That's the question folks. I'm in South America, and I bought my X10 Mini in a sales opportunity for a low price but branded for one company.I want to debrand it, but i want to know if in the future, when the 2.1 Android Patch is released... will i have any trouble? Or maybe it's probable I lose the debranding?

after serveral attempts to convert back with my original roms, it still read x10i
is there a way to convert back? If not, does this change anything in the future for my updates?

i successfully debranded my rogers x10a to a generic x10a firmware. but for some reason i cant seem to update it to R1FA016. both ota and sony update software keeps telling me that my phone has the latest software. i was wondering if any1 faced similar issues and if there is a solution to this problem.

I am on T-Mobile UK and don't want to wait till the end of November to update as I want HD video recording before my baby is born.
so i have a x10a and ive already debranded it but when i go into the se debug menu it shows my location is argentina. is there a debranding file for america generic. if so can you point me in the right direction.

I can't seem to find a way to adjust my wireless settings so that it will allow me to enter the information. It only lets me enter password information. I know it requires both because I have connected to it on my computer. I know that there are other networks available, but there is reason that I want to use this one.

It lights up and I try to swipe the unlock bar accross to the right but it just comes back to the left. I got it once but missing calls is getting annoying.Is there anything else I can do?

I can download the software from my phone but can't install them. I also tried SE update service and PC companion. Update Service just says my phone is up to date and exits.PC companion says the same thing "your phone is up to date". I read somewhere today that you cantnot update ur phone after rooting it so I tried to repair my phone using PC companion but that failed too. I got a download error and something about checking my internet connection. I was wondering if anyone knows a way of flashing my phone with the original u20i generic uk so i can update again.

I live in Denmark, and my friend with same phone and tele company have no problem updating. What I'm I missing??
I recently swapped my own X10 for a HTC Desire for a multiutude of reasons I won't go into, but my GF kept her X10 in anticipation of the 2.1 Update. She has updated the phone now, although it did take two hours and kept failing.
Anyway, she is happyish with the phone, but I still feel guilty, as it is so terribly slow, and I recommended the phone to her in the first place.
Anyway onto my question. If anyone has a HTC Desire and an X10, they may have more insight, but basically, the X10, after the update, is really slow.
I have sat my Desire side by side with her X10, and tried to do simple tasks, like go into settings, or load media scape, or add widgets, etc, and the X10 is sometimes seconds behind the Desire. I am hoping this is due to a bad install of the update but am not sure.
Everything seems to lag, pressing settings, going into the app drawer, loading the messaging app, and it doesnt always take the same amount of time to load things either. Sometimes going into settings comes up instantly, other times it takes 5 or 6 seconds. Things just seem to hang for no reason. Even scrolling the app drawer and settings screens up and down seem laggy.
We both have launcher pro installed now too, as I find it to be an amazing launcher, but the X10 with launcher pro is again miles behind speed wise, to the point of, to me anyway, almost unnacceptable lag.
Anyway, I just wondered if anyone, hopefully with both phones too, could advise me. I dont want to advise her to do the update again if it isn't going to help. I am privately hoping it is not the limitations of the X10 that makes Android 2.1 so slow, but just a bad install, but i'm not holding my breath.
I'm not good in phone software, i just want to know can X10 Update to Android 2.1 or 2.2 now? and I'm using Android 1.6 at the moment.

I restarted the phone is not getting restarted.
Even I did " Remove and reinsert the battery and then restart your phone. If this does not help, charge the phone. It may take up to 30 minutes before you can see that the battery is being charged.
i've found that my x10 really disappointed me even after updated.. still alot of bugs! and so slow~==... that really irritates me alot... SE pls do something to improve the phone as i can see the specification of this phone is really good just that the software sucks. and this phone is not cheap at all. cost me almost like the price of an iphone

I followed all the instructions on updating to Android 2.1 and I did not have any error messages in the process. When I boot my X10, I am still at Android 1.6. Worse yet, the backup/restore application does not restore everything. I have to reconfigure my main screens and the worse of it is my Touchdown client needs to be reconfigured for exchange sync and I have to reconfigure it and re-download everything again. How can I diagnose why my android doesn't update? I am using Windows 7 x64. The process looked like it was working, but I see the following in the driverinstaller_install_usbflashdriver.log file:

My phone charging port is broken. I have been unable to charge the phone and connect it to the pc. Can anyone advise if it is possible to still get the update. I have taken the phone to a few places to see if the port can be fixed but no one is guranteeing they can fix the com port.
