Samsung I7500 :: No Market - 3G Not Working?

I got a brand new, unlocked Samsung Galaxy about a week and a half ago. I had two immediate problems with the phone:
1. No Market
2. 3G didn't seem to be working
I fixed the lack of Market problem by upgrading to the H7 firmware. I was hoping this would also fix the 2nd problem, but it hasn't. I've also tried getting a new SIM card from AT&T, and this hasn't seemed to work either.
Obviously I may end up having to call Samsung USA at some point and request a fix, but not only might that mean I have to live without the phone for a long time, I have no idea if Samsung USA will even want to help me since I bought it 3rd-party unlocked and it isn't even officially in the states yet.
So if anyone has some ideas, that'd be appreciated. (And yes, the "Use only 2g networks" setting is unchecked)

I'm new to this, but when I look in Market I sometimes can't find certain apps. Was just looking for Where (where.com) a good travel app and it's not in there. Also when I install Yelp, it installs but immediately closes when I try to launch.
Is this a canada thing or what? Is the firmware so old that these phones are useless?

Just downloaded snap photo pro which I bought prior to upgrading to H7 and couldn't access in market again until today.
I also searched for eBuddy which I couldn't see in the market before and now I can.
I'm in the UK using a German galaxy with the H8 firmware.

I seem to have a bit of difficulty with the market (ever since using Market Enabler). All the apps I choose to download just sit at "Starting Download" until I turn wifi off and on and reconnect to my network. Has anyone else experienced this?I've tried switching fake carriers a few times, which I seem to need to do anyway, cuz paid apps seem to disappear after a while.

I want to see paid apps in but can only see free apps in the market - not a mix, only free apps. Is anyone else having this problem?I searched the other topics, but most of them talked about how they can't see certain paid apps, but I can't see any.I am in Canada and bought my phone from UK (O2). I'm using wi-fi to access the market, which confuses me even more because the operator codes don't even come into play with this.

I've been reading how to get more memory thread where is suggested to run clearapps.sh script in order to remove unnecesarry applications on a great Galaxo ROM. I was wondering, is it possible that MarketEnabler depends on some of those apps, because after running the script, it fails to either restore settings from backup or set different provider. There is no force-close or freeze. It just pops up "working" box for indefinite time period without progres bar filling (I waited several minutes). The infobox can be easily discarded with the back button.

Tried to get on the Android Market this morning - say about 2, 3 hours ago till now, but all it gives is "Network error, please retry" sort of prompt. Tried it with both 3G and wifi but the same error still pops up. Restarted my phone, no joy.
The data connections (3G and wifi) do work, I verified by checking my email and tweeting. So is the android market down, or is it just my phone acting up?

I installed Galaxo 1.6.3.4 a couple of days ago and since I'm a happy person! It's really a different phone.
Today when reading an article on the new google maps innovation (Walking Navigation, Street View), which are available with Google Maps 4.5, I tried finding them on the market and couldn't. I then realized I can't see any paid apps on the market after my Galaxo installation.
(I also noticed that the Google maps version with galaxo is 3.3)
So I've got two questions:
1) How can I "free" my market?
2) How can I install Google Maps 4.5 with the two gadgets above?

Since JC6 is a leaked fw I don't think Google will whitelist it so all apps will be available in the market. I know that Galaxo 1.6.2 enables a full market but somehow I can't seem to do so in 'stock' JC6. I'm running stock JC6 with IH8 baseband.
I searched the threads on this matter and only thing that comes close is this post from Kam. Somehow I can't change the fingerprint without adb remount. Is busybox required to adb remount?
Anyway is there any way to enable full market in stock JC6 with IH8 baseband without having to install Galaxo?

Between looking around here and on androidzoom, I found a couple of apps I want. Problem when I use myphone to access the market, it says that they aren't there. Specifically, I am looking for Launcherpro beta and Adobe Reader. If I find them in androidzoom and scan the barcode its not there either. Short of rooting my phone to install market enabler, is there anything else I can do ?? Or are these not appearing because they won't run on 1.6 ?

So i downloaded Odin and "I7500XXII5-PDA-CL64494-REV5(VIA).tar" with the intention of overwting my providers startup ads and bloatware and saw in the instructions that I should delete the cache.img file in I7500XXII5-PDA-CL64494-REV5(VIA).tar. However when i did that and try to flash, odin reports: "Check image files!!"

My provider only permits me to connect to the internet via the web-browser. Only the web-browser works. I want to use the Android market, but it doesn't connect. Is there some sort of proxy I could use to get around this? I can connect to the market if I'm on my home WiFi, but not if I'm on my network GPRS.

Has anyone noticed problems with audible alerts not working? I can be sat in a quiet room in the middle of an email or SMS conversation and when I check the display there is visual notification of a new message but the phone hasn't made a sound.Completely maddening. If it continues I will return the phone as it is not fit for purpose.

I've had my phone for a while now but a few days ago some of the physical buttons stopped working. I'm not sure why but the home, call pick up, and camera buttons now no longer function. I'd have assumed this was a physical fault immediately, however when the screen is darkened (power save?) if I press any of the "failed" buttons then it will light up again! I'd be interested in knowing whether there are any diagnostic tools available for this also. Failing anything else I'll be phoning O2 to get phone replaced! I've updated to II4 via the NPS update and they are still broken.

It worked before and now stop, Asking the phone to do data sync to gmail emails, turn the sync sign on the status bar. and then the this sign hang there forever and the emails are not sync. I try with 2 kind of wifi + 3gp and nothing, my phone don't want to sync my emails. The strange thing is, when i ask the phone to sync my calender + contacts it's working ok. While asking to sync the emails it's hangs forever.

I tested it and it works - i can run opengl games fluently on my samsung galaxy now.
For those of you who can't read German: you can get opengl hardware acceleration working on the samsung galaxy on II5 and probably any other version by copying the libhgl.so from a htc G1 device.
Unfortunately the only way to legally do this is probably by owning a HTC device, but there are some HTC system/recovery images available for download, from the HTC website. Be sure to download the OTA image as it contains the files directly and you can just copy the libhgl.so file directly.
Root your phone, remount the /system filesystem as read/write, then copy the HTC libhgl.so to /system/lib/libhgl.so . Reboot phone.
Now you'll have openGL hardware acceleration!

Since I've installed MustyMod my GPS stopped working. The problem is, to be more precise, is that my Galaxy isn't seeing any satellites at all. When using an app like GPS Test, I can see that the GPS icon is flashing, and GPS status is on and everything seems to be in working order but no satellites are in view, even after hours of leaving the device in the open under clear sky.
At first I thought it was a bug in MustyMod, but then I installed Galaxo 1.6.2 and the problem remains. Any ideas? or did I somehow managed to brick my GPS?

Just installed Galaxo 1.6.3.4, everything works great, except that gprs/edge capabilities seem to be switched off? They used to work before the root. I can use wifi, but cannot get any data traffic outside wifi areas.

Just wondering if anyone has any idea about themes with Galaxo 1.6.3? I grabbed a theme from this site (which has a GREAT tutorial by the way), but whenever i try to install one, my phone will not boot following the update. I get a similar thing to if you have not restored GAPPS where the screen will just sit on the boot screen but go no further. I tried restoring GAPPS to see if that was somehow the issue, but not luck.

Till yesterday my phone was working well. But today i am not able hear any calls. I am receiving calls but not able to hear & same thing in other side. Even i am not able to hear the ringtone while dialing. Is there any problem with mike or settings. Also speaker in menu is not working while call.Had I uninstalled some root file. My firmware version is XXJB2.

Dont know if anyone else has this problem, but during a call my touchscreen turns off, the proximity sensor stops the screen lighting up but even if i dont put the phone to my head the touchscreen stops working.
Buttons still work and i have to use them to use the dial pad. Really annoying when you are trying to navigate automated menus etc as half the time it doesnt work as they pickup too much noise from using the buttons on the front.

Had a few days of use without issues, go to make a call yesterday and it takes ages to connect, but instead of connecting I get a beep and then it returns me to my contact list. Tried putting the phone in and out of flight mode by holding down the power button and selecting the flight mode option, the option turns grey after I press it, won't allow me to press it again and seemingly does nothing. Press the off option and turn the phone back on and it's fine. Now I reckon I had suffered this with earlier firmwares.

I've been listening music on my Samsung i7500 Galaxy with headset plugged to the device. After listening I've plugged headset out and now while I call to somebody I see there is a call on the device screen, but either me, either person whom I am calling to, doesn't hear the other person. While I plug headset again I can hear everything (on the headset), after another plug out problem still exist.
