I have handscent at its great,but how do I stop the stock sms from popping up along with the handscent? Sorry, I just cant find out how by myself. Also I am not getting pics half the time in either format.

Handcent worked fine before i updated to 2.1 but ever since then i cant get the default sms to stop popping up when i get new messages. I have already unchecked every setting in the default app. Is there another setting i am forgetting to mess with??

View 6 Replies View RelatedI switched from the default SMS to handscent SMS recently and I like everything but one little thing. When I get a text, two notifications appear in the top left corner. Once I answer the text, the handscent notification goes away, but the other mail notification will stay until I get another text message or clear all notifications. Is there a setting I have to change to only get one notification? Does this have anything to do with the fact that I had the popup message setting turned on so that every time I got a text a window popped up on my phone allowing me to answer the text much quicker than actually opening up Handscent messaging. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I just uninstalled it because of this reason, but if I can fix it, I would love to reinstall it and use it again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA few days ago the GPS notification icon started popping up at the top of my screen at random without me even running an app that requires GPS. I have tried to kill any app that potentially uses GPS with taskiller, disabling GPS all-together, and rebooting my phone to get it to go away. The only temporary solution I have found is to enter and then exit google maps. That works for a little while but then, bam, out of nowhere the little satellite icon appears again. I don't mind if it is just a little glitch and my GPS isn't actually being accessed, but if it is, that is a serious hit to my battery life. I haven't noticed a dramatic change in battery life since it started happening but I do seem to get less time out of the phone. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is it a big deal and how do you fix it?

Just wanted to know if I can freeze the app "HTC Lock Screen 1.00" If I should expect some force closes or the phone will explode. and if it by any chance brings back the stock lock screen. If not if it will run right away after defrosting.
I do know about widgetlocker, tried it didnt like and I dont wanna have a bigger app or service running for just locking.
Does anyone else want the stock (white) nofication bar on the Sprint Hero? If any one has it on their please share how to get it. I think because its a HTC phone it is made with the black bar, but is their anyway to extract the APK from any other android phone if such a file exists and just install it on the Hero, I really prefer the white one.

Every time I receive a call when I hang up my phone automatically starts the music player and just starts playing songs. It's extremely annoying. I even deleted all my music off the phone hoping this would stop it, and now it just plays ring tones. I've used an app killer, etc. and it still does it.
