so i have a x10a and ive already debranded it but when i go into the se debug menu it shows my location is argentina. is there a debranding file for america generic. if so can you point me in the right direction.

after serveral attempts to convert back with my original roms, it still read x10i
is there a way to convert back? If not, does this change anything in the future for my updates?
do i need to use the "i" roms from now on?

i successfully debranded my rogers x10a to a generic x10a firmware. but for some reason i cant seem to update it to R1FA016. both ota and sony update software keeps telling me that my phone has the latest software. i was wondering if any1 faced similar issues and if there is a solution to this problem.

I'm thinking of debranding my vodafone branded x10i. I brought my x10 second hand. It was originally vodafone, But it looks like the previous owner had it Sim unlocked. Which m now using o2 Sim in it. What i would like to know is that, if i debrand it. Will the phone wont re-lock?

I was bored today and decided to do the updating through my phone (not through SE Update Service), unlike the previous 3 weeks, it finally shows there is an update for my phone. I was so excited and immediately hit ok and start downloading. It took total about 30 minutes to download and update the phone. Seems like a major update. I was so happy thinking this has got to be the Android 2.1 firmware update. After updating, the phone automatically restarted itself. Took about 1 minute to restart. Right away, I went to the setting - about phone to check the software version. It still shows Firmware 1.6. But the baseband version is now 1.1.27 instead of 1.1.16 before. What is this baseband version?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am having issues with playing videos on my X10. I have used Media Go to convert .avi to .mp4 before and they have worked fine but now I can only get 1 file to work out of 10. I have played the converted files in Mediscape and now they dont want to work.
So......
I have tried several different conversion programs (Smart C, Double Twist and some others I cant remember) and I have also tried a couple of different players as well (Rock Player, YxFlash, Real Player) and nothing works.
YxFlash used to let me play .avi and I believe that Rock Player is supposed to be able to support .avi as well. Now, nothing.
I dont mind converting the files, IF THEY WORK.
I have changed my mobile from W705 to X10 mini pro, i made the backup of W705 in .dbk file which i couldn't import those in my new x10.

View 9 Replies View RelatedAs soon as I plugged the USB cable in the computer it started installing PC Companion, this all installed correctly. I cannot open the file sharing option the only time its will open is when the phone is not connected, so I do this then connect my phone and thats it nothing else.
I go on Media Go and I just cannot transfer any files over to my phone the only transfer option I get is to put it into another folder. My sd card that comes with the phone will keep saying unavaliable. Now I am not normally slow at working phones but this has me completely stumped.
I want to set a ringtone from my sd card to a contact directly, is it possible in Android 1.6 (Sony Ericsson X10)? Any application is their? I tried few applications, in which i can go to the contact (Edit) & select a ringtone & assign it but the problem is iam having around 1000+ songs & all songs were listed thr. So not able to search my ringtone immediately its taking so much time to search manually. If iam seeing the ringtone from my sd card folder & able to select the ringtone & assign it to a contact it would be better. Is it possible in any of ur known applications?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI raised over and over to your Accredited Service Centers here in the Philippines namely MemoXpress and Semicon. I already escalated a lot of issues but they were not able to fix all of it and they just replaced my phone with new Xperia X2 phone not just once but twice. Unfortunately, some issues are still open and haven't fixed yet. See issues and recreational steps below.
1. Backlight is ON even the phone is turned OFF. Keep open any media file (i.e. picture, video, so on) >> Turn the phone off >> Backlight is still on
2. Battery is drained when the battery is removed and inserted it again. Turn the phone on >> Turn it off >> Remove battery >> Insert battery >> Turn the phone on >> Battery is drained..................
