Sprint HTC Hero :: Time Stamp Missing From Call Log

Yesterday I had a missed called. I wanted to check at what time this person had called me. When I clicked on the phone icon that's at the bottom of the screen it opens all my call history (incoming, outgoing and missed calls).
But it doesn't not list anytime stamp for any type of call. I click on the menu button and click on call history. I click on the menu button again and click on the View option. Then I select Missed calls. The time stamps just show the day. For example some of them say 3 days ago or Yesterday but no time.
The only way i'm able to see the actual time of the missed call is if I open that person contact card and view the history from there.
Is there a way I can get this information with out having to open up the contacts?

I wanted to know if you guys knew how to get my weather app back under my time. It seems that only my time shows now and the weather is gone.

Here are the issues I am having:
1. Can't lock screen while in a call. Red button just hangs up the call.
2. Apps cannot be installed to sd card. Internal Phone Storage after a device wipe shows about 136MB free. I downloaded about 5 or 6 apps and the phone ran out of room. I deleted the apps, but the space was not reclaimed. This is why I had to reset the device. Now I am afraid to install apps without filling it up again.
3. Bluetooth does no always connect back to my headset. sometime I have to turn on/off bluetooth on phone. Sometimes I have to reboot phone. One time I installed Pandora and bluetooth would not work until I figured out that removing Pandora would fix it.
4. Camera is no good.
5. WIFI cannot connect to an N router running in mixed mode (a,b,g,n). You must "dumb" down the router to b,g mode in order to connect the phone. This means hat other users who have no issues with N have to suffer the reduced speed of b,g.
6. No way to "EXIT" an app to reclaim RAM.
7. KB not as accurate as the iphone.
8. I have disabled HTC Sense and it is still slow. For example, often when I load favorites, nothing displays for about 3-4 seconds. This is not acceptable.
Overall, not a very tested or mature OS. I feel like I should not be starting from scratch like this. The folks at Android are guilty of using the consumer as a guinea pig. This is not acceptable. We are not reinventing the wheel, so why are obvious features missing?

Anyway to have a time stamp on every message? I miss being able to tell when I sent the message that says I'll be 20 minutes. and well its just nice to know in general.

I'm looking for an app that lets me quickly insert the time and date in notes - Evernote, Docs to Go etc. I've tried Inserty but that was too cumbersome. Just want something I can tap on and hey presto, current time & date is entered. Any suggestions?

Having just switch from BlackBerry, one of the things I am missing is text shortcuts. With BlackBerry there were several pre-programmed phrases that could be entered by typing a couple of letters. For example "ld" would enter the date in the specified long date format. The user could add to the dictionary just about anything they wanted.
Any Android app that will do the same thing?

I've tried googling up some ideas, but they are all related to scheduling tasks, which is not what I want.

I am getting MMS (Pictures) from another Sprint user (both of us are on the east coast) who has a Touch Pro 2 running Windows 6.5 and every time I get an MMS message from him its back stamped 4 hours. So if he sends it at 8pm it gets time stamped at 4pm on my phone. When he sends me an SMS (text message) its is CORRECTLY time stamped at 8pm. This causes my threaded messaging to put his MMS all the way up in the thread. This is UNACCEPTABLE and either SPRINT or HTC should figure out what is going on with time stamps and there phone and software.

The time stamp for received messages when using Handcent, is off by 4 hours. I've tried changing the "set time stamp offset" to -4 hours but it did not help.

Anyone else having this issue? My fiancee and I are on the same plan and when we text each other, many times, the time stamp is off by one hour. It puts the conversation all over the place and makes it very difficult to follow. I does not happen with my friends with Verizon when we text each other.

I just got a Nexus 5 and spent the whole of the afternoon trying to migrate my photos and videos from my GNex to the 5. I managed to move everything over, but here is where things went wrong
The metadata displays the time of the file transfer, instead of the original time/date the photo was taken. I'm OCD and a stickler for getting my files in order, so having all my pics/vids in the Gallery app display in the wrong order is really bugging me.
Initially I used My Backup Pro to move the files over, then deleted everything and transferred them from GNex -> Macbook -> Nexus 5 via Android File Transfer. Files were transferred fine, but the time/date stamp is still wrong.

I've had two HTC hero's on T-Mobile, and on my old one I used to be able to check the time I made or received a call on the 'call history' display. I had that phone stolen and got a replacement that is identical but running newer software, I think. All is great, except for the fact that it no longer displays the time a call was made or received in the history. I see this as a very important feature to have on a phone, so how can I get it to work properly? At present it just says the date - no time.

Soince the 2.1 upgrade on my Orange Hero I get not only an anonymous empty text message which I can't get rid of but also every time I get a misssed call, the Notification can't be permanently deleted. Every time my phone is switched off and back on they re-appear. I now have 6 missed calls shown when I switch back on.

I have been missing many calls from my Hero more than any other Sprint phone I owned, has anyone experienced this issue? not even a ring, full bars of signal strength and goes to voicemail at times, not all the time but my wife says it happens a lot when she tries to contact me, any suggestions folks? I read some stuff about the Slot Index would this solve my issue? or would I be best to root my phone since I am still stock?

I want to use speech to text which I thought was going to be in this update. I installed Better Keyboard and Swipe keyboard. I enabled both in the settings (they are checked), but when I click the options button on the keyboard and try to select a keyboard, I only get the 3 standard options (QWERTY, Phone, Compact QWERTY). Any ideas why?

I have done the latest firmware update and for some reason I can not find the App called Calorie Counter. This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? I don't understand how it could just not show up anymore in the market. If anyone has it, could they possibly back up the app to there SD card and send me the .apk file so I can install it? Would that work?

I completed a root last night (after a ton of help from the board - thanks again!) my only thing is i am missing navigation. any idea how to restore this? i attempted to follow flips tutorial for adding missing apps, but had no success. any ideas? is there an easy way to do this? via command prompt?

I had Shooter Lite (a free ballistics app) on stock Hero. Then I wiped and flashed Fresh. Now that app won't show up in the market for me.I know I read something about apps not showing up if the ROM is not "signed" by Google, or something. But the zip from Fresh 2.1.2 ends with "_signed_release". So what do you do to get missing apps to show up?

I am trying to ascertain if the missing apps problem is a phone problem or a network issue. Anyone here running stock Hero 1.5 able to download Weatherbug Elite, Camera Zoom FX or tapatalk? I was told by our network that when we get 2.1 they will appear, but if I remember right there were folks here running stock Hero 1.5 on Sprint who had them.

Has anyone's email notification stopped working? The envelope that usually appears in the notification bar doesn't show anymore, but when I look at my mail shortcut on the homescreen, it shows the green circle with the number of new emails. Did I accidentally change something or do you think it's a bug?
