It was working before. I took off sense UI, and and have recently put it back on. Now it's not working?

I have a CDMA Hero and when ever I type in landscape, the on screen keyboard is really laggy. The portrait keyboard is fine. I use handcent sms and I've tried to turn off sound and vibration still no luck. I've tried to use the default messaging app and its the same...any solutions?
I've tried use the stock HTC keyboard and better keyboard with no luck, both still lag while in landscape mode.
I have rooted the phone and flashed Fresh 2.0d.
When typing a text message in landscape mode, is there any way to send the text by hitting the enter button? I know on the Moment I was able to hit the enter button and it sent the text. With the Hero I have to hit the actual keyboard button to get back to the thread and hit send...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was typing on my keyboard (landscape view) and noticed that the "Y" key didn't work. I though it was nothing, until I tried to exit out of my navigation app, but the exit button wouldn't work. So i downloaded a draw app to see it maybe it was just my screen, and what do you know, i was able to draw swiping up and down holding the phone upright. But when trying it side to side, a whole panel doesn't work. wth? Tried to reboot and nothing. Anyone else have this issue? Looks like its back to sprint this evo goes. Peep the pics.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I go through the following sequence then tap "Search Text" the keyboard will not display - is something broken?
1. Start in Portrait
2. Tap Browser
3. Tap Google Search
4. Input text
5. Tap desired Website
6. Rotate Hero to Landscape
7. Tap Menu
8. Tap More
9. Tap Find on Page
10. Tap "search text" - nothing happens!
The above works if I stay in Portrait and if I do not rotate to landscape until after step 9.
I tried it and it works so far.

Verbage:
Keyboard Manager allows you to customize what keyboard (input method) appear on input based on your phone orientation.
It displays the keyboards you have enabled on your android device, and let you select one per orientation (landscape/portrait).
As your phone switch orientation, the app automatically switch the keyboard.
Requirements:
- Rooted android device (app was tested on Samsung captivate 2.1)
- Root Explorer app, or similar app that allows you to edit the permissions of a file.
To install:
1- Download the app (KeyboardManager.apk) on your device sdcard.
2- Using Root Explorer, move the apk file to /system/app
3- Using Root Explorer, edit the file permissions like below:
-- User: 'Read/Write' checked
--Group: 'Read' checked
--Others: 'Read' checked
4- Exit Root Explorer
The app should be visible in your launcher as 'Keyboard Manager'

- Added option to disable notification icon

Bugs:
-On certain applications (i.e: Messaging on Samsung Captivate), the input window occasionally freeze on orientation switch. Exiting the app, and resuming should fix it.
The app is still in development.
I would've been happy as a passive forum user and keeping up with other's posts but my Hero has recently developed a problem, prompting me to sign up and get some advice from you guys who have more experience.
Basically in the last couple of days my soft keyboard has randomly decided to change how it displays and works! 3 main problems:
- sometimes soft keyboard does not go into landscape mode when phone is orientated (seen suggestions on here of calibrating keyboard and installing bubble and running the bubble clibration: tried both of these but has not solved problem).
- when phone does decide to let me in landscape mode no text is displayed as you type....only when you switch back to portrait do you see what you have typed
- when in text message mode the predictive text box has moved and is now being overlayed on the text message body, so basically i cannot see what i am typing! (the predictive text box used to be displayed above the text message body). This problem is the most annoying out of the two!
I really like it but i dont know if there is one for cm6 on our heros.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just received my Xperia mini and I'd like to change the keyboard to "landscape keyboard". The user manual says that I have to change the settings to auto rotate for the keypad to function in landscape. I've done this but I still don't have it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI searched for this but couldn't find a solution. Is there anyway to get the home screen and subsequent side screens to go into landscape mode? I've seen some other Android Phones/Tablets doing this and would like to be able to do so. Or does anyone know if this will be an option in the 2.1 update? I heard that the Droid used to do this, and then some update messed it up, but then saw it going into landscape mode on the video they posted today of the Droid running 2.1.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to portrait to landscape it will stay on portrait then after I mean like 20 mins or so when I go to use it, it will go to landscape and portrait. Then after another while it will stay on portrait and not go to landscape. I've tried everything and tried to find a solution for this but don't seem to find one. I just got the phone on saturday and been playing with for awhile to get the feel of it.

They activated the phones for us and than told us that it should only be 30 minutes before our phones were on but could take up to 24 hours. its been about 15-16 hours and was wondering if it takes everyone this long?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI dunno if I was the only one who thought this way, but the kb on the hero that we used before we got an its from Sprint (that fixed msg app) worked fantastically. I remember literally doing my HW online with that kb. Was just wondering if devs ever considered using that kb with 2.1 builds. I'm sure our kb's can be better than what it is (laggy).

I didn't have anything to do with this, and I didn't find this link, I just posted it from my old thread about the overclock widget (thanks to whoever found this). I figured that people who don't check xda regularly (like myself) might want a heads up, so here you go.
I have had a strange issue for the past couple days. Sometimes when I type on the keyboard, no text is entered into the text box, but I see the letters "pop up". I have tried to change orientation, and exit the app and no luck. The only thing that really works is to reset the phone. i have even tried to use Better Keyboard and it does it too.
View 19 Replies View RelatedWhen I rooted to 2.1 I had a microphone by the gear. I also notice a microphone on the Evo. I was having issues with Gmail and switched to the official RUU and now have no microphone icon. That is an amazing feature! So how do I get it back? Diff keyboard or a feature I am missing? It looks like I cannot root anymore (for a while at least). Anyways just having the microphone icon would suffice I don't have to root per se.
