Google results show up a couple of old reviews online which claim the X10 has multi shot capabilities, but I can find nothing on any spec sheets.

Mar 28, 2010The Xperia X10 atm, runs at android 1.6, which only recognizes 1 touch at a time on the touchscreen.
If Sony ever gives us an update to 2.1, which supports multi-touch,....Can the X10 screen support multi-touch, but restricted by the android version atm only, or is X10's screen only able to support single touch in the first place, and won't matter if android is updated?

Apr 7, 2010As all of us have been seeing and reading issues regarding X10. Let's sum them up. Let's be more precise about what is a real deal-breaker.
1- Absence of "Multi-touch" has really made people change their decision.
2- Some people are worried about the screen resolution.
3- Android 1.6 is an issue as well.
So, please give your opinions about these issues, how important they are to you and how they are deal-breakers. Any other issues faced by the X10 owners.

Aug 10, 2010Multi-touch issue, was promised late last year then was announced that it wasn't going to happen, can we replace the digitizer so we can get dual/multi-touch? Ninth Issue Now it seems that SE don't want to talk about Multi-touch, I just don't understand how come Xperia X10 has a single touch digitizer but X10mini has a dual touch digitizer but it's disabled so it can only work as a single touch. My question is this: Can we replace the digitizer in the Xperia X10 to a Dual or Multi-touch digitizer? Multi-touch fiasco: SE kept saying that Xperia X10 was Dual/Multiple touch capable, it was confirmed during Mobile World Congress, it was later "corrected", and Sumit Malhotra in the official Sony Ericsson blog said that the Xperia X10 was going to have Multi-touch with an OS update which few months later and after thousands of unanswered post by customers and SE fans we learned the truth that its not software but a hardware issue, in other words, its cheaper for SE to buy single touch digitizer for a 4inch screen than ironically buying a dual touch digitizer for the x10 mini but block it through software, yeah the x10 mini has hardware capable of dual touch but: " I noted some of your comments asking for the multi touch support. Having shared our personal experiences using the new UI within our team, we just love it the way it is and think that multi-touch would actually just destroy the simplicity of using these products. Sep 13, 2010This time I wanted to play some media , a WMV file, from FOXDIGITALCOPY, and it seems Xperia doesnt support it - atleast that's what the FOXDIGITALCOPY software tells me when I tried to sync up the media from my PC.
Also, this file doesnt even show up on the mediascape screen though I copied into the videos folder where other videos are saved.
I tried to play a more smaller and simpler file - the wildlife HD video sample from Windows - which is again a WMV file.
This time, Xperia tries to play it, but the video only comes up as stills while the audio plays as normal.

Jun 10, 2010Have just got my new X10 - all OK except one thing that is frustrating. Is there any way I can get sms text message tone to repeat if I miss one. With other phones, if an sms is not read it repeats the sms tone every minute or so to remind you there is one waiting to be read - cant see any way of doing this on the X10 - anybody know if this is possible and I am just missing it, or is there an app that does it?

I hope someone can suggest something to help?I occasionally have issues replying to text messages! When I send the messages, I receive a message saying: 'message not sent', even though I have signal at the time. In order to send the message, I have to leave the messaging app (SE default) and go to my contacts list, find the person and send the message as a new message.

Other people on other networks like O2, Virgin, T-Mobile etc are fine its just Vodafone. I just want to know whats wrong and why it matters for 3G to be on seem as its just a text message.

I have a cool sound set for message notification (something like "Message arrives"). However, in the setting, there are only Phone Ringtone(for incoming calls) and Notification Ringtone(for both message and alarm notification. Therefor, when I do something like plug-in my phone to PC, the message ringtone is played, which is quite annoying. My question is that is there any way to set the separate sounds for message and alarm notifications? (maybe an app)
