Sprint HTC Hero :: Updated LP But Still Getting Force Closes (CM6)
Sep 26, 2010Anyone noticing a ridiculous amount of force closes on LP+ while running CM6? I originally was on the newest "stable" build, go ta lot of FCs, so updated to the 9/25, still getting the FC's. Then went back to the stable one, updated LP in the market, and still getting the FC's.

Nov 22, 2009First off, love this phone! Before the 1.56 update, battery life sucked, but awake time was around 20-39%. After update, battery life is noticeably better, but awake time is never under 100%. I did a factory reset and it went down to 85%, but is back up to 100%. So, should I just ignore the awake issue since battery life has improved or should I take it back for a new hand set? I can go about 8 hours with moderate use and its about 70-80% battery life.

May 18, 2010a little background info, rooted my first hero no problem using fresh kitchen, but ended up bricking my phone. got my new hero today from sprint, came home connected it up to 2 different computers to try and root it but in both cases both htc sync and kitchen dont see my phone, but i can run the tests in kitchen and see my sd card if i mount it.my build number is 1.56.651.2 cl85027 release-key and it says my hardware version is 002 if that helps.

Apr 24, 2010Ever since I flashed to this ROM, I haven't been able to sync none of my contacts through the People app even though it says "all contacts synced" within Accounts & Sync. When I try to match a contact with their facebook account, "no matches" show and I don't even have a list of who I can choose.
Does this have something to do with the PRL not being 60663? Mines says 60662. I've tried every solution that was said in the forums. Delete then restart then readd the account. Still nothing.
Should I just reflash? I don't want to but my contacts look so boring without their pictures and statuses

Oct 16, 2009Is seems like only contacts I have saved in my Google contacts are being linked. I thought The Hero would sync all information from my Facebook contacts. So even if I have not saved them I would be able to access their information on my phone, similarly to Palm's Synergy. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it works?

Oct 13, 2009I have setup my gmail properly(gmail app), but for some reason it does not want to fetch my mail or if it does it does 20 mins later or so. Anyone else having this problem and i have hard reset and checked all settings for data sync. I have not seen this problem so i am thinking it a software problem. I just want to know if anyone has setup using gmail and is getting mail pushed to them right away. Also i know its not push mail but it suppose to come kinda close.

I have Windows 7 64Bit and have downloaded and installed the latest sync as well as drivers and followed all the instructions I could find and it shows up in devices just fine but still just shows me as disconnected on HTCSync and in the sync settings on the phone. This is getting very annoying.

Apr 26, 2010Since yesterday, I can't sync Gmail, I cant actually download from the market (although I can initiate), and I cant open Google Talk (it opens for a split second then closes, no force quit or error messages at all).I have searched for a solution all morning.I have tried going to google and google storage in applications and clearing cache/data to no help.I even went back to a nandroid from 2 weeks ago, no help there either.The only thing I have done is accidently change my password online from a PC.I changed it back 5 minutes later to the original (which is the one the phone uses).I am using Fresh 2.0D.PS yes I wiped when I went back to an old nandroid backup...Yes my sync settings are correct.

Jun 11, 2010I've been trying to get my Hero to sync and update to 2.1 on 3 different computers. For some reason it won't sync with Windows XP or Vista. I've used the newest version of Sync every time I've tried to update it. Could it possibly be because I'm not using the official USB cable that came with the phone? I'm just using a regular mini USB.

May 20, 2010Ready to do the update this morning, have already downloaded HTC Sync in the past but never used it. I download the 2.1 update and I'm preparing to Sync my contacts...can't do it. i'm not very computer savvy but here is what i've gathered: for some reason the driver for the phone is missing something. i've uninstalled and reinstalled Sync several times, still nothing. when i hook my phone up i get the little circle arrow thingy in the notifications bar and when i drop that and click on HTC Sync it says its looking for HTC Sync on my pc. after a minute it says it can't find it and that i need to install it. i've turned off or on the usb debugging, nothing. i can't seem to find anything on the internet to download the driver and don't know what else to do.

Every time I get a text message, they are always not in sync, and it bothers me. For exampe, phone would vibrate, then 5 seconds later, notification sound goes off.

Oct 24, 2009anyone experience this within the last hour or so?I noticed that i had to sign back into my account on "Social Networking" in settings, but nothing is syncing back up. they are all still sync'd (if you go into a contact on the computer, there is a "note" in the "notes" section showing the link), but nothing is showing up. I'm guessing eventually it will download everything again and I just need to give it time, and I'm also sure it's a Facebook issue thing, since they just updated and tweaked their UI, but i was curious if anyone else noticed this.

The gmail and google calendar auto sync fine, but whenever I add a contact I always have to do a manual sync on the phone to get the contact from my pc to phone or vice versa.
