I couldn't find Creatouch™ application in my phone. I just brought it, and its in Singapore. So may I know how do I get this Creatouch™ application on my phone?

Got a ping last night to say that there was an update available (yay!). Went through Sony Update Service and it downloaded 154MB of update and then applied it. On restart the only difference I could see was that there was a new app - Creatouch - and what appears to be a library file (com.sonyericsson...) in my app list. So two questions:
1. How come that Creatouch - which app management claims is less than 4.5MB - needs a 154MB download? What else was in that update (there's no release notes I can find for it - which would have been useful)?
2. Is there anyone in SE that I can send feedback to (Jeff/KrazyD - maybe this is question for you?). Obviously something's not right in the update if it's putting a library file into the applist where users might try and run it. I did try that (being nosy) and got an alert dialogue "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" (which I've not done)
I thought this might be the long-awaited 2.1 update - but post install my phone's still at 1.6 (build R2BA020).Still maybe this is preparation for 2.1 and at least this update came direct from SE, rather than having to wait for my teleco to look at it.
Does anyone know how to install creatouch w/o playnow? I had playnow before the update but now its gone and I cant seem to find a way to install the app, any suggestions?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my Xperia x10 mini yesterday, and one of the first things I did was to set it up for WiFi in my house (which I already have 2 laptops and a stationary PC connected to). Setting it up was easy and quick, but my phone doesn't find the network, not even if I am standing right beside the router. I have tried to restart the WiFi connection, restart my phone, delete and re-add the home connection, but the phone still doesn't connect to the network.
The network's SSID isn't broadcasted for security reasons, could this be the problem? When I search for networks, it doesn't find any 'unnamed' networks like the windows pcs do. (which is normally the one I need to connect to.) Is there something wrong with my hardware? Or my software (my phone is completely up-to-date)? (Except broadcast the SSID, which is not an option..)

When the phones visibility is on (form a poxy 120 secs) no other phone in my house can find it or send it any files etc. Is there a general problem with bluetooth on this phone that i am unaware of?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI dunno, After using the SE Satio and C905, those cameras are MUCH better than this one, Considering those were so great I was positive this one was going to be excellent! Its definitely not bad, but for an 8mp camera its not that great, Its like the W995, it has an 8mp camera on it and its WAY under par, does NOT take good pictures. Anyway Im not really disappointed or anything I just found it a bit under-par, Im willing to bet that the 5mp camera on the Galaxy S will be better than this one, The BEST cameras on cell phones Ive ever used are the Omnia HD and the Satio.
Also Something Ive noticed about all the android phones Ive used, the way they take pictures is.....awkward. Its hard to explain but when I used the satio and C905, they way they took pictures it felt like a real camera, Ive used the Hero, N1, and now X10 and they way they shoot the pics it just doesn't feel the same, again hard to explain without you using so....
Following on from the "autolock after phone calls" discussion thread which did not seem to get resolved, I heard that Dialer One was a neat dialer than the built in X10 dialer (and hopefully does not autolock after phone calls), but I could not find it anywhere in the market. Would anyone know where I can find the APK to download?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased the X10 handset and on a whole I'm really pleased with it. My previous handset was an N97 - rubbish! Anyway, since playing with the phone, could you answer these for me as I'm new to Android and don't really know what I'm doing.
1) On the mentu's, text screen, etc. It has a blue background and white writing. Is there anyway to change this? I have an eye condition and blue isn't the best colour for me to read from. I was looking for something like theme settings but there isn't one.
2) Is there a keyboard application that is like the normal alphanumeric layout on phone keypads ie to get the letter b you press the number 2 twice. I believe the HTC Desire has this option and old Nokia N97 that the feature.
3) I've read on another thread about the ringing volume and earpiece volume being low and turning up the volume to max makes the earpiece sounds quality pop/crackle. I've experienced this too but does anyone know if there is a firmware update out to rectify this?
4) I've also read that Android 2.1 is due out for this handset. Does anyone know when it's out, or if it is already out, where do I download it from?
Ive downloaded some videos from Realplayer but i cannot find them on my phone. Ive searched mediascape but they're not to be found.Ive tried office suite but every file i click it just goes to black screen and says unsupported file.I know theyre on the phone because when i put my usb cable in,they show up on my PC as being there.

I have been trying to root it for sometime now, but every time i try to, the process never works because my computer can't detect. I changed usb ports and changed my "path" settings. When i run regetid it finds the usb port, but the device i.d. is incorrect (when i go to root, it still won't find the device.) Don't know what else to do. Anybody got anything?
