What would be the easiest way of syncing everything on my Xperia X10? I have read some advice on the SE website but I am unsure whether what they suggest includes absolutely everything on my phone, i.e. software from the Andriod Market, music, pictures, etc.

My first SE phone was the venerable T61d GAIT phone. I've owned perhaps a dozen SE phones over the years and they have all been stellar, sturdy, feature-packed devices. But after the Xperia x10 experience, I will be extremely unlikely to purchase another SE phone. Nobody not AT&T and not SE Customer Service can explain why the rest of the world already has the 2.1 Android update, but AT&T/America does not. SE also can't explain how it forgot to include contact sync into a "smart" phone. Heck, my very basic T61d phone could sync contacts SE can't explain the so-so earpiece volume (I usually have to talk on speakerphone on this device). They can't explain why the touch screen is so in accurate (it's hard to type the letter "p" since the digitizer usually picks "o" instead). The Xperian x10 is a VERY flawed device. I feel like I really wasted my money.

I really need to type Chinese and Japanese and found that there's no such input method. However, I can view my SMS and mails in other languages through side panels. Is this a big mistake?

I use mine for work and sync up no problem using Moxier with my corporate exchange server.I want to also setup my personal email using another program. I have tried the stock email program (underwhelming) and K9. I cant get either one to sync with my outlook. I can set up my email address in them, and as long as my outlook on my home PC is closed I can receive emails. As soon as it is opened, emails arrive on the PC and do not show up on my phone.What am I missing? What is the terminology for what I want to do? I am running Outlook 2003, and I dont really use calendar or other functions but I want both our phones ad PC to all e in sync mail wise.

When I started it, it brought me to a Sony website where I can store and sync contact's, calendar and a bunch of things. So it looked pretty interesting and it is free, part of the X10 package, or is it? Well it appears AT&T has stripped that option out of our phones as there is No SE Sync option in the sync section of our settings. Even if we follow the directions to do it, still no joy.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI just received my X10 yesterday and had no trouble syncing gmail, google calendar, and google contacts last night.
This morning I decided to clean up my contacts in the web browser on my laptop since there were lots of duplicates and some names were first + last and some were last, first. I just wanted some consistency. So I spent a consderable amount of time doing that. Now they're clean in the web browser.
The problem is that now I can't sync them to my phone. I've tried countless times, and the little symbol spins, but then nothing is changed once the sync is finished.
The only contact that appears in the phone book is my own number. I've also tried powering off the phone, turning off automatic syncing, and logging out of gmail on the laptop.
Just had to reset phone due to issues and guess what i get different one this time.
My sync wont work with sony soft ware due to email not existing to a current account or pass word is wrong, Niether are due to I can log in via my pc no problems
My second new issue since the so called up date is my wifi keep looseing it connection and unable to connect again even though the passwords not change and the single strength still the same.
My point is are othe people having similar issue and is sony aware and will the soft ware update pos when ever they are going IF going to happen pos sort this out.
Is there a way to install or change the method of unlocking the handset when it times out, i dont really like the swipe method that you have to do at the moment? Are there any other unlock apps you can install?

I have recently purchased sony xperia X10 (android operating system). I want to get it sync with Microsoft Exchange 2007. The problem i faced was wen i synced my phone with my goggle account and imported contacts from a vcf file that i had backed up earlier, all my contacts have same phone number multiple times. I have disabled syncing goggle contacts, disabled showing goggle contacts and just the phone contacts to show... but of i edit a contact and select the option of split contacts.

The emails will initially update after reboot, but won't update again until the next reboot. So I got the new evo and I checked the software number and I have 1.32.651.6. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone is currently rooted and it was done using unrEVOked. I did not apply any custom ROMS; the only change I made was moving the Amazon and VZ Navigator apps. I selected the option to reboot and install the update when I was prompted to do so, but it just became stuck at a screen that said "Rebooting..." and it never changed. I powered it off and then back on, but the update never applied. I have not been prompted to install the update since then. I would like to apply the November update using the easiest method. If I have to unroot it, I don't care because root access isn't that important to me. I have read these instructions, but they're incomplete as they don't show you how to actually perform the steps listed, specifically step #1

View 8 Replies View RelatedI was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?
I have been reading myself in circles & am a bit confused on which way to go. I am enjoying the Evo but I would like the wireless tether. I guess there are other rooted things in the future I could install but the big draw for me is replacing my wmwifirouter on my WM device on my Evo.
I just don't know what the downsides are for one over other other. I think that Fresh has tethering already built in but I don't know if there are issues with the SD card or other items. Or should I just get the stock ROM that is rooted over at XDA?
