Aug 9, 2010There are several applications (e.g. Yahoo! Mail client) which I cannot find in Android market although I know they exist. I have an X10 mini pro with Telia subscription. My college has an HTC also with Telia subscription and he gets other listings of apps on Android market.

Aug 21, 2010I have an issue with my new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro. Please find below the necessary information. I sincerely appreciate your help in debugging this problem.
Issue: Unable to access the Andriod market and other google applications pre installed in my phone.
Background:
1. I brought an new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro mobile phone.
2. I am a resident of India and I use the Airtel network.
3. I can connect my phone to the WiFi at home, and to the Mobile Office GPRS services provided by airtel.
4. I can browse internet when on GPRS or Wifi and I can also access facebook using the facebook for android apps.
5. I can acccess GMail via the email application and the web browser.
6. However, when I try accessing the Android market or the Gmail apps or GTalk - it asks me for a google login
Problem faced:
1. I give my google login, but I get a reply stating that the server is unreachable.
2. This therefore, prevents me from accessing the Android market
3. This also prevents me form effectively using the Google apps installed in the phone.
Steps Taken:
1. I have contacted Sony Xperia Technical support in India and the team was incapable and unable to effectively debug this issue.

Nov 29, 2010I downloaded some apps from Market. They all downloaded successfully but I cannot see them when i go to Menu and then click on the 'App' Icon. When i click on the 'App' Icon it says 'To add widgets open the vodafone shop and download your widgets' I already have the apps installed on the phone for sure, just need the shortcuts to appear under the 'App' button.

Jun 22, 2010Couple of days back I moved from a 910 to X10 with market app disabled as market is not available for UAE.I came to understand that if I want to install apps without market, I need a file manager like Astro. But then to install Astro, I need astro.The other alternative is to use the SDK. But the SDK route doesn't work, as the stock USB driver that comes with SDK does not support X10.

Sep 11, 2010i've blocked my phone via wrong patter entering few times and i found that too many ppl over the Internet had the same problem after phone blocking it request ID and password of google mail, but DOES NOT accept it and gives wrong pass error now i have my phone blocked and i want to have it back worked again WITHOUT factory reset coz i have much important info in there. how can i make it? ps this terrble issue should be fixed long time ago. i check soft updates via phone update function pereodicly but nothing found till now and phone still have the ability to lock forever!

Aug 6, 2010I have tried the task killer and that does not seem to stop the applications running. I find that everytime I open and application it I can not close it down it just runs in the background. I have tried force stop and that does not work so what is the answer?The more apps you have running the more it kills the battery life. Apple have released one for the iphone so I can not see it being a big problem to have one for the X10 users or I am missing a trick somewhere?

Nov 7, 2010I asked this on XDA and no one has replied so far, so I'll give this a shot here. And I thought this was worthy of its own thread cuz I was pretty clueless on where to go.
Ok, so I deleted the following things from my phone using Titanium Backup.
- Korean and Danish keyboards
- Moxier Mail
- Face Recognition
- Creatouch
- User Guide + User Guide Client
- Play Now
- Setup Guide
- TrackID
- everything Timescape (8 files in total) *ok, this seems to have screwed up my camera photos and won't read my SD card pictures or the pictures I had taken (except for 2 photos in total). If anyone has the original 8 files and can hook them up PLUS TUTORIAL ON HOW TO REINSTALL THEM, then that would be AWESOME! For some odd reason, I backed the files in Ti Backup, but they aren't showing anymore...so a heads up for people backing the core default files, be careful what you delete. Or are they stored somewhere else that I'm unaware of?*
Also, I'm really looking to get rid of "Voice Dialer" and "Office Suite". Anyone know if removing it will screw up any function of the phone?
