Is there a way to install or change the method of unlocking the handset when it times out, i dont really like the swipe method that you have to do at the moment? Are there any other unlock apps you can install?

I hate the default swipe of the x10 and want to install a different one. I have lock 2.0 which is great however it doesnt remove the default swipe. Does anyone know how to disable the default lock swipe?

View 20 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to change the direction of the unlock arrow? I use my phone in my left hand so it would be much more handy to use the phone if I could change the direction of the arrow. Currently the arrow goes from bottom left side of screen to the middle right side and this causes me to have to use both hands to use the phone even to do the simplest of tasks.
I want to be able to have the unlock arrow go from the bottom right side of the screen to the middle left side. This option would be a more normal flowing one handed function for me.
Is there an option for this? I have tried to find it and can not see it anywhere. I sure hope this can be changed because this is becoming very anoying. I like the swoop idea and think it could be handy and better than my old iPhone option but I need the direction change.
Im currently using Handcent SMS for my texts but just one thing that bugs me, is there any way of disabling receiving 2 texts when you receive one, what I mean is one goes into Handcent SMS and the other goes into the normal SMS inbox??? Is there a way to stop this??

Basically, the story goes as follows...normally when I receive a call I have to do that swipe thing to accept the call, however, at very random times instead of the swipe I get the option of pressing 'Accept Call' or 'Decline Call' which are displayed on the lower part of the screen side-by-side. Now, to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the latter option but do not know why it is so random. To be clear, I have never updated my phone since I got it and I have searched the settings but not been able to locate anything which would explain this.

My latest problem concerns the slider - its actually stuck on the setting for left handed people which isn't convenient for me being right handed and before any of you mention that it can be changed - it can't in my case.
For some reason whenever i try and grab it to switch it back in the position for right handed users - nothing happens! Ive turned my phone on/off, taken the battery out and even charged it to see if it makes any difference.
Will I still be able to use the Arc shaped unlock bar if I update to 2.1?Its kinda silly but one of the reason why I got the X10 is because I hated the bar unlock from my iphone.
