Just upgraded my wifes X10 mini (unbranded UK version) using the SE PC Compaion. Followed all instructions etc, but its now stuck in a boot loop, restarting just after the full screen coloured animation "spins" into the SE logo and text.

last night i rooted my phone and it was perfect but today i saw an video on youtube showing how to make status bar transperent like android 4.4 in that video he said it is a app runs on rooted device .the app name was framework some thing like that i opened that app and clicked on frame work it ask me to grant root access i gave it and clicked on install/update and first time it restarted after restarting it once again i opened that app and did the same process .then thhe output was successfully created new partition and restarted and got stuck on boot loop and i cannot do any thing when i connect it to pc for pc companion the pc is not recognising the device.
View 14 Replies View Relatedi have a brand-new x10 mini that appears to be stuck in a loop. it boots up fine until i get the "data traffic enabled" message in the notification bar and then the phone freezes. sometimes the time continues to update normally but the phone is completely unresponsive, sometimes the phone restarts itself. if i press the power button and the centre button, the phone reboots but gets stuck in the same cycle. i have installed the companion software and the phone is detected but cannot connect i have also tried another 02 sim (the phone is locked to o2) without success.

After upgrade to 2.1 when i am going to "Manage Applications" I am seeing only those apps that I have installed unlike before (1.6) where I could see all the installed apps like google apps, default games etc. Where can I find these apps (in case I want to clear cache or something like this)?

Android systems is ready to release the next version of the OS: Gingerbread (v 3.0) while we still use the crappy 1.6 base version. I have updated my X10 mini to Android 2.1.Every thing seems working fine except the Android Market app.I can search, and browse Android Market.But I am failing to download ANY app from the Market.The download icon does appear; but after a while it says "download paused".I searched through different forums and found that one very common suggestion is to boot the phone by pressing "Power" and "Home" key.No luck by booting either. Can some one please suggest some remedy for the problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere was an upgrade which installed all Vodafone 360 apps on my xperia x10 mini. From that moment on my email app is not working anymore. Everytime I start the app it comes up with greyed out account and password field. I can not setup the account I had setup before. The user field says "null@vodafone.ie". I looked around in the settings trying to find a solution and found that the Baseband version is "Unknown". I need urgently a fix for this as I need the email for work.
I tried PC companion to upgrade/downgrade but when the upgrade engine starts it comes up with an error that it can not be started and I should contact Sony Ericson.
SEUS so worked fine for me, but did not resolve my problem. Looking forward hearing from you. they pop up from within this
I have been trying to update from 1.6 to 2.1 these last few days. Depending on the USB port I either get an error when PC Companion, or Update Service is in the preparation stage, something like: All components needed to continue could not be found. Or I get to the stage when you turn off the phone and restart it with the backbutton pressed which leads to XP wanting to find drivers for SEMC usb flash. By looking through other communities I found those drivers could be found in: C:Program Files (x86)Sony EricssonUpdate ServicesetupdriversUSBFlashDriver.zip. I could initually install those to one USB port, but when trying to download the update through Update Service I get yet another error that the task could not be completed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone looks like a tiny brick now. I can't reset it, I can't upgrade/fix/repair because it's stuck at the SE logo. It happened after internet browsing I've been prompted to forcefully close the browser, then later on it wants me to close the SE home app, then finally it's reset and I can only see until the SE logo.
I tried removing the battery for more than 10 secs, pluggin the usb cable while pressing back - still can't connect to pc. I tried holding down power+home, nothing.
Is there a hard reset button somewhere I can use? I'd rather reset everything with all my data than send it over to SE support since that means it'll take weeks with no phone.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
When I got the phone I had to turn off the SMS delivery receipts due to getting charged for each one.....I did the upgrade yesterday and now its turned back on again.....I cant find the Phone's message settings. in the right direction? I have a X10 mini pro.

Interestingly it connects to wiki in my school network. At home, it scans, finds the network, says "connecting" and goes to "Disconnected" status. Setting static IP does not work, selecting Wifi network and Connect does not work.

But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.
xperia mini can't send messages to multiple recipients what gives?

It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.

Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!
