Is there anyway to change where the Videos and Photos taken with the camera is stored. My phone is rooted and flashed with the JI2 firmware and also loaded with the Captivate camera app. Currently photos and videos are both being put in the Internal SD's "camera" folder under DCIM and I'd like to make videos be saved elsewhere.

I just installed Astro File Manager, and I can't find where the Eris stores photos taken with the camera. I have a folder called 'Photos' on my SD card, but that only has photos I copied to it from my PC. (so I could use them as wallpaper). When I use the Albums app, it lets me choose the Photos folder on my SD card, or a folder called 'Camera shots' with 29 photos in it (that I took with the Eris camera), but I don't see that folder anywhere with Astro , even when trying a file search.

Well I watched a few video reviews on the Captivate, and I noticed their camera software was different, the menus were layed out differently, and honestly they are better organized.You can switch scene modes with a button on the left side instead of drilling down into settings>page 2>scenes
The video recording is much better, it actually records as soon as you press the button instead of having to wait a few seconds before it starts recording. It also stops as soon as you hit stop with no delay or lag like there was on the stock software.Overall I think it improves an already awesome camera.Still has all the same camera modes and scene modes as the vibrant, so you won't be losing anything by flashing this
So I like to show my phone to other people and I want to really WOW them with some great HD pics and Videos/Movies/Video clips. Does anyone have any Photos or Videos that I can download that look great on the Captivate?

1.How do I set the phone to whenever I take pictures or download music it is saved to the SD card and not the phone memory?
2.How do I transfer photos from my PC to my Phone? I am trying to transfer some pictures to my phone to set as the background.
Is anyone else having this issue with the camera on the Vibrant? It's not drastic, but i notice that most of the pictures i take on me phone have a slight blur to them. It's especially noticeable when i load the pics onto my laptop.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI came from an HD2, and I used to take videos with it and upload directly to Youtube. Why cant the Vibrant do the same thing? I know it can be done (supposedly) via wifi, but thats stupid that I cant do it over 3g. So anyway, I took a video of my son, and wanted to UL it. Well, I set up my wifi, and it started. After a few seconds, it pauses and says something like waiting for wifi, retrying in 1 minute. then 2 mins, then it sometimes starts, sometimes climbs to 5 minutes. Eventually, it makes its way to 100% completed, but never succeeds. Always tells me "Network error, please try again". I tried literally 20 times last night to no avail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI plug my phone into my pc using the usb port then it doesnt do anything so I have to hit the drop down menu on the vibrant and click "mount phone" is that correct? then on my pc it bring up the menu where it says "open folder to view files" ..I do that and then I open the folder "dcim" which contains another folder that says "photos" and I open that and it shows my pictures that are on the phone...Then I take the pictures that I want on my pc to my phone and drag and drop them into that "photos" folder and they go in on the pc properly but when I go to my phone and try to open them they arent showing there.

I have not rooted, unlocked, etc. I can boot it into recovery mode volume/home/power, but before I try a hard reset, I'd like to get the photos and videos of my son's birthday off. I believe the default of those apps is to save to phone. I am able to connect to ADB, I think. Well, it connected to something.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...

1) I'm not a photographer
2) I used Vignette on the Evo 4G
3) I used both the Stock camera and Vignette for the Epic
4) The Epic pictures were taken while there was more sunlight out, the Evo was more in optimum lighting.
5) Neither has been retouched in any way
I also have 720p video shot with both phones, just don't know where to upload it yet.
I took a short video with my Incredible. I can see it fine on the phone, but I want to transfer it to my computer at home. I have mounted the phone and SD card on my computer (macbook, if that matters), and can explore the various files, but the video does not show up in any of the "video" folders. On the phone, when I open the video folder, I see my video plus a video podcast, but when the drives are open on the desktop, I can only find the podcast video.

There are sooo many ways to tinker the settings!!! What makes for the best quality pictures in indoor, low-light settings?
I always use my cell phone camera as my primary camera. I love my Vibrant, but the camera quality is really making me consider going to a different device.

I've taken these photos with the contacts app, using the camera, and they are the ones that appear when an incoming call is made. I'd like to change it so when I speed dial 1 it goes to google voice. I called TM and they said I should be able to change that setting. I installed a new SIM, and I removed TM's visual voice mail. Out of ideas here. I'd at least like to know if it's like this on all Vibrants or just some Vibrants.
