Anyone else not able to update or download anything from the market? been like this for a day or so now. I know last time i deleted the cache or something and it worked again.

I have alot (and I mean ALOT) of apps on my Xperia, so I get around 5 app updates a day, which is now starting to agitate me because most of them are the same apps everyday needing updates.
Today I heard about an update for the market that includes an auto update feature for installed apps. But I, like many others, do not see this option on the market.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it? or if I can't get it, when can I?
i have an xperia x10 and i was very happy with it until y reset it now i cant find app that i could find before the reset and i think it is because the update, what should i do? An example is the sniper shot app i was very happy with it and now i cant find it on android, and now i have to install all apps using Astro and its very boring.

View 16 Replies View RelatedAlmost all major smartphones that have similar specs with the X10 are getting the Froyo 2.2 update treatment in the coming few weeks or in the pipeline and it's amazing that you are still sitting on this with regards to the possibility of this particular update. I hope you do realise that the company are losing customers fast and this will be killing the business as you are effectively flogging phones that are all out of date or not in keeping with the market. I only hope that the news will inevitably put some pressure on you to bring forward these updates including the 2.2 (only if...). The 2.1 update plan at the end of Q3 or beginning of Q4 and with no definitive answer whether the X10 is going to receive the 2.2 update in the future is just not good enough. Unless the 2.2 update comes in early Q4 which is highly unlikely with the way things are going if you are only going to release 2.1 then, it would be pointless.
It's no brainer to release 2.2 straightaway as opposed to the 2.1 update announced and with further updates to tweak the Timescape and Mediascape later on if they are the ones that are holding up the release of the 2.2 update. I am sick of being left in the dark with the 2.2 update. I want a definitive answer if this is going to happen OR NOT! SE's handling of this fast and competitive market is just inept and way to slow. It won't surprise me that you could be following Nokia's footsteps in the next financial year if the current situation continues. I want a phone that comes with the right support and updates it deserves (not out of date within 3 month period!). I am now thinking that perhaps I should get the Samsung Galaxy S instead. SE, please listen to the customers and take action to address what your loyal customers want and deserve.
Today, when I connected the phone (SE Xperia x10i) to PC, I was shown 'update available'. I updated. All worked well, but the Market is not working after the update, nor is the browser. The market is showing 'loading' with terms and conditions (it is more than 3 hours now), while in the browser, only the Google homepage is opening.
No other site or Search option in Google is working. However, other widgets like Facebook, G mail or email is working fine. The phone is showing to be 'up to date'. I have accessed the market quite a number of times before the update & require some apps from it urgently.
I am unable to download and update free apps from the Android Market on my Xperia X10 since the last 15-20 days. Can anyone help me with this problem? I am facing a lot of issues due to non-availability of many already installed apps and also I am unable to download and use new apps.

Here is what I do:
I select the app I want from Market and select 'Install'
Then I select 'ok'
Then a blue box reads 'Your item will be downloaded'
When I go into the Downloads section, the status bar isnt doing anything and it reads 'starting download' below it.
But nothing ever downloads or even partially downloads.
Is Their another place I can get apps and games from other than the market if so are they better or worse? I see games my m8 got on his iPhone and they are a lot better than any game I've seen on the market, what is the risk if I download from a different source?
