I used both windows explorer and media go to copy video and photo files to my phone card. I can see them on the card but when i unmount and i search them on the phone i can't find them.
Is there a setting i'm missing?

I've been trying very hard to find out how to get all my contacts to go to my new phone from the SIM card. I've got 385 contacts in my SIM card according to my previous phone (SE K810i). However, only 250 contacts were transferrred.

When the phones visibility is on (form a poxy 120 secs) no other phone in my house can find it or send it any files etc. Is there a general problem with bluetooth on this phone that i am unaware of?

View 3 Replies View RelatedPlease bear with me as I am a recent convert to Android having been with Nokia and their Symbian system for years It's soooo outdated compared to Android I have been trying to install both the Swype beta apk & the HTC keyboard apk files onto my X10 for the last couple of days. I followed the instructions to get the file on my SD card and when I go to try and install it (using Astro) the phone keeps on asking me if I want to install it . I have the option in 'Unknown Sources' ticked to allow installs NOT from the market. I was going to format the SD card to see if that helps but I don't know if that will lose any system files vital to the phone. Strange thing is that the ADW Launcher installed fine and I didn't get that from the market.

So, the files are still there. Is there a way to show the folders and files, because testdisk renames all the files.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBecause of several issues with SE sync, I am trying to use Google sync instead. However, this is also not working as expected: I wished to have all my phone contacts transferred from the phone to Gmail contact list. I started with an empty Gmail contact list. I enabled Google sync as described on the SE website. I don't know exactly what it does, but I also enabled Settings -> Data synchro -> Gmail (perhaps related to my e-mails?)
Result: Calendar syncs without problem. Contacts do not transfer from phone to Gmail
Second trial: I created a new contact "A" on GmailI created a new contact "B" on the phoneI ran sync
Result: Contact "A" synced successfully from Gmail to phone. No sync of contact "B" from phone to Gmail.
Third trial: I modified contact "A" on the phoneI ran sync
Result: The modification done on the phone did not sync to Gmail
Hints from the phone: When I try using Google sync for calendar, the sync icon shows for some seconds, before the date of last sync is updated. All ok. When I try using Google sync for contacts, the sync icon shows for 5-15 minutes. It then disappears, but no date of last sync is added. When I check the contact list, contacts have been synced from Gmail, but not to Gmail.
When I select Settings -> Data synchro -> Gmail, the sync icon blinks for some seconds with a yellow warning triangle. I don't know if this is related to my Gmail e-mails. The e-mails in the Gmail app are loaded without problem.I have already tried going to "manage application" and clear data for "Gmail" and "Gmail storage". I should probably mention that I synced my phone contacts with Gmail some months ago, without problems. This means that my Gmail contact list was not empty when I started messing with this. However, on my first sync attempt, contact lists on the phone and on Gmail were not synced. Instead, all Gmail contacts were added to the phone, causing 95% duplicate entries. I exported my Gmail contacts, deleted the entire Gmail contact list, and synced again to remove duplicate entries from the phone. Then started the process above. I would rather avoid deleting all the contacts from the phone to reload them from Gmail or SE sync, because addresses, facebook/twitter connections, etc. do not sync well.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a new card and after transfering the files (which takes forever) the files are not there. on one occasion i transfered the files then inserted the card into my evo and then the music player says the file is not playable then the files seem to disappear. i am new to microsd cards but not new to pc hardware and software. to me i view the new evo as almost a mini laptop with a phone built in.
the damn phone does everything and is my first and probably last cell phone. about the card though, i formated it with my pc (windows 7) with the multimedia card reader built in. and had no luck with this issue then... i formatted the card with the phone and still no change. it is like the files just disappear
I am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link).Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI dunno, After using the SE Satio and C905, those cameras are MUCH better than this one, Considering those were so great I was positive this one was going to be excellent! Its definitely not bad, but for an 8mp camera its not that great, Its like the W995, it has an 8mp camera on it and its WAY under par, does NOT take good pictures. Anyway Im not really disappointed or anything I just found it a bit under-par, Im willing to bet that the 5mp camera on the Galaxy S will be better than this one, The BEST cameras on cell phones Ive ever used are the Omnia HD and the Satio.
Also Something Ive noticed about all the android phones Ive used, the way they take pictures is.....awkward. Its hard to explain but when I used the satio and C905, they way they took pictures it felt like a real camera, Ive used the Hero, N1, and now X10 and they way they shoot the pics it just doesn't feel the same, again hard to explain without you using so....
Following on from the "autolock after phone calls" discussion thread which did not seem to get resolved, I heard that Dialer One was a neat dialer than the built in X10 dialer (and hopefully does not autolock after phone calls), but I could not find it anywhere in the market. Would anyone know where I can find the APK to download?

I have been trying to root it for sometime now, but every time i try to, the process never works because my computer can't detect. I changed usb ports and changed my "path" settings. When i run regetid it finds the usb port, but the device i.d. is incorrect (when i go to root, it still won't find the device.) Don't know what else to do. Anybody got anything?
