I had to take it back yesterday it will not update my profile, I'm on sprint. rotation was lagging. and i had to install my gmail account to times before it didn't come up with an error. I don't know is this worth waiting it for 2.0. i don't know what they can do to fix the problem.

I just got back from the VZW store near work, and didn't bring an X back with me. They only had one left, and the rep put it aside for me while I played with it (again). In the end, I just couldn't do it... I'm not even sure why, but the little voice in the back of my head kept telling me "no, don't do it." Anyone else go to a store with plans to buy, and then change their minds? FYI, someone else walked in and bought the phone right when I told the rep I was going to pass on it...

However, in the past few weeks, I've lost 3G altogether even when I re-enable it. I've tried updating the profile & PRL, no luck. Any ideas? Hoping to not have to do a full phone wipe.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI went in on Friday morning to the Sprint store and got the update for my Moment. I must say it fixed my key complaints. When I got back to my office (where I never got GPS reading before) it showed me on Google maps right where I was -Yeah! The lag in keystroke to letters appearing appears to be almost entirely gone. And Battery Life is really improved - to a crazy point (in a good way). I pulled it off the charger this morning, checked some scores today and then pretty much spent all evening downloading apps / playing games, etc and I was shocked when I got done - Still had about 70% battery life. Good job Sprint. I would have liked to have had this w/o going into the store, but it only took about 15 minutes and I have store close by, so no biggie.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was in an area with some not so great reception this evening and at one point my text messages wouldn't send.I decided to update my profile and prl just to see what it could do for me and the updates failed. Oddly enough, I could still access 3g data, just no text.I could make phone calls, just no outgoing texts (can't confirm incoming).Anyway, on my way home, I sent myself a text and it worked fine, but I still couldn't connect to update my prl or profile which I've never had a problem with before. I got home and did a quick search and found this thread: Samsung Moment.Can't update Firmware, Profile, or PRL.I'd follow up with a call to Sprint to see if this might hopefully be the case, but they aren't available right now. Anyone else having trouble updating their prl or profiles tonight?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis morning I installed update 2.17.61.2 and since then I've noticed a fault with the auto-rotation feature. For things such as internet, SMS inbox, email inbox etc. the screen view is stuck on landscape and will not auto-rotate back to portrait when I tilt the phone
Also I tried playing Teeter and the ball doesn't move no matter how much I tilt the phone. I've tried resetting the G-Sensor Calibration but it doesn't resolve the fault.
I just got OS4.3 pushed to my Samsung Galaxy S3 and noticed the "eye" symbol in my notification bar. The icon remained there even though Smart-Stay wasn't enabled and I have no Smart-Rotation feature showing on my phone when I go into Settings->My Device->Smart Screen. Instead, the "Eye" icon disappears when I disable my screen rotation. My coworker, on a different wireless/phone carrier, got the 4.3 upgrade last week (on his Galaxy S3) and HAS the Smart-Rotate option in his settings.
I don't wan't the camera active and draining battery just because I have screen-rotation enabled.
I'm updating my moment to 2.1. i got the download, followed all instructions... my phone is sitting here connected with the "update in progress" yet... nothing is happening. it's sitting there. completely still.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhy is the 2.1 update for the Moment so complex. I have a droid and convinced my mother to get the moment a few months ago when she was do for an upgrade. She was over last night and I went to update her phone for her. Verizon updates are easy. You put an update.zip file on your sd card, reboot into recover, apply update.zip, reboot and your done. No computer needed since with Astro you can copy paste the update.zip file to the proper location if you download it via your phone. Not so with the moment. You have to download a .exe file and leave the device connected to your computer? there is a multi page guide to read? what? And no over the air update at all? With verizon you only had to do the update manually if you were too impatient to wait for your hand set to get the update OTA. This is another example of why sprint is doing so poorly. This is terrible customer service. My computer has all of its usb ports broken, but i have my phone rooted and flash new roms all the time and the lack of usb ports is no problem but i couldn't even update my mothers phone to a long awaited update because of this.

But the thing is right after i try one of those things i wait a minute or so then open up the browser and have a fine a connection.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install the new update that a rep at sprint told me to install using the SWupdate tool and I have a problem.
When I connect the phone when its NOT in download mode the USB composite device is detected and works. Everything is okay.
When in download mode, it will NOT work. The device is detected but it gives me the (The device cannot start) Code 10.
I have tried hundreds of things, including formatting and reinstalling a XP version on my comp.
I have drivers, PC Studio, EVERYTHING is not working...
Just did the software update for my moment and now I can't get on the market or internet.This really sucks.The only reason I did the upgrade was in order to use the bluetooth transfer app, which still doesn't work with Samsung.I'm really fighting not to throw my phone against the wall.Does anyone know how to fix my problems, or is it a way to do a rollback and use the old software.Everytime I go to Market, it says "A network error has occurred.Retry or cancel and return to the previous screen".It's been like a whole day now with the same message.

View 14 Replies View RelatedDropped my phone from about 6 feet today. And it was absolutely fine. It landed right on a tile floor too. I have a Verizon silicon-gloss case and a Zagg screen protector. Wrap your phone up and it should be fine, mine survived a pretty damn bad fall if you ask me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my Epic 2 days ago and I'm noticing a huge issue and I'm not really finding any help by googling it.
The issue:
Pretty much any time I use an app that accesses the SD card there's a 50/50 chance it lags out my phone and/or freezes it completely prompting me to have to pull the battery. Sometimes it does it while I'm not even using it, I pick it up and it's frozen. I can only assume that an app ran in the background to access the SD card.
Apps that have caused this:
media hub (downloading a tv show)
amazon mp3 (downloading a song)
asphalt 5 demo (downloading content)
mounted to computer (transferring a movie) -and-
random times when using or not using the phone. The most common denominator though is adding files/content to the sd card. Any help?
