Couple of days back I moved from a 910 to X10 with market app disabled as market is not available for UAE.I came to understand that if I want to install apps without market, I need a file manager like Astro. But then to install Astro, I need astro.The other alternative is to use the SDK. But the SDK route doesn't work, as the stock USB driver that comes with SDK does not support X10.

I bought my xperia mini pro 2 weeks ago, and it never be able to install any applications.
There is no android market icon on home screen so i searched "android market" on internet and using internet browse version.
I can access android market (androidzoom?) and find applicatin, but it says " yo do not have permission to open this page. market://~~~(url)".
I can do nothing without applications...
Kindly give information of how i can install applications in my XPERIA X10 from PC.
I mean like PC suite any other installer is available or not.
I have no access to mobile internet in my location.
So i need an installer like PC suite.
it keep failed to download and install apps on my phone.?

When i click on the 'App' Icon it says 'To add widgets open the vodafone shop and download your widgets' I already have the apps installed on the phone for sure, just need the shortcuts to appear under the 'App' button.

i got a xperia x10 from wirefly couple weeks ago.It is a brand new phone everything goes pretty well. but one problem is i cant install any programs that i downloaded from other sites.The security is set to block the installation of applications not from Android Market.i did the research online and tried to clink setting--->application--->there are only two choices on there 1.manage application 2.development. I could not find the third choice,which it suppose to be "UNKNOWN SOURCE".

Issue: Unable to access the Andriod market and other google applications pre installed in my phone.
Background:
1. I brought an new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro mobile phone.
2. I am a resident of India and I use the Airtel network.
3. I can connect my phone to the WiFi at home, and to the Mobile Office GPRS services provided by airtel.
4. I can browse internet when on GPRS or Wifi and I can also access facebook using the facebook for android apps.
5. I can acccess GMail via the email application and the web browser.
6. However, when I try accessing the Android market or the Gmail apps or GTalk - it asks me for a google login
Problem faced:
1. I give my google login, but I get a reply stating that the server is unreachable.
2. This therefore, prevents me from accessing the Android market
3. This also prevents me form effectively using the Google apps installed in the phone.
Steps Taken:
1. I have contacted Sony Xperia Technical support in India and the team was incapable and unable to effectively debug this issue.
I have been trying to down load "beautiful widgets" since yesterday with no joy. It says purchased in the downloads but will not install. I have had confirmation of purchase by email. I downloaded random free ones for qurio and all ok but purchased one just wont load. Any ideas.

I turn off wifi (doesn't matter if I use extended controls or not) and the APN Control turns itself on, really quite annoying! Is there any way to fix this? The problem i faced was wen i synced my phone with my goggle account and imported contacts from a vcf file that i had backed up earlier, all my contacts have same phone number multiple times. I have disabled syncing goggle contacts, disabled showing goggle contacts and just the phone contacts to show... but of i edit a contact and select the option of split contacts.

The only thing that I can not figure our is that when I open up an application I don't know how to close them so I am left with multiples of Apps open at the same time. This seem to run the battery down really fast, but I can't seem to find any where or anybody that knows how to close the apps when I am finishes.
