After the update was complete, I got a white screen with red letters at the top that says "Cannot find jpg or png!" and now the phone won't work. I cannot redo the update because it loses connection with it after the 2nd powercycle in the update. Is there a way to fix this?

When I try to run the app Neocore my moment screen gets all black and white and the only thing that shows up are squares, I can't even see a picture of any kind. I don't know what else to do and also when I run the game raging thunder I get maybe 5 fps to the game. Can someone explain to me what is going on? Is it possible that my hardware on the phone is defective or maybe the update I got from samsung for the 2.1 is not gonna work with it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedTwo days ago (Saturday) I reflashed the CL14 update because my phone was constantly locking up (as in an eternal sleep that cannot be woken up, and the phone cannot be turned on unless the battery had been removed first) or going into the fake airplane mode.So, I installed about 10 different apps to start... the phone continued to work wonderfully all the way until just now.About 1 hour ago I ran the update on Sprint Navigation. An hour later, LOCKUP!I'm going to see if it locks up again. Then I'm going to reflash CL14 AGAIN and not update Sprint Nav.

1 - I have a Samsung Moment, and the calendar is black with white letters. It is VERY hard to read. Is there a way to change the color?
2 - Entering events takes so long that I usually just write an appointment on a piece of paper and enter it through Outlook later.
Is there an app that anybody can think of that allows a user to enter an event just by touching the screen and typing? Like Palm or even Outlook allows? That is so easy. I've tried IRT Calendar, Jorte, and various widgets, but nothing makes entering events easier. They all fix my first problem - they make it easier to read.. I can't stand the process of adding "new event", then selecting the date, time, naming the event, etc.
So I decided to upgrade the rom on my tmobile us sensation 4g and now it is stuck on the white screen with the green htc logo. Here are the steps that I took...
Download and run HTCSupertoolv3, run "root" option, run "attempt s-off and everything else" option - go through this process by getting key and submitting code to get update.bin file and then finish
Boot to recovery, phone says Unlocked at top
Download and run android recovery manager - flash clockworkmod5 on phone
Copy ordroid for sensation zip to sd card, boot to recovery, select zip file, go through installer - shows success
boot phone - white screen with htc logo
boot into recovery - wipe cache
white screen with htc logo, learn that I need latest firmware (3.3.2) for rom to work
copy pg58img.zip to sd card, do not modify file- boot into recovery, phone says parsing pg58img.zip - then nothing, no prompts or continue
boot phone - WHITE SCREEN WITH HTC LOGO
Randomly, when actively doing stuff on the phone, I go to white lines running from the top of the phone to the bottom when the screen was in portrait position. There were two of them on the right side, each line being a couple pixels in width, separated by a few pixels of normal screen. It lasted for a few seconds, and then the screen reset itself. It's only happened once or twice, but it should happen at all with such an expensive phone and nice screen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI put Cognition on my phone today, and made a backup image of the stock 2.1 before putting Cognition on. I decided I want to go back to the Stock, so I clicked the "manage backups" part of Clockwork, and "recover" on the image I saved. Next, the phone rebooted, and looked like it was installing the backup image, and rebooted again. However, it will not go past the White AT&T screen. Is my only option to use Odin to give it a factory reset? Or is there an easier way for me to do this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI went in on Friday morning to the Sprint store and got the update for my Moment. I must say it fixed my key complaints. When I got back to my office (where I never got GPS reading before) it showed me on Google maps right where I was -Yeah! The lag in keystroke to letters appearing appears to be almost entirely gone. And Battery Life is really improved - to a crazy point (in a good way). I pulled it off the charger this morning, checked some scores today and then pretty much spent all evening downloading apps / playing games, etc and I was shocked when I got done - Still had about 70% battery life. Good job Sprint. I would have liked to have had this w/o going into the store, but it only took about 15 minutes and I have store close by, so no biggie.

( see pic attached ) I have not dropped or mishandled the phone in any way. I took it to the nearest samsung service centre... they told me that the display needs to be replaced ... They say that the phone display is out of stock and they dont know by when it will be available.
I feel really cheated ... after purchasing such an expensive phone one never expects it to malfunction in less than 2 weeks. And samsungs customer care reps very conveniently replied that they dont know when it will be in stock and to keep in touch via calls. So much for buying an amazing phone.
my brand new samsung fascinate just went white. I went to push the button on the side to unlock it, and just lit up white. I went to do a hard reset and it did not solve the problem. When i restart phone, i can hear the phone start up music, and the soft buttons on the front work, but all i see is bright white. I had someone call me, and my phone rang, yet all i saw was a bright screen. When it goes idol to black, it wont turn back on at all.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhy is the 2.1 update for the Moment so complex. I have a droid and convinced my mother to get the moment a few months ago when she was do for an upgrade. She was over last night and I went to update her phone for her. Verizon updates are easy. You put an update.zip file on your sd card, reboot into recover, apply update.zip, reboot and your done. No computer needed since with Astro you can copy paste the update.zip file to the proper location if you download it via your phone. Not so with the moment. You have to download a .exe file and leave the device connected to your computer? there is a multi page guide to read? what? And no over the air update at all? With verizon you only had to do the update manually if you were too impatient to wait for your hand set to get the update OTA. This is another example of why sprint is doing so poorly. This is terrible customer service. My computer has all of its usb ports broken, but i have my phone rooted and flash new roms all the time and the lack of usb ports is no problem but i couldn't even update my mothers phone to a long awaited update because of this.

When I connect the phone when its NOT in download mode the USB composite device is detected and works. Everything is okay.
When in download mode, it will NOT work. The device is detected but it gives me the (The device cannot start) Code 10.
