our X10's not featured on google's phone gallery.. but why? for an expensive phone like this.why do you think google did not include our x10 on the list?

Just got an X10 recently. I have friends who lost all their phone contacts when they tried to sync their phone with google. Thought I find out how to do it so that it doesn't happen to me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia X10i with Android 2.1 in it.I have enabled contact sync between my gmail and phone contacts. Whereas contacts sync from gmail to phone works like a charm but it does not happen the other way round.That means any new contact created in the phone does not get synced with gmail.Is this a common problem? Has anyone found any solution for it? Does an SE moderator or staff care to drop in and enlighten on this issue.

Specifically the Gallery App for X10s.I saw it while using Launcherpro but I'd like to use it with ADW. JustPictures! works, but gallery doesn't. Is it just the app?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBecause of several issues with SE sync, I am trying to use Google sync instead. However, this is also not working as expected: I wished to have all my phone contacts transferred from the phone to Gmail contact list. I started with an empty Gmail contact list. I enabled Google sync as described on the SE website. I don't know exactly what it does, but I also enabled Settings -> Data synchro -> Gmail (perhaps related to my e-mails?)
Result: Calendar syncs without problem. Contacts do not transfer from phone to Gmail
Second trial: I created a new contact "A" on GmailI created a new contact "B" on the phoneI ran sync
Result: Contact "A" synced successfully from Gmail to phone. No sync of contact "B" from phone to Gmail.
Third trial: I modified contact "A" on the phoneI ran sync
Result: The modification done on the phone did not sync to Gmail
Hints from the phone: When I try using Google sync for calendar, the sync icon shows for some seconds, before the date of last sync is updated. All ok. When I try using Google sync for contacts, the sync icon shows for 5-15 minutes. It then disappears, but no date of last sync is added. When I check the contact list, contacts have been synced from Gmail, but not to Gmail.
When I select Settings -> Data synchro -> Gmail, the sync icon blinks for some seconds with a yellow warning triangle. I don't know if this is related to my Gmail e-mails. The e-mails in the Gmail app are loaded without problem.I have already tried going to "manage application" and clear data for "Gmail" and "Gmail storage". I should probably mention that I synced my phone contacts with Gmail some months ago, without problems. This means that my Gmail contact list was not empty when I started messing with this. However, on my first sync attempt, contact lists on the phone and on Gmail were not synced. Instead, all Gmail contacts were added to the phone, causing 95% duplicate entries. I exported my Gmail contacts, deleted the entire Gmail contact list, and synced again to remove duplicate entries from the phone. Then started the process above. I would rather avoid deleting all the contacts from the phone to reload them from Gmail or SE sync, because addresses, facebook/twitter connections, etc. do not sync well.

View 1 Replies View Relateddon't get me wrong, i think mediascape is great but variety being the spice of life, i'm always looking for alternative apps. i found a great music app(cubed) and great video app(rock player base - divx) but i am still in search for a picture gallery app.found the nexus 3d gallery and downloaded the apk file but haven't tried it yet. it might not even work on android 1.6.

View 4 Replies View Relatedright so the bottom buttons were working fine, but the next day, the back button takes me to the home screen :S so if im on facebook, press the back button, instead of going to the previous page. and i also set up the draw thing to unlock it, but as it was raining a little it said i entered it wrong too many times and asked for the google mail thing... but i really have no rememberence of making one, which is so ******* annyoying.
the only way ive found out to solve this problem is doin a phone software update, however as my bottom right button is working properly, everytime i hold it down to plug the phones usb, the phone just starts normally, so basically i cannot do the system update.
I want to change Google account. I tried Setting>Basic Settings>Setup Guide, but cannot click Google Account. Cannot change from Menu>Gmail too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just received my X10 yesterday and had no trouble syncing gmail, google calendar, and google contacts last night.
This morning I decided to clean up my contacts in the web browser on my laptop since there were lots of duplicates and some names were first + last and some were last, first. I just wanted some consistency. So I spent a consderable amount of time doing that. Now they're clean in the web browser.
The problem is that now I can't sync them to my phone. I've tried countless times, and the little symbol spins, but then nothing is changed once the sync is finished.
The only contact that appears in the phone book is my own number. I've also tried powering off the phone, turning off automatic syncing, and logging out of gmail on the laptop.
I would really like to know if it is realistically secure to sync my phone with Google Calendar and other Google tools. The Calendar website is not secure because it is not an https site so that means all my calendar stuff is open to the web. Put this together with my phone contacts list and some unscrupulous person could work out where I live and when I'm out of the house.What do you all think about this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFew days ago i had trouble with the keyboard of my X10, it was, for unknown reason, lock in Korean and i couldn't change it.So i decided to reset my phone to factory setup. This worked and the keyboard came back to french.But now i can't access to any Google app, as Market, Gmail, etc.It's asking me to log in to my google account (it never ask me that before, even when i bought the phone), but it's always telling me that my password is wrong and advice me to connect http:/google.com/accounts on my PC. I did it and i can access to my google account without any problem.Then i updated my phone to Android 2.1, but it didn't solve anything, i tried to repair it with Update service and PC Companion, but it didn't help more.I found on internet that i could put "null" as my password, but then it's asking me to reproduce a capcha, i did but it's asking me to reproduce another one, again and again.I noticed than my phone seems to have some trouble to connect with my SIM card, don't know if it's link.I don't really want to send my phone to repair for 3 weeks, but this is becoming really annoying, what can i do ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to deactivate the Google account (due to a privacy issue) that I was using on my laptop and it was the one I was using on the phone also. Now that I've deactivated it, I am no longer able to use the android apps, or change things within the phone because on not being able to log into that account. The login page comes up with the old account asking me for my password, but of course, like I said, it is no longer in use, and it doesn't let me change the user name as I've made another goggle account. I have tried to change things in the settings, but all I've done it seems is to have screwed it up more.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a sony x10 phone everything was fine until one of the kids entered wrong start up key 5 times in a row now i cant gain access to phone in any way,does not accept google user name or password,tried switching off for 10 mins taking out battery and so on to no effect.user name and password seems to be accepted online. Also tried to fix problem online using sony Ericsson pc companion which asks to drag down on phone but does not allow drag down.

Anyway my phone was in my pocket and has locked up asking me to enter my google account details but like i say i forgot the details, didnt think i needed to remember them as i was always signed into the account on my phone, so does anybody know how i can get this sorted.
