After installing 2.1 when ever I try and run Market I get the following error:
The application Market (Pprocess com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. All I can do is force close. If you go to manage applications it is not there so I can not clear cache etc.

I was looking at a Samsung phone today that had a Live Wallpaper that I really liked. It's called Ocean Waves and it's like you are looking through water down into a sandy ocean floor. Nice reflecting light and ripple patterns. So I checked out the Market but I couldn't find it however did I did find it at another site and I was able to download it. The file is a Zip file which contains several folders and individual files. Could someone tell me how to install these files so that I can add this to my LiveWallpaper library? I have installed the Zip file in the download folder of my SD card.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have another doubt on how to install the apps. As my handset is missing the Android Market icon in my mobile. So I downloaded to my pc and then copied to my mobile. This "7c02815a-e245-102d-a194-6ec07c99d928.apk" file for bluetooth file transfer and using data cable. I copied that file in my video folder (for self knowing folder I pasted) now I don't see that file in my mobile video folder. So how will I install? There are no icons like "Android Market", "Installer Application", or "Application Installer" etc. I am using Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini pro and 1.6 firmware.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAnyone ever had this happen? Downloaded an update after the 2.1 upgrade and I sync'd my contacts with FB. It then deleted all of my contacts.So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops. It just stays on Installing.However, the FB app works fine on the phone itself.Is this a Market glitch? Is there anyway I can purge it from out of my downloads section?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy X8 is continuously crashing *randomly*. I clocked it a few times and it ran from one hour to four or less than five minutes and restarts. I have FroyoBread on my X8.
Things I already did-
1.I thought it was a virus so uninstalled most apps and removed SD card. Using xRecovery I even deleted cache and local files (includeing data reset).
2.Got rid of FroyoBread and flashed X8 ROM back onto the device. Same problem.
3.Got rid of Memory Card.
4.Reflashed. Installed FroyoBread again. Checked settings. This time, it started crashing once I tried to connect to the Internet.
5.Checked the forums already, people have similar problems, but no solutions.
Note: My phone ISN'T getting stuck at the load screen.
My phone IS ROOTED.
I DID try UNROOTING. The problem still persists.
I want to know if it is possible to install applications in the X10 downloaded from the internet with a PC. I do not have internet connection from my mobile and I would like to install some applications on it, but the only way explained in the manual is using the market and I can not use it.

I could access it on 1.6 software (there would be those 2 arrows one on up on on down) and now I can't get that connection again. And one more question, how come that I'm not visible on Bluetooth at all and I can't send any data over bluetooth, or at least receive.

Very irritating information pop up box that will stay there smack in the middle of the screen even after clicking the "ok" box. This phone is a real lemon. flashed my phone, using SEUS, to 2.1.
Since then, Pc companion keeps poping me a warning message that I should update to latest version.
I click UPDATE NOW and then : another popup saying UPDATE FAILED.
I uninstal, reboot and d/l and install latest version from SE site. Install completes 100% succesfull.
Run the software and BAM ! popup telling that I should update to latest version.
I click on UPDATE NOW and UPDATE FAILED popup again.
at this point, no other choice are given to me. UPDATE NOW or QUIT SOFTWARE.
I also tried differents variable like uninstalling, reboot, connect phone and installing version in the phone.
This option let me run PC companion a while but after a short while, **** UPDATE POPUP show up and I can't do anything with it.
I just bought the Xperia X10 its running on android 1.6 and I can't find the market application.

Here is what I do:
I select the app I want from Market and select 'Install'
Then I select 'ok'
Then a blue box reads 'Your item will be downloaded'
When I go into the Downloads section, the status bar isnt doing anything and it reads 'starting download' below it.
But nothing ever downloads or even partially downloads.
Is Their another place I can get apps and games from other than the market if so are they better or worse? I see games my m8 got on his iPhone and they are a lot better than any game I've seen on the market, what is the risk if I download from a different source?
