heres a method that I found at xda to add some more speed for the X10. Install an app called minfreemanager. Then change the last 3 values to 150, 200, and 250. Then save and reboot your phone. you should see an increase.

My brother just got the ICrap4. and he was wondering if he could make facetime calls with others phones than Apples. So we downloaded both Fring app and tryed to make a call. once i tried the app told me i could'nt do videocall because of sofware limitation how come? I could do video calls with my old non-smart LG Shine. but cannot do it with the X10?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been doing a lot of browsing of sites such as youtube on my phone. I thought this was all happening via the wifi connection to my home network, however I have discovered it has been doing it from 3G as well, since it has eaten up a lot of money on my phone.
The question is how do I enable Internet browsing on wifi as default (when wifi connections are present) rather than through 3G?
This is really important since it seems to have cost me a fortune, when I could have been browsing for free at home. I have the X10mini pro and am running Android 2.1
I downloaded the "Tone Picker" app to use my mp3's as a message tone and once I selected a tune my x10 no longer plays anything when I receive a msg. I uninstalled the app, switched the phone off but it still doesn't make a sound when a new msg comes through.Does anyone know a way to fix this without me having to reset to manufacturer settings?

Have always been a Sony/Sony Ericsson fan, so hope to come to a "better than satisfied" feeling, so that I can feel good about my choice.Anyway, the one thing that is really getting under my skin is how many clicks/touches it takes to make a regular call. Even using starred contacts as a shortcut on the homescreen is really clunky and way, way worse for non-starred contacts. I love the direct dial shortcut too, but, as I say, I'm more concerned about those contacts you wouldn't bother to star or shortcut.I'd be really interested and grateful to hear how other users have set up to make a call starting from homescreen with the fewest number of clicks possible.
View 17 Replies View RelatedJust got the mobile 3 days back.I am unable to make or receive calls on X10 from yesterday. Have tried the following things : 1) Switching Off 2) Updating the software. But both these methods have not helped. Able to use WAP/GPRS but calls are not getting connected. Have tried to change the call waiting settings, phone says Network or Sim Card Error.Signal strength is also pretty decent (3-4 bars). I have tried my sim in other phones Nokia, Samsung, and it works perfectly fine.Have tried other sims on X10 and they too are showing the same error. Can't figure out what the problem is?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter a couple of days the phone is unable to make or receive calls, or send or receive txt messages.If I try and make a call it attempts to start the call, but immediately comes back with unavailable. Incoming calls go straight to voicemail. Outgoing txt messages don't work. What is strange is that if I try and browse the web (over 3G) then that works fine! I have tried doing a network scan again, and reregistering to Tmobile, but that doesn't make a difference.
If I turn the phone off and on again, then it is fine and all calls/txts are working again. I have seen this 4 times now with my phone. It doesn't always happen, but it has happened a few times now which is worrying. The annoying thing is that you obviously don't know when incoming calls stop. You only find out the problem has occured when you attempt to make a call or send a TXT.
Ive had my phone for 10 weeks, no probs at all, brilliant little thing until now. Am unable to call anyone, or send texts, but i do have internet access? Have turned phone off, removed sim etc but nothing! The battery is charged and i have a good signal

I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
