I have set up my X10 to download emails, which it does successfully, however it deletes them of my service provider's mail server so that they don't come through to my PC any more.I have selected both options on the X10 in "Delete email from server" ie "Never" and "When I delete from Inbox", but each has the same result.

When I delete emails from my MiniPro it also takes them off the server (I use BTinternet) how do I stop this happening?

I just got a Fascinate yesterday (was a former Blackberry user) and was wondering if there was an option to delete emails from either or / both the phone and/or email? Blackberry used to have a sync option that when you selected "Delete" it asked if you wanted to:

Delete from PC
Delete from handheld and PC

At present to delete these pictures I have to go through each picture individually. How can I delete the entire contents of each folder? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a X10 Mini Android Terminal. The phone is very useful and delightful but i can't find how to delete some calls from the registry (answered, missed and dialed). The Phone just gives me the option to delete all the registry.
Can I delete some calls without erasing all of them?
If it's not possible with the phone itself, Is there another way to do it? Maybe dowloading an app from the Android Market?
First of all, the problem might be only because I don't know how to set up my phone. It is my first smart / android phone. So please cut answers like "check settings or L2use your phone etc" I am trying to find an answer for the following issues:
1) My email client - default client pre-instaled is not working as expected, I set up incoming + outcoming servers correctly - confirmed by email provider as well as my operator. I can receive emails ( with 3hours automatical check I never got a single notification regarding new email ) but the problem is that I CANNOT SEND EMAILS, well I can, but they never arrive ! I have tried this several times and failed. Any tips on this one ?
2) Google Maps or any other map / navi application from market is working only when I am connected to Wi-Fi Is there any offline possibility ? like a downloadable offline map ? Also I am confused about my 3G connection is not working with this application...but more to 3G at point no. 3
3) 3G connection not working as expected - I can browse internet with it, acces my email or facebook through the browser. But when I try the facebook client pre-instaled it never connects, nor does meebo (icq), google maps or market. It says something similar to "connection timedout" or "server packet not connected". If it would be a case of wrong settings then it probably wouldn't browse the internet, would it? Otherwise I am happy with my first android phone, it has few bugs. But give me a perfect freshie on market
It seems that you can not delete all emails together - you have to delete them one by one - what a faff and time consuming!!! Beats me why they remove certain logical things on this phone, not being able to send a contact is another.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI created a gmail account when I got this phone purely because it asked me to (usually I use hotmail), then started a new job, where my boss said she uses gmail to communicate. Everytime I checked my gmail on the phone it woudn't tell me MY email address, (because, I shoulda known it) but I couldn't remember what it was, so I made a new gmail account, and started using it at work. I didn't want to have two accounts so when I found out what the original account was (in the phone). I went online on my computer and deleted the account, intending to replace it with the newer one. However since deleting the old email account, I can no longer update any apps, or buy any new apps. It continously asks for the old gmail's password, but won't accept it when I've entered it.

We are using proxy for Internet browsing but there is no provision to enter proxy IP details for WiFi. I have the Google Sync selected within the Data Synchornisation settings but I have auto synchronisation turned off.

How to delete mulitple emails from my inbox rather than having to delete individually from my inbox, and then having to repeat a second time from my trash can??
I currently am using the standard email app, which I have linked to my hotmail account. Although I prefer how deleting emails on my handset is not synced to my hotmail account (which is useful for emails I wish to later preserve on my laptop archive).
I am bemused as to why such a standardised function is missing (unless of course I have missed a trick). The time it takes to individually delete unnecessary emails completely from my handset is ridiculous, especially when attempting to empty the trash can (which I have never completely finished due time and patience).
I have set up the Email app on the phone to connect to my Yahoo! Mail account. However, the Email app always regards incoming messages as unread even if they have already been marked as read on the Yahoo! Mail account itself. This makes the unread messages count in the Email app inaccurate and unhelpful.
The Email app does not appear to possess a facility to mark several messages as read, the only way to bring the unread count down is to open each message in turn. Sometimes a message has to be opened twice in the app before it is regarded as read. I can delete more than one message on the phone, but this also deletes the messages on the Yahoo! Mail account, which is not what I want.
I have tried deleting the email account from the Email app and then reinstating it, but I now have an unread message count of 50 on the phone when all of these messages have, in fact, already been read on the Yahoo! Mail account.
I can also access the Yahoo! Mail account by means of the Yahoo! Mail app on the phone, but one of the disadvantages of this is that the icon for Yahoo! Mail does not possess an unread messages count at all.
