Pretty sure this is keeping my phone awake. I didn't do any long tests with it installed, but it appears like it won't go to sleep. The new app is pretty slick, but I won't use it if it keeps my phone awake.

I have a Sprint HTC Hero with the 2.1 update. as of now every single root procedure i have tried does not work. Even trying to undo the update has not worked.I really want to root.

Anyone noticing a ridiculous amount of force closes on LP+ while running CM6? I originally was on the newest "stable" build, go ta lot of FCs, so updated to the 9/25, still getting the FC's. Then went back to the stable one, updated LP in the market, and still getting the FC's.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst off, love this phone! Before the 1.56 update, battery life sucked, but awake time was around 20-39%. After update, battery life is noticeably better, but awake time is never under 100%. I did a factory reset and it went down to 85%, but is back up to 100%. So, should I just ignore the awake issue since battery life has improved or should I take it back for a new hand set? I can go about 8 hours with moderate use and its about 70-80% battery life.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my phone I have the Facebook app downloaded from the market. I also noticed that the phone comes bookmarked with Facebook.
So here is my question, under Menu>Settings>Social Network> Facebook appears there. I have that set to update every 12 hours.
HOWEVER, my actual Facebook App is set to update every 2 hours.
So... does the settings under Menu>Settings>Social Network>Facebook control my facebook app or just the bookmark that comes pre-installed on the phone?
I am trying to save battery life, and I noticed that the settings under Menu>Settings>Social Network>Facebook were set to update every hour, but I had the settings under the downloaded app to update every two hours. My goal is to have only one facebook medium updating so I don't drain battery life!
I just cleared all my browsing history, cache, form data and all that stuff. Then I went to my bookmarks, where I have the touch.facebook.com bookmarked. I type in my username and password and tap the "login" key. I see the green status bar at the bottom of the screen start to go, but the page just loops. It does not login. Just keeps refreshing... if that makes sense. What am I doing wrong ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI turned my phone on right around 7AM this morning with 100% battery. Got the notice that an update was available for the Facebook app, installed that and did nothing else with my phone. Screen off and in my pocket.
Got to work, next time I turned my screen on around 8:15 I saw that my battery was already at 81%! Checked status and my up time and awake time were the same.
Only change I made was the Facebook app, so went to my accounts and synch settings. There were two FB listings in there, one normal and one for Sense. The Sense one had options to change synch, the plain FB didn't have any options to change.
Deleted Facebook and everything is working fine now, phones going to sleep when it should. So looks like something is messed up with the Facebook app newest update.
I hear that there was an update for facebook yesterday? so what is the latest version? is it still 1.1.2? the reason i ask is because im wondering if there is a way i can get facebook notifications to appear on my droids notification bar? I want to know if i need to download the other facebook clients like blabber or not. I saw something on Droudforums.net about checking a box for android for facebook under notification settings on the facebook main page, but that didnt help me at all.!

View 19 Replies View RelatedEver since I flashed to this ROM, I haven't been able to sync none of my contacts through the People app even though it says "all contacts synced" within Accounts & Sync. When I try to match a contact with their facebook account, "no matches" show and I don't even have a list of who I can choose.
Does this have something to do with the PRL not being 60663? Mines says 60662. I've tried every solution that was said in the forums. Delete then restart then readd the account. Still nothing.
Should I just reflash? I don't want to but my contacts look so boring without their pictures and statuses
Is seems like only contacts I have saved in my Google contacts are being linked. I thought The Hero would sync all information from my Facebook contacts. So even if I have not saved them I would be able to access their information on my phone, similarly to Palm's Synergy. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it works?

I am not using friendstream for live feeds. I only have sync contacts checked. I am using the actual facebook app. Let me explain..I have been playing around trying to get optimal battery. I have the facebook refresh interval at 30 minutes and all notifcations off (since they dont work)Under "people" I have all the facebook options checked.
