Oct 8, 2010I added a few videos to my Vibrant and they wont open and every time I click on one it says "No Application can perform this task".No matter if it is .avi .mp4 or anything...and when I open the video player it only shows avatar and the avatar trailer as videos.

Jul 25, 2010I don't know if this is TouchWiz/OEM software getting in the way, or a limitation of Android 2.1, or what. But when I try to upload a video I've taken, it's forcing me to upload using WiFi. My 3G connection is not too bad (approx. 75 kilobytes/sec), so I wouldn't mind waiting a couple minutes for a video to upload, versus buying a WiFi AP for home, setting it up, taking up space and electricity, etc.

All was done nicely and very natively.I have a unit here and I see no option to do such a thing. Sep 10, 2010My Vibrant just crashed with this message, "user fault not kernel panic upload mode". All I was doing was updating a word document using the application FREETHINK which comes with the phone. I pulled the battery out and restarted, and went to do the same thing I was trying to do before the crash and it crashed again.I looked this message up online using "google". There isn't much. People seem to think it has to do with GPS, and it seems like it's a reoccurring problem, which factory reset will not fix. I'm switched back to my Blackberry, incase that it does reoccur. And I will call T-Mobile I guess or maybe try restarting again, and see if it crashes again doing something different other than FREETHINK.Not panicking yet.Anyone else experiencing this problem?I hope it doesn't reoccur,I'll let you know.

Jul 29, 2010I came from an HD2, and I used to take videos with it and upload directly to Youtube. Why cant the Vibrant do the same thing? I know it can be done (supposedly) via wifi, but thats stupid that I cant do it over 3g. So anyway, I took a video of my son, and wanted to UL it. Well, I set up my wifi, and it started. After a few seconds, it pauses and says something like waiting for wifi, retrying in 1 minute. then 2 mins, then it sometimes starts, sometimes climbs to 5 minutes. Eventually, it makes its way to 100% completed, but never succeeds. Always tells me "Network error, please try again". I tried literally 20 times last night to no avail.

It says complete when its finished, but when I go to youtube the video isn't there. Tried it about 5 times and same thing every time.

My phone is rooted and flashed with the JI2 firmware and also loaded with the Captivate camera app. Currently photos and videos are both being put in the Internal SD's "camera" folder under DCIM and I'd like to make videos be saved elsewhere.

Feb 19, 2010Just bought this sprint samsung moment a few weeks ago, and I was wondering why I can't upload mobile pics from my phone to facebook. I have the facebook app on my phone and it does not seem to let me upload mobile pic's. In order for me to upload pic's I have to go to the mobile version of facebook and upload the pic via some email wich then post the pic for u, but the problem is it seems to post my pic's side ways.
I know lots of folks with other phones some of them crappy that just click on the photo and select upload to facebook....why can't I do that on this phone? Why does this phone not give me the option to upload from the pic? Why does the facebook app FOR android not let me upload photo's?

I had the same problem.When i first got my phone I had no problem everything synced into my contacts fine and for some stupid reason i deleted my accounts and when i tried to put them back in it didnt work again. I can get the updates but i cant get the actual contacts in my contact phonebook.SECONDLY NOW my twitter account for some reason has disappeared on its own and when i try to add the account it keeps saying that the login failed. Aug 11, 2010Facebook syncing to contacts was working great until tonight and it is driving me insane.I have two of the same facebook accounts synced.I'm sorry if this is confusing but basically, in Settings>>Accounts and sync: I have two facebook accounts synced but they are the same account.However, I do notice that the two icons are ever so slightly different.I am wondering if this is somehow syncing my facebook account through the app as well as through android.The reason why this is driving me nuts is because the accounts link to the contacts and for several contacts I have two facebook profiles synced, in addition to the phone contact, and gmail contact.This is really bugging the OCD-ness in me. Also when I search a contact to call or text for example, it might show one of their home numbers as "mobile" since it doesn't really know what type of number their facebook number(s) are.This problem started today when I shared my first picture through my phone onto facebook. I found it weird that it asked me to sign in again since I thought I had already done so through the app 'm sorry for such a long post, but I am wondering what I should do.Does this mean I should get rid of the facebook app?

Oct 5, 2010I have done some searching on this problem and the consensus is that there is some sort of a cap on uploading videos to Youtube that are larger than about 10 mb. If you try to upload a larger video Evo then says it is waiting to use WiFi to do the upload. This seems like a Sprint cap to me to prevent their network from having to handle the bandwidth of uploading anything but small videos. (what do we pay the extra $10 for? That's for another discussion.).SO, now that I am rooted, does anyone know how to change the settings and remove the cap so that I can upload larger videos via 3G or 4G without having to use a WiFi connection? I am rooted and on stock 3.29.651.5 Android 2.2. I do not want to use flash a custom ROM just for this ability.

Aug 3, 2010I took a video on the DINC video camera. Tried uploading to Youtube. Got a message that its waiting for a WIFI connection to do so. Problem is that all teh WIFIs in my hood are password protected. any ideas to work around this? Maybe my settings are off? I did transfer a crappy piss poor video that I shot with a Blackberry 8330 that I put on my SD card to Youtube with no problems.

Sep 4, 2010I'm running stock 2.2 OTA on my incredible. I attempted to upload a vid to youtube via "share" in the video album and failed. At first I thought it might be the camera locking the file. So I kill the camera app. Try again, nothing. It fails. I connect to my WiFi @ home see if it helps to no avail. It keeps trying to upload for a few times and eventually fails. I had to USB them to my pc and then upload them from there.
