No flash and pictures can be very difficult to take with blurring happening more times than not. One of the main reasons I choose the X10 over other devices was the promise of a brilliant camera. Sony Ericsson, can you give us any information on future updates to the camera, eg wil we ever get the flash that you promised in a 'future update' and will you ever increase the screen colours? HD video recording is a great start (I'm yet to try it out as the update isn't available to me yet), but please bring the camera up to the quality I've experienced with previous SE devices

I can get the light to come on in video mode but just want to use as flash.
Is there an app out there or am I just stuck with crappy camera that cant take pics at night.
Will the android version 2.1 update provide the X10 a proper flash LED when taking photo's? Currently, it's somewhat cumbersome to go all the way into settings to turn on the LED light (that stays on until you turn it off) just to take a well lit photo. So I'm just wondering will the LED flash on the new OS update provide the automatic LED flash?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy last phone was a Nokia N86 8MP. Like the x10, it to had a 8.1 MP camera. Unlike the x10, the images on the Nokia seemed a little clearer, but what really sets the Nokia's camera apart from the x10's is the flash. I recently tried taking a photo with the x10 in a dark room, although the photo light seemed bright, you couldn't see anything past 5 ft, the same applies in video mode. With the Nokia that was never a problem, the flash was bright enough to light up the entire room and so was the video light. I suggest, if it's legally possible, SE have it's testers look at the Nokia N86 8MP and borrow, if not improve upon their camera, flash and video setup.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had mine X10i over 4 months now, no matter how I updated the version or reset the device back to factory default, the WiFi still did not work properly unless I re-start the device. The WiFi only can be turn on is when the device just turned on. If the WiFi connection got disconnected or was being turned off, then it can NEVER be connect it back or NEVER can be turn back on. This is killing me that I have to at least re-start my phone twice a day. Another thing is that if I don't turn on my WiFi at the time the device was turned on, then I never could be able to turn on the WiFi again. What is the issue with this function?

When I try to log in to the SE sync function on the phone, the phone is telling me that I have used an "invalid username/password". I have used exactly yhe same as I used tio log in to the site on the computer, and I have checked it a few times, but it doesn't want to accept it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy alarm clock sometimes decides to snooze for an hour and 10 mins rather than 10 mins. I nearly missed work on Friday, what is going on!? I waited a long time for the X10 mini to come out and admit that I am a little dissappointed. I've had a SE W580i until recently and I am finding that there are a lot of basic things that my old phone could handle but my new one seems to struggle with.I have used my phone alarm as my only alarm clock for at least the last 5 years. I really struggle to get up in the morning and if I turn the alarm off, I'll fall straight back to sleep again, therefore I rely heavily on the phone's snooze function to wake me up eventually after going off a few times. I was initially dissappointed that you cannot personalise the snooze duration on the x10 mini, the 10 mins is usually ok for me but in certain situations I prefer to shorten it. Please consider including this in the next software update, Sony Ericsson!
But the pressing problem is the (massively) extended snooze. It happens every few days and seems to be quite random. The first few times I hit the snooze button, it works as normal. A picture of an alarm clock comes up showing the time, and a white segment of clock face is highlighted indicating how long the snooze is for (10 mins) and when it will next go off. Then, I stir due to some disturbance outside, notice that the sun is definitely brighter than it was when I was last awake, grab my phone in a panic and realise that I have been sleeping for 20 mins since the alarm last went off, and that I have less than 7 mins to get up, dressed, packed and on the bus or I will be late for work. Meanwhile my phone is cheerfully still displaying the clock face with the white segment showing that I have 40 mins left to snooze and all is well. I didn't even know it was possible for this phone to snooze for anything other than 10 mins. Unfortunately I am asleep whenever this has happened and I'm not sure how I've done it.
I have tried setting the alarm when awake and then pressing various buttons, tapping the screen in various places, even pressing and holding the snooze button or swiping it. Most of these actions do nothing and the only way to stop the alarm is to slide to turn off or press the snooze button. My theory as to what is happening is that the phone snoozes for the normal 10 mins, but then when it reaches the time to go off again, it fails to go off and then the snooze time is displayed as 50 minutes (until it reaches that time again for the next hour). I think the white segment does initially show the 10 mins, I've started checking when I hit the snooze button after it happened a few times, but I might be doing something different in my sleep somehow.

I currently have an old Nokia N96 so any modern phone will be an upgrade, however I need to mae sure that the new phone has at least the same quality camer and video recorder as my N96. I had almost set my self on the Iphone 4 but luckily I waited an what a good choice that was with all the problems the iphone 4 is having. So yet again I started looking and have always liked the x10 because of its build and camera but hated it because of it having old 1.6 android and no hd recording or flash. Then suddenly I read the somone has managed to root the x10 and so im guessing that it wont be long until 2.2 with flash and hd recording and multitouch is released ?
