View 15 Replies View RelatedI was bored today and decided to do the updating through my phone (not through SE Update Service), unlike the previous 3 weeks, it finally shows there is an update for my phone. I was so excited and immediately hit ok and start downloading. It took total about 30 minutes to download and update the phone. Seems like a major update. I was so happy thinking this has got to be the Android 2.1 firmware update. After updating, the phone automatically restarted itself. Took about 1 minute to restart. Right away, I went to the setting - about phone to check the software version. It still shows Firmware 1.6. But the baseband version is now 1.1.27 instead of 1.1.16 before. What is this baseband version?

I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the default one so only handcent is in use.
Backup & Restore not installed on the x10 I just bought (Neither is Moxier).
Since Backup & Restore is a d/l from SE, not the market, ATT is barring me from even installing it.
I can't seem to find a notepad type program in the pre installed programs. Any recommendations from the Market or where it can be found on the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI still have the songs I had b4 I've downloaded the 2.1 OS; when I look into the X10 Mini, the "AVAILABLE ROOM" seems to have gotten bigger; but I also have many times in which the phone says: "no SD card found" or "no available storage" and such, regardless all my songs are there(not sure where!), and the "SD and storage" still shows the amount of memory like - Total room: 3.67GB and Available room: 3.11GB; considering I only had about 1.70GB left pryor to the 2.1 OS update!

when i opened it, the contain was all Japanese language i don't understand.
when i install app from droid market, are they install to the phone or the SD card. if to the phone, do i have the option to put them to the SD card? when i connect the x10 to my computer via the USB cable, i don't seem to see the apps. where, which folder rather, do they reside?

View 2 Replies View RelatedChecking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing (thanks suze!) to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixzing drop its icon for me to be able to use it from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem! I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to connect my Xperia to my pc via USB port nothing happens. The problem started after I updated my phone's software not to 2.1 (as its not available for my phone as yet) but another update that the software said was available. Upon completing the update I then reconnected my phone to the USB port but then my computer said there's no drivers installed for my phone. I've tried letting windows search for drivers but no luck with that. I find this strange when previously everything worked fine and I could browse the files on my memory card, but now all I get is no drivers are available. I've tried searching for drivers on line, but there doesn't seem to be none. Is there any way to solve this problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a new x10 owner, I have 1 dekstop, 2 laptops, and a playstation3 all connected to my router wirelessly and they all work fine, so the signal strength and availability are definitely out of question. I've tried using different security protocols and they all yield the same result, it cannot successfully obtain an IP address. Occasionally it would work, but most of the time it doesn't.

Firstly, the button on the side doesn't activate it. It does go into it from the apps screen though.
However, when you push the camera button to take a photo, it focusses for a brief time then it bleeps loudly and the focus square on the screen turns green. It never actually takes the shot.
Timescape wont load on my phone, i get the error message 'the application timescape provider [provider com.sonyericsson.android.contentmanager.service.ti mescape] has stopped unexpectedly. why is this? i have rebooted my phone, this also sometimes happened to my messaging application
