Anyone know if there is a game available like "20 questions" for the iphone? You think of an object and the game asks you a series of questions trying to guess what you are thinking. I just played 4 rounds with a fellow at work and its pretty accurate. Anything like that for the hero?

After I updated to the 2.1 I get the following options when I connect my phone to my computer via USB:
Charge Only
--Charge phone over USB
HTC Sync
--sync contacts and calendar
Disk Drive
--Mount as Disk Drive
Internet Sharing
--Share phone's mobile network with PC
When I click on Internet Sharing I get the following message:
Data Call Failure
"Error Code 67 .Registration failure.
Your PCS Vision username and/or
password may be incorrect. Please
try again."
However I have no way of adding that information. Is this a service you have to pay for (extra) in your Sprint Bill? Or is it a bug in the 2.1 update.

Question and issues pertaining to programs, apps, features, use of Android across all phones that are not specifically (or necessarily) related to the HTC Hero. View 3 Replies View Relatedi have the htc hero sprint phone,but right now there is no service on it, i dont know if that is whats causing this problem, but i downloaded htcsync 2.0 off the htc website and it installed completely only problem i get is i download the file i want,which is a game from a website called brothersoft.com, and when i click the application installer on the htcsync program, it says the app was successfully transfered to the phone, but on my phone it says "there is a problem parsing the package", can someone help me on this? do i have to have service or do i have to download another program, also do i have to have an sd card, or can it all happen from just a usb cable

I was previously flashed with Fresh 1.1 and was using LockBot, but when i tried it with Fresh 2.0d i started have some issues, so.... is there any way to create lockscreens that are like the ones that are lockbot? (i.e. Flan, Eclar, Iphone)
I know in the [Guide] Creating Custom Lockscreens there's discussions about adding a tutorial for 2.1 roms, but nothing yet.
Tried to buy game tower raider. Click buy entered info clicked download it failed hit install everything failed over and over. So i hit refund and said it refunded. Looks like i got a charge pending of 2 buck. Do they charge for refunding. I didn't want to refund I want the game. Who do o contact. Thanks.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAndorid makers need to step up the game, as the new iPhone is very good, reading about the iPhone 4 right now (WWDC, Steve Job keynote) i was really amazed, i don't own any apple product and i don't like apple close system.but: 960x640 (326ppi) IPS Display with 800:1 contrast ratio Long battery life (7 hours talk, 6 hours 3G browsing, 10 hours WiFi browsing, 10 hours video & 40 hours music.) A4 chip (as i understand it's really the main reason of the long battery life now offered) 3 axis gyro ( i didn't see that one coming), a gyro+accelerometer+compass=six axis aware device (The wood demo is really WOW) 5MP camera (larger sensor) + 720P HD video @ 30FPS + LED flash iOS 4!For me, more resolution is always better (and since the limit of the human eye ~= 300ppi) , all mobile phone should have a minimum of 300ppi.The new Gyro is a welcome move, as i always wanted my phone to senses when i rotated flat on a table. this will not only be great from game, but imagine Google earth with six axis awareness.The A4 and the longer life was expected, but nice move Apple .The camera was screaming for an update and the HD recording is a nice touch.I still preffer FroYo to iOS4 ... but iOS4 is really amazing with loads of new features.iPhone was behind in terms of the hardware, but not any more.

It's a pain since I really can't find the answer for my questions anywhere else, and this seems to be the best place to ask as there are actual Google developers here.
I just have a couple of questions:
1. What is the risk of bricking my device really? Has anyone here ever had a problem with it before?
2. Does rooting absolutely void your warranty no matter what?
3. If it does void your warranty, can they turn you down if your phone breaks for something unrelated to rooting? For example if I root my phone now, and then 4 months later I drop it and it breaks will they fix it?
4. How do they know if you rooted your phone? If I brick it accidentally is there any way for them to know that it was rooted if I don't tell them? I mean it could have just as easily been a manufacturing error, they wouldn't know until they've restored it to it's original state.
I want to create such application that would show a question to user and possible 3 (or n) answers and user should pick correct answer (some kind of learning quiz). I'm not sure about the storage for those data - questions and possible answers. What would be most natural way for Android. I know that I can either use property files or tables in sqlite database. There will be about 500 items (1 question, 3 answers, 1 correct answer ). Any ideas?

View 10 Replies View Relatedafter installing 2.2 on my hero, everything was working fine, until now. im having problems with my text messages, they wont send under sprints network, if i put it in roaming then they send right away, but roaming has awefully slow (1x) network speeds, but if i put it back to the 3g network speeds of sprint then everytime i try to send a text it just swirls in circles (the little thing next to the message) and wont send. is this sprints network being down? or does this have to do with the 2.2 update?i dont think its sprint because my mom and sister arent having any problems with there phones from the same plan. but i tryed restarting many times, taking out and leaving out the battery, putting it in airplane mode and turning that back off to reset connection, iv tryed everything and cant get it to work, so idk what to do, and i dont understand why if it was a software problem with the 2.2 installation, why would they send in roaming but not on sprints network?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAny1 here that owns both a Hero and iPhone? What are your thoughts comparing the 2? I've had my Hero 4 less than a week, and I have to say I luv the phone. I also luv my iPhone - it's super fast and the apps u get and the integration with MobileMe are amazing.My Hero on the otherhand feels totally different - it's like u're in control of so much more. The integration with GMail has brought features to my attention that i never knew 'bout. The phone is a bit slower than the iPhone, but not to the point that it's anoying. Also the integration with Facebook makes for a very nice experience.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm considering to switch to Hero from Pre. Pre is a really nice phone with the excellent webos system. But many small bugs, lag, freezing up just ****ed me off.Before I make the switch, I want to make sure Hero is as good as what I heard:
1. Hero only has <300M ROM and RAM, how does this handle the future O/S updates and mult-running apps?
2. Does Hero have an app limit like Iphone or Pre? LIke how many apps you can get at most, or you can get apps up to ***Mb?
3. I heard Hero doesn't allow to store downloaded apps to the microSD card, which leads to another similar quesiton, with the <300M memory, there will be a small room for applications.
4. Can you use Hero as a USB drive to drag and drop files(mp3, video, pictures, documents) to Hero from the computer? When you send an email from Hero, can you attach the files that you copied to the Hero even though Hero can't read the file(say some strange format file)? I know Pre can do this.
5. Can you create as many pictures folders as you want on Hero when you copying pictures from your computer so you can see pictures in different folders on Hero to better browse? I heard you can't create different photo folders on Hero and all photo are stored in one folder which is very crowded and hard to browse. Same question for mp3 / video folders.
6. Is it true that you don't know which app is running at background or which app is closed by Hero? Is there a limit on how many apps you can open at the same time? Is it easy to switch between them, (like pre)?
7. Can the battery last more than a day with moderate to heavy use? I heard it's way better than Pre battery.
since hero charges via usb could i also use the iphone usb charger rather than dishing from cash to pick up an australian compliant charger?

Are you saying the iPhone would have to completely exit the GPS Tracker to use another app or leave the GPS Tracker open and not do anything else for it to work?
