View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing the latest CM6 RC1 stable release. Whenever i get a notification my track ball flashes, and wont stop flashing after i check the notification, until i put the phone to sleep. I am using handcent, and in the notification settings i cant access the trackball flashing setting, its dark and unable to be clicked.

Can I change the LED colors? the pattern? Something!? I know that i can flip it over to silence it.
I just got my Hero a few days ago, previously I had an Instinct. So far I love the Hero, but one of my few complaints about it is having to take pictures by pressing the trackball. The trackball just feels odd to press and most of the time I have to press it multiple times for it to take a photo. Anyone have any solutions to this? I doubt there is a way to change this in the settings, but is there an app or something that uses a more convenient button for photos?

View 10 Replies View RelatedDownloaded from the market an app called Covedesign Dev. You can turn the track ball led on and off... different from the bottons on and off... Seems cool and I like that someone was able to do this... now we just need someone to integrate that into notification options...
View 20 Replies View RelatedI am just wondering what would make the trackball light blueish? Even the menu and search icon looks blue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my hero over the weekend and maybe I just didn't notice it until now. The bottom button/trackball plate seems to have a little looseness or play in it. If I push it left/right or up/down it moves a slight amount. It doesn't feel like it would pop off but its something I just noticed today. Or do I have to take it in to sprint for a replacement?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI am kind of new to the Hero community came from palm pre, is there a setting for the trackball to light up when i get or miss calls, MMS, gchat? If yes where do I go to enable it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI find this extremely annoying that at night when I am using the scroll ball that the thing keeps lighting up, and then shutting off, lighting up..etc.
Is there a way or an app that shuts off the lights to the hardbuttons/trackball?
This is especially necessary in the day time when i can see the buttons, i don't need them illuminated.
When I owned a palm, there was a program call KBlights... shut of the keyboard, hardbutton lights.
has anyone else updated and sees there trackall and button lights staying on AS LONG AS SCREEN IS ON? i cannot turn this off and its annoying during video playback
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhat's with the trackball and hard buttons singular brightness level? When my screen is completely dim because there is little to no ambient light, the last thing I want is the trackball blinding me like high beams from oncoming traffic. Does this irritate anyone else like it irritated me?

I know not everyone here is a member at xda, so I figured that at least a few people on here have eris's that they are willing to void their warrenty on (even more than they alread have with leaks and rooting )This isn't with an LED, it is the actual trackball. Seems pretty easy, anyway, thought I'd share.
I'm really new to the phone and i was just wondering if its possible to change the green color that is used for basically everything. New notifications, the texting, flashing when you have something new etc, can that color be changed?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI see an option where you can change the color of the LED light.Anyone had success with this?I tried every color and the only one that works is the green, which is the default. Side note anyone know what the LED on the right does?

View 3 Replies View Relatednow that we have a beautiful custom battery icon (thanks again Kelmar!) I would like to try to do some more customizations. My Hero is SO close to what I like now, only need one more change to make it perfect. I'd like to figure out how to change all of the green highlighting to blue on the Hero. (Like on the ZenRom) Things like: when you press a button (say the call button, as an example) or icon or widget, and things like the progress bar in the browser... also things like the unread mail indicator, and the rating stars in the market...etc. Kelmar and I have been reading on XDA, and have tried many things, and we are getting nowhere. Everything seems to lead to a very long tedious process. It would seem to us that some of this might be able to be easily changed in one file, to make the change throughout the rom, but we could be wrong. We wonder if anyone here could help out with how to do this.
View 31 Replies View RelatedImmediately after I booted my phone up after the update my trackball was glowing green telling me I had an email. I never set it to green. Id like to figure out how to change the trackball colors. I went through all the settings I could think of but apparently I missed it. Where is this located?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI know this is possible on the Nexus One and I was wondering if it is on the Droid Eris. It would be the coolest thing to have like a green trackball
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post here . i 'm from Paris ( France ) and i get my HTC Magic ( G2 ) last week . I 'am a crackberry but just wanna try another OS but really miss my Crackberry anyway.
Do you guys know if there's a way to change the trackball settings ( light , sensibility ect ) and maybe the color like in the blackberry pearl , maybe a soft.
I just go hero and I went to the Pop3 setting and started to insert my microsoft pop3 account setting in the fields as prompted. The password was not correct so it would not pull in my emails.I can't seem to find out how to go back into my pop3 settings since the HTC Hero email application will not let me view my previous settings to make changes. There must be a way, I am just not seeing it.Please help me with the correct procedure. It tells me to select my email account from the drop down screen in my created email account, so, I select the email address that it shows that I created.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to change the sensitivity of the trackball? I know this was a feature on my BB, but I have not seen a way to do it on the Eris.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI haven't been able to figure out how to change the google account I originally activated my hero with. The reason i want to change it is because my gmail app only opens email from that account, and I used a new gmail account to register my phone with that was specifically for my contacts, and now i cant check my other gmail accounts email. anyone know a good solution without having to format?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWith the HTC Magic I rarely use the trackball for anything. My biggest benefit from the trackball is the light flash on certain notifications.
It will blink when you missed a call, have a new voicemail or have a new text message.
Does anyone know if there is a way to change these settings? I would like it to flash on any event in the notification bar (like unread emails).
The sensitivity also seems a little low... are there any apps to increase the sensitivity of the trackball?
On the Nexus One (at least in 2.1-update1, and I think in 2.1), there is a setting under Sound & Display: "Pulse notification light". This doesn't seem to be present on the "2.1 with Google APIs" emulator image. I've not yet checked any other devices. I want to set this programmatically without user interaction, in order to make a Locale plugin, so the device can grab my attention when I'm awake at my desk, without having it floodlighting the room when someone spams me at 4am. It's quite bright.
I didn't see it in android.provider.Settings.System where many other things on this screen live, so I had a look in the platform source. There are some relevant parts in NotificationManagerService, in enqueueNotificationWithTag and updateLightsLocked. That goes off into HardwareService which seems well past the point of caring about user settings. I've no idea where this setting is implemented or how I might influence it. I fully expect the answer to be "there is no API for this" (perhaps related to it being Nexus One specific), and that the best I can do is to schedule (using Locale or something else) an Intent of ACTION_DISPLAY_SETTINGS to remind me to set the box manually, which would suck. I'm hoping that I've missed something, or that a Googler is reading this and can tell me that this is planned for addition to the API?
Is there a way we can we use the old, automated sprint voicemail recording of "you've reached the sprint voice mailbox of ###-###-####" on the Hero? I don't particularly like that I had to record my own voicemail mailbox greeting when I setup the phone and rather have the basic sprint recording that I've had on every other sprint phone I've ever owned.
