There are several applications (e.g. Yahoo! Mail client) which I cannot find in Android market although I know they exist. I have an X10 mini pro with Telia subscription. My college has an HTC also with Telia subscription and he gets other listings of apps on Android market.

Issue: Unable to access the Andriod market and other google applications pre installed in my phone.
Background:
1. I brought an new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro mobile phone.
2. I am a resident of India and I use the Airtel network.
3. I can connect my phone to the WiFi at home, and to the Mobile Office GPRS services provided by airtel.
4. I can browse internet when on GPRS or Wifi and I can also access facebook using the facebook for android apps.
5. I can acccess GMail via the email application and the web browser.
6. However, when I try accessing the Android market or the Gmail apps or GTalk - it asks me for a google login
Problem faced:
1. I give my google login, but I get a reply stating that the server is unreachable.
2. This therefore, prevents me from accessing the Android market
3. This also prevents me form effectively using the Google apps installed in the phone.
Steps Taken:
1. I have contacted Sony Xperia Technical support in India and the team was incapable and unable to effectively debug this issue.
Can everyone suggest some very cool games for my x10 mini. I tried raging thunder and robo defense, my friend has the same but i am unable to find it on the market.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded some apps from Market. They all downloaded successfully but I cannot see them when i go to Menu and then click on the 'App' Icon. When i click on the 'App' Icon it says 'To add widgets open the vodafone shop and download your widgets' I already have the apps installed on the phone for sure, just need the shortcuts to appear under the 'App' button.

But then to install Astro, I need astro.The other alternative is to use the SDK. But the SDK route doesn't work, as the stock USB driver that comes with SDK does not support X10.

There is no android market icon on home screen so i searched "android market" on internet and using internet browse version.
I can access android market (androidzoom?) and find applicatin, but it says " yo do not have permission to open this page. market://~~~(url)".
I can do nothing without applications...
I dunno, After using the SE Satio and C905, those cameras are MUCH better than this one, Considering those were so great I was positive this one was going to be excellent! Its definitely not bad, but for an 8mp camera its not that great, Its like the W995, it has an 8mp camera on it and its WAY under par, does NOT take good pictures. Anyway Im not really disappointed or anything I just found it a bit under-par, Im willing to bet that the 5mp camera on the Galaxy S will be better than this one, The BEST cameras on cell phones Ive ever used are the Omnia HD and the Satio.
Also Something Ive noticed about all the android phones Ive used, the way they take pictures is.....awkward. Its hard to explain but when I used the satio and C905, they way they took pictures it felt like a real camera, Ive used the Hero, N1, and now X10 and they way they shoot the pics it just doesn't feel the same, again hard to explain without you using so....
Following on from the "autolock after phone calls" discussion thread which did not seem to get resolved, I heard that Dialer One was a neat dialer than the built in X10 dialer (and hopefully does not autolock after phone calls), but I could not find it anywhere in the market. Would anyone know where I can find the APK to download?

I have been trying to root it for sometime now, but every time i try to, the process never works because my computer can't detect. I changed usb ports and changed my "path" settings. When i run regetid it finds the usb port, but the device i.d. is incorrect (when i go to root, it still won't find the device.) Don't know what else to do. Anybody got anything?
