I'm thinking of debranding my vodafone branded x10i. I brought my x10 second hand. It was originally vodafone, But it looks like the previous owner had it Sim unlocked. Which m now using o2 Sim in it. What i would like to know is that, if i debrand it. Will the phone wont re-lock?

That's the question folks. I'm in South America, and I bought my X10 Mini in a sales opportunity for a low price but branded for one company.I want to debrand it, but i want to know if in the future, when the 2.1 Android Patch is released... will i have any trouble? Or maybe it's probable I lose the debranding?

after serveral attempts to convert back with my original roms, it still read x10i
is there a way to convert back? If not, does this change anything in the future for my updates?
do i need to use the "i" roms from now on?

i successfully debranded my rogers x10a to a generic x10a firmware. but for some reason i cant seem to update it to R1FA016. both ota and sony update software keeps telling me that my phone has the latest software. i was wondering if any1 faced similar issues and if there is a solution to this problem.

1. Why is AT&T's No Commitment Pricing $349.99 while Sony Style's is $499.99? Neither price involves a new contract or extension.
2. I've read something about Android devices on AT&T being limited in terms of apps. Does that mean I can only install apps from the Marketplace? If that's the case, is it that big of a deal? I've never felt the need to jailbreak my iPhone, for what that's worth.
3. Other there any other downsides to getting the AT&T phone over a import/unlocked model?
4. Anything else an iOS convert should know?
I've poked around on these (and other) forums but couldn't really find black and white answers to my questions.
to all those who got their X10 on contract in the UK, is your phone locked or unlocked? I heard O2 do not lock their phones while the others do.

I have a 3 sim card in it that works but i can't access Planet 3 anymore. if i start the web application it will connect to vodafone & vodafone only. Is there any way i can access planet 3 again? The phone is completely unlocked i can access all menus with no problem but as soon as i make a call it says "Call ended" and messages remain unsent with a red exclamation mark. No messages or calls can be received either. I've tried 2 different sim cards with different providers and on both cases the signal is full but the same problem persists.

I was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?
