View 4 Replies View RelatedI have used SE handsets for over 15 years now and never felt the need to seek assistance until now. The x10 mini is driving me mad. I have just upgraded to it on orange. Where has all the functionality for using it as a phone gone? I was extremely embrassed when I was trying to send details of a contact from my address book to my friends HTC handset and failed. No bluetooth file transfer and no ability to send contacts via sms. This so much functionality missing from basic functions: speed dialing from the number pad for example, that I am seriously thinking about giving it back to orange. There are lots of new functions and apps such as WiFi and GPS, maps etc but there is not enough battery life to make them useful in real life situations. I found the old UI on W890i much more polished with lovely touchs on the media player and photo albums. Is android all it is cracked to be?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I save contacts to the memory card I get a file named 00001.vcf. When I open this file in outlook it seems to contain only the first of all my contacts. Can I open this file in another way to get all my contacts? Is it possible to import all my contacts to Pc Companion? When I syncronize the phone with this program I only get the bookmarks exported from the phone to the program. No contact is exported. I have already lost my contacts once and will be sure that I have saved them correctly.

I can't see a thing though, but if I write a text I can write a name and details will pop up? What happens?
So I can type a name in ph-no and details come up, but I can't choose the Contact itself ?

I have all my contacts saved in international fomrat but the x10 mini does not recognise the number when I get call from a saved contact (number is coming in in national format). whats the story here.
anyway arround saving numbers in national and international format for the same contact?
I have upgraded the SD card in my phone to 4gb and now I have also lost all of my contacts Last week I lost the ability to download/update anything from Market and now this! I have used the option to copy all my contact from the SIM card and that doesn't work AND the SE sync will not work either, and just constantly fails to complete synchronization.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI activate timescape and it took all my facebook contacts and put it in the address book of my phone, and now i can not see my Sim contacts. how can I undo this, I already turn off facebook in timescape, maybe i should delete it for now as i don't use it, i like to keep my phone contact separate from facebook and access facebook only when i need it. and now i can't configure personal ring for the people i have in my phone book, because it took all the facebook information and its with timescape and doesn't have an option to set a ring for the contact in edit part i just can add it to favorites o delete contact. and i still can not see my Sim contacts they are somewhere because when i tap a name in search bar it shows me the contact and phone, but I'd like to see what i have. i already export my contact from Sim to phone but they still don't show.

The problem i faced was wen i synced my phone with my goggle account and imported contacts from a vcf file that i had backed up earlier, all my contacts have same phone number multiple times. I have disabled syncing goggle contacts, disabled showing goggle contacts and just the phone contacts to show... but of i edit a contact and select the option of split contacts.

Did two different bacups, and I am positive that I did backup of contacts. Also did a bacup of all contacts on my online account at sonyericsson.com Did an upgrade of android 1.6 -> 2.1. I ran restore. Everythinge else is restored, just not one single Name or Number. No contacts. Tried both bacups several times, I get a confirmation that the restore is done. Still nothing. Hooked it up to my PC, and performed a sync with my page on sonyericsson.com. Nothing. I am at a loss. It's always a small disaster to loose all numbers and names. I still have them all, I just can't get my phone to give a ****, it seems. ( Also tried installing the new Backup & Restore (1. Nov), m.sonyericsson.com/backup, but it gives me the message "not installed" every time i try. Nothing more. I think maybe it's because I might allready have that program on my phone).

I can search for names in messaging and everyone from my phone contacts, to my facebook friends and even Fearne cotton from twitter is there! I would like just my phone contacts visible in my phone book. I've tried to back up contacts from before the software update yesterday, and it takes ages to get through to 100% but the names are still missing.

It tries for like 5 sec then says "there is a problem with sync, it should work soon, try again" or something like that.�
Now this HAS worked before, even after I updated to 2.1, but now it just wont.�
Think its a great way to keep a backup of the contacts.�
Manual sync for Gmail in the same menu works fine.
When I click on the touch screen to make a call and want to quickly find a name in the contacts I have to type in the name onle letter (and a few presses) at a time or open the keyboard. I can't select the 'quick text' option.
