on the background as soon new contents from my favorites are available. I hear Doggcatcher is good, but anybody who has it, can you give some feedback of it, and what features are worth paying for $6.

I'm starting this post to be a place to capture DoggCatcher-specific requests for enhancement of the app. (DoggCatcher does have their own online forum, but I'm starting this thread for those Android users who don't want to maintain an online account and id/password to a forum for each app downloaded onto our Android device.) What I am looking for is an app that can subscribe to my podcasts, download them automatically as new episodes become available (or notify me if one is available to stream), delete them when listened to (if downloaded and not streamed) and remember my playback position if I have to do something else for a bit. Which app is better for these things?
Also, does either have a feature where it will only download the latest episodes when in WiFi range only, to save on bandwidth usage? And, is there an option on either to press a single button to have it go see if there are any new episodes of my subscribed podcasts (like the "refresh" in iTunes)?
All you need to do is get the YouTube channel url and use Subscribe YouTube podcast channel RSS feed as MP4, FLV or PSP video feed, convert YouTube channel into FLV RSS feed, subscribe to YouTube in iTunes, subscribe to YouTube feed in your favorite podcast application. Watch YouTube feed offline, extract f to get a Doggcatcher url that's compatible. For format, select MP4 (iTunes). I then email myself the URLs and copy and paste into Doggcatcher.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two sources of audio: the music player and Doggcatcher for podcasts. Whenever I listen to a track in the music player and then stop listening, it remembers and keeps it "ready". Then I go and listen to a podcast and, again, the last thing played remains ready to play at any point. So, here is the problem. When I go to listen to music, I can get into the music player and hit play, no problem. But, the first time I use the inline remote to pause and then play, that "play" command turns on the podcast player as well and BOTH start playing, music and podcast.
Oddly, when I am just in Doggcatcher and play a podcast, the inline remote will not automatically start the music player. Is there a way to make sure Doggcatcher will not start when I want to listen to the music player? I suppose I could load up Google Listen and see what would happen with that program instead.
Is there a programme which shows memory usage by application?

1. (and most annoying)- Black screen on incoming calls. Phone just freezes on black screen and I just cant answer the phone or do anything else for that matter. Just have to remove the back cover and battery.
2. lot less free memory after the update. using taskkiller but still- even after killing all non-system processes i have about 30MBs less memory
3. google maps, footprints, people, peep, stocks, gmail and some others keep opening by themselves, though ive killed the apps with appkiller.
4. so-many-mentioned lag on making calls. also. every-now-and-then while on call it makes another call to the same person and puts active one on hold...
5. does not recocnise some contacts and just shows their numbers when on in or outgoing call.
I've done several reeboots and also some hard resets on the device but still no use.Seriously concidering switching over to rooted ROM...
after installing 2.2 on my hero, everything was working fine, until now. im having problems with my text messages, they wont send under sprints network, if i put it in roaming then they send right away, but roaming has awefully slow (1x) network speeds, but if i put it back to the 3g network speeds of sprint then everytime i try to send a text it just swirls in circles (the little thing next to the message) and wont send. is this sprints network being down? or does this have to do with the 2.2 update?i dont think its sprint because my mom and sister arent having any problems with there phones from the same plan. but i tryed restarting many times, taking out and leaving out the battery, putting it in airplane mode and turning that back off to reset connection, iv tryed everything and cant get it to work, so idk what to do, and i dont understand why if it was a software problem with the 2.2 installation, why would they send in roaming but not on sprints network?

If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

I recently rooted my phone and was wondering how to install custom themes and lock screens for my hero. I am new to this as the title implies, so a link/instructions on how to install/create these would be what I'm looking for. I also am looking for solutions that do not need to install a new ROM as I just want to mod the current one that I have since i haven't found one I like.
