View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter i installed 2.2 on my desire sometimes the call beep (the one beeping when you wait for the other dude to answer) keeps on beeping even after the other person answers and even after the call ends and we both hang up. The beep continues till i turn off the phone and restart it again. One of my friends have this problem as well so i assume there are others out there with the same problem.
Anyone got a solution to this problem?
Can any one tell me how can i hangup/terminate call programmatically? With the help of intent.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new to Android. I would like to create an application that will hang up an outgoing call after it has been ringing for several seconds.
Based on what I have read in the discussions so far, we can abort a call that has just been initiated by using setResultData(null) on the BroadcastReceiver. This just means we can effectively censor calls only. Not exactly what I am trying to achieve.
If the ability to abort a call after it has started ringing is not supported by the SDK, what other means is there for me to achieve this? Are there any internal functions that I can use?
I want to answer a phone call. I found the intent android.intent.action.ANSWER but it seems that the only effect that I obtain is an ActivityNotFoundException. Why? Is it a deprecated intent? How can I achieve answer? I have also heard about the "telnet technique". What is that?

Vringo and other apps does answer the phone by pressing a button on their app, so there must be a way to do it.
Anyone has a suggestion?
When someone calls my Google Voice #, I answer the phone, then I get a prompt saying "call from .......press 1 to accept". Is there a setting to just have it answer when I press "accept" on my Inc screen?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is an option to setup "auto answer" (like if my phone is connected to my car via bluetooth) for incoming calls. My old phone (LG Dare) had an option to auto-answer the call after the second call, not sure if there's an option for this (I tried looking under advanced bluetooth settings).
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn the galaxy s. Wondering if there was a way to get the phone to auto answer when and only when the headset that come with the phone are plugged in? i.e. with head set plugged in auto answer
no headset plugged in just act as normal. Hopefully I am just missing something obvious as I can see the option to enable auto answer but this seems to be regardless of weather or not there is a headset plugged in. If this is not possible is there a a way to shortcut the enable and disabling of auto answer rather than having to go through all the menus?
My manager has just bought himself a new Xperia X10 and he has setup the bluetooth connection, however when its paired to the laptop and a call comes in the laptop automatically answers the phone for him, so he has to switch the bluetooth off on his laptop until he needs it. Is there an option either on the laptop (Win XP SP3) or on the phone to stop this happening, the only features he really needs are file transfer and to use it as a modem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAll incoming phone calls are being automatically answered. I went to Settings>Language and Input; however, I don't see the Voice CMD for Apps option. I also want to note that this is not voice activated answering - it is just auto answering. I am not using a headset and the option for auto answering with a headset is off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, the slide to answer / decline "feature" on my EVO is driving me crazy. I keep the phone in my pocket. When I go to answer it, it will generally auto answer or auto decline a phone a call. Is there a replacement screen for this? I'm rooted, so I could go with a different ROM if needs be? Or a mod or something? I've seen other people talk about it - but with no resolution.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend has an HTC Eris and here lately she's been having an issue answering phone calls. This doesn't happen every time but does happen a lot - she'll get a call and will press answer on the phones screen and she then hears nothing. The person that's calling her doesn't hear her picking up, in fact with the tests we've done with my phone and a friends phone is that on the callers end it just keeps ringing as if she never picked up.
She picks up she hears nothing, the caller on the other hand just hears the phone keep ringing. Any idea's what's causing this? She's not running any custom ROMs, in fact it's a stock phone up til about 2 days ago when I did root the phone - however she had this problem prior to that as well.
I got my phone back late oct, and i use it unrooted, all the time, I can make calls very simply. with minor lag here and there. But anytime my phone is asleep, and i try to answer any incoming call, either Google voice or direct, I can't slide the screen to answer. and none of the buttons do anything and the call goes missed.
it's really annoying. my wife has the same phone and hers eloquently answers calls. after a few moments, the display changes to show the call is missed. and i can operate the phone again - usually with the dismay of having to call the person back, at the same time while they are leaving voicemail - NOT being able to answer the phone when it rings is really kinda a critical problem for me. Anyone familiar with this issue, and would like to take a stab at helping me fix it. I'm willing to wipe and restore to defaults just to make it work right.
Swiping the screen to unlock and to answer calls makes this phone a two hander- which is annoying. Sure in the car with handsfree no problem but even walking having to use both hands is irritating. Is there an alternative?
View 16 Replies View RelatedSo I just called Verizon, my original Eris was returned because I couldn't answer calls before they went to voicemail, and now I have the silent speaker bug, I can't hear anyone on through the speaker and they can't hear me on the other side. Has anyone had luck with the replacements? Maybe I'm just getting bad ones.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there another way to answer calls when phone is locked other than dragging the unlock bar? It's getting harder and harder to answer calls because the it seems the vibrate lags the unlock bar. My phone?? Or is this something that can be fixed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I've noticed that I accidentally answer phone calls without realizing it while the phone is in my pocket.Callers then hear the rustling of my phone rubbing the inside of my pocket.I've read that when the Droid X's screen is off, I should have to slide to answer a phone call. However, even when my screen is off and the slide to unlock and pin number lock are active,I am still presented with two buttons when I get an incoming call. This happens regardless of whether people call my regular phone number or my Google Voice number.I have LauncherPro installed.Am I missing something?I'd like to have the slide to answer feature so I don't unknowingly answer phone calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have several issues with Sprint. Dropped calls mainly, sometimes 4-6 times during one conversation. My main irritation right now is that if I'm in the text screen or any messaging screen for that matter and I get a call my phone screen goes black and I can't answer it. It won't even let me silence the ringer.I love all of the things that this phone does, the whole android deal is awesome but lately I am seriously missing my blackberry. Will rooting help ANY of these issues or is that a waste of time?I have already watched the tutorials and written down the steps, just such a noob I'm scared. I will try it if it will help any of these issues though.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid and it has worked perfect answering calls, until now. I just installed LauncherPro and now when I receive incoming calls I can no longer slide and answer calls. No matter what I do, the screen will do nothing other than show incoming calls and the slider, but the slider will not slide.
Is there anyway to answer phone calls (other than auto answer) without using the slider?
